    I have a 2015 mercedes benz c300 no crank, shift selector not powering up, the 30amp fuse to the starter is a stray ground. I checked with a power probe, and then I put power to the fuse with my power probe, and I get the engine to cranck. That's crazy I can see powering the starter relay but not the fuse. This car is a nightmare, nothing like I ever had before. Need help. A y Ideas would be greatly appreciated.

      Check for power at 86 of the starter relay.
      You said you have ground at 85 while cranking? If you have power at 86 and ground at 85. Then you must get a crank. You cannot have power at 86 and ground at 85 and get a no crank. We already know you have power at 30 and that it transfers to 87 because you're jumping the relay and starting the car successfully.

    Hey bro i am facing the same issue with my Mercedes e280cdi 2007 | went to a car wash to give it the clean under body wash and after driving it back to home, it was fine. After a few hours. I tried starting the car, the key isn't rotating in the ignition. Then I remove the ECU and the clean, the every trace of water droplets after sometime. The car started honking by itself, then I disconnected the horn and then I disconnected battery after 12 hours. I connected the battery and the horns are not honking by itself, and I tried starting my car. It started as usually it starts and after going about 5 km. I went back to my home and then I tried starting my car whenever I put my key in ignition on the last tab where the engine is about to start (the radiator fans kick in with the maximum speed) and the car is not turning over and then I open the fuse box, cleaned it with the board cleaner.
    There was a little trace of rust i cleaned it with the toothpick. And I have checked all the fuses and relays, there is not a single fuse. turned bad, but whenever I turn the key to own position, the fan starts at maximum speed, and I haven't applied your method to start the car, but I think you have very vast knowledge about my problem and i hope you will help me in this issue

Happened this 2-3 times in the last week. Is this a sign that something is kind of found to die soon? Is this an indication that some relays or fuse or ecm is going to fail soon?

      @@zahariastoianovici8590 yes this means something is failing. It’s not a fuse, when a fuse breaks, it won’t work intermittently.
      It could be a relay, it could be the ECM. Do the test in this video when it’s not starting. If you get no ground at the starter relay as shown in the video. It’s your ecm.

    Hey 2015 Mercedes C300. Changed the key fob battery and the next day car wouldn’t start. It does a click at first but it won’t start all the dash lights come on the AC comes on and the radio just won’t start. Any guess what the problems could be? Guessing the starter is the problem.

    • @mercedesbenzspecialist
      @mercedesbenzspecialist  4 месяца назад

      Starter sounds like a good guess. Guessing is for fun. You can easily find the issue by testing a few parts.
      First battery voltage. Use a volt meter or take the batter to a parts store for a load test. It’s should be above 12.3 volts.
      Next check your starter fuse and relay. There are hundreds of videos on RUclips showing how to test a relay.
      Test your starter. You can do this with a wire through your fuse box. Or go underneath and test it directly by bridging the b+ 13mm nut. and switch 10mm nut with a screwdriver. If you do those tests, you won’t have to guess.

      Battery voltage is around 12.6?
      Starter fuse is good?
      Starter relay is an OEM working relay?
      Will your starter turn if you jump starter relay terminals 87 and 30?
      You do have red and yellow dash lights on the cluster when the key is turned to the on position?
      You do get a ground signal at terminal 85 like I show in this video?
      You should find battery voltage at terminal 30 always.
      You should have battery voltage at 86 when cranking.

    What do we do when the lights don't even come on? I have a W204 C250, and I had an issue with the ESL, and got it replaced with an emulator. I get a DTC that my ABS failed and the car won't drive too fast. I make it home and park, try to unlock the car in the morning, and I get no response from unlocking the car, to the point I had to call a locksmith. He opens it, the alarm goes off, and I put it in the ignition, and the car cranks on the first try. After that, I cut it off, go to Autozone, and come back. Car doesn't start and no lights on the dash. Only codes I've gotten is : C0031, P0705
    So my symptoms are:
    No Dash Lights
    Car Won't recognize the Key Fob, even when inserted
    Front Left Wheel Speed Sensor Malfunction
    No Crank whatsoever
    Have yall ever heard of a wheel sensor making a car unable to start? I dont have ESL issues so what could it be?

    • @mercedesbenzspecialist
      @mercedesbenzspecialist  3 месяца назад +1

      First you have to address the no dash lights. This indicates you don’t have drive authorization. There is a problem with one or more of the three components that grant drive authorization.
      The EIS, ESL, and key. If you don’t have dash lights. One of these is the issue.

      How do you know the key fob is fine?
      If it won’t start the car.

      When someone is cranking the vehicle, you should find ground at slot 85 and battery power at 86. Slot 30 should have battery power on always. If 85 and 86 have power and ground they will close the relay circuit sending battery power from 30 through 87 directly to circuit 50 (that's the circuit going directly to your starter solenoid.
      If you're wondering what slot 85 86 30 and 87 are. I'm referring to the slots in the fuse box located at the firewall on the driver side where the starter relay lives. Pull up the starter relay and you will find these slots. Your relay will probably have a diagram on the cover.
