For everybody watching this video I went through some serious serious electrical issues on a customer's 06 E350.... kept burning up the rear Sam module 3 times in ten months....every 3400 miles... nobody could figure it out that specialize in Mercedes... the dealership wanted $3000 to diagnose it only..no parts... after two months of painstaking delicate work on the car, I was able to find complete fuse diagrams online and a couple tips here and there... but nothing resembling Sam modules in the trunk literally melting...you would think Mercedes had seen this before to shed some light...NOPE!!...turned out to be the underhood battery control module. it took out part of the front SAM module... and the rear battery control module probably didnt help the rear SAM....those are very important they keep those batteries up and charged so the Sam module under the hood and the Sam module in the trunk can talk to each other....these cars will screw up bad if you don't know what you're looking for...COMMON PROBLEM WITH THOSE LITTLE BATTERY CONTROL MODULES...it will also turn on the battery warning light on instrument cluster....
First thing Any tech does with electrical issues is check the fuses FIRST!!!! THE FIRST THING YOU DO IS CHECK ANYTHING TO DO WITH STARTING, check the fuses!!!
My fob is not working at all. I see the lights on the fob even the IR light inside but nothing. The key is almost as if it isn’t programmed to the car anymore and that’s crazy being non volatile memory
Ok Guys , Had the same problem on a 06, E 320 CDI, Full dash Illumination, Glove box light on, No crank no start, Tried all the relays, and starter fuses, All good , went through every fuse until I found Fuse 54B , 54b Illuminated cigar lighter, It was blown, 15 Amp. Fixed the problem, Not sure what else this controls, Thanks, Mercedes. I never thought it would be a fuse because it failed to start one day when I was in a parking lot, so it just keep switching the ignition and evenly it started, brought it home and shut it off and no start, really does not make sense if the fuse was blown it should never have restarted in the parking lot. Good Luck.
I went into the store yesterday shut my S550 Mercedes all came back out all the dash lights come on the air conditioning everything comes on but then when I pushed it to start the car nothing just one click but would not start what can that be
Both the batteries are brand new they were tested it was not the battery is there a fumes or is there something a fuse because a malfunction light had came on earlier before I shut the car off but went off immediately but it does say mouth function quite often but nothing like this has ever happened
I'm just going to throw this out there as a general rule of thumb for E-Class Mercedes 2006 and up not sure how many years but if you ever have issues with your E350 in that year era and you got some - lights on for the little battery and or you shut the car off in your cooling fan keeps running and or you smell something from the trunk like electrical and or sometimes you have trouble starting the car like it cranks over but does not fire up and your headlights don't work accompanied with these symptoms it is going to be the rear Sam module for sure
IKR, While I do appreciate his effort, his method of conveying help could use some planning to help with relaying necessary information. I just watched another vid of his and same thing, info missing.
It’s a fuse box under the hood, the side panel where u turn your lights on has a fuse box behind it and yes there’s one in the trunk of your vehicle also

NO....NO...NO.... I've been a mechanic for 35 years ....I've been recently working on someone's Mercedes like I just was talking about recently... I will never take on another customer with a Mercedes ...even the old late model 90s are hard to work on, but nothing like 2002 up... they are horrible... they're very very very technical ...most of the problems of no start and illuminated lights on your dash are attributed to faulty Sam modules that you can mail out and get fixed... if you do it that way you do not even have to program them...
My e350 abs esc inoperable lights went on tonight, the car still ran but kinda weirdly. I’ve heard glove box light from someone else I thought they were messing with me, I’m going to check it in the morning
@@cookingwithkratos it was hub bearing , when I went to take off locking nut the spindle was also spinning, come to find out the bearing seized, breaking off part of the spindle had to replace hub bearing and knuckle
You can't expect to have questions like that answered on line man if you have a car like that you better be mechanically inclined yes mechanics are expensive and especially on Mercedes they are atrocious to repair and horrible to pay for but sometimes you got to suck it up or get rid of the car cuz no one can diagnose a car accurately online
RUclips must stop you for bolshating ! You are waisting people times. If RUclips not going to stop you mo fu for sure who recording and recorded your all videos will take RUclips to the court for doing this against people who really need information about their car

Moral of the story… CHECK YOUR FUSES!
You seriously showed the engine bay for 7 mins straight and just talked the entire time
