Check for power at 86 of the starter relay. You said you have ground at 85 while cranking? If you have power at 86 and ground at 85. Then you must get a crank. You cannot have power at 86 and ground at 85 and get a no crank. We already know you have power at 30 and that it transfers to 87 because you're jumping the relay and starting the car successfully.

Hey bro i am facing the same issue with my Mercedes e280cdi 2007 | went to a car wash to give it the clean under body wash and after driving it back to home, it was fine. After a few hours. I tried starting the car, the key isn't rotating in the ignition. Then I remove the ECU and the clean, the every trace of water droplets after sometime. The car started honking by itself, then I disconnected the horn and then I disconnected battery after 12 hours. I connected the battery and the horns are not honking by itself, and I tried starting my car. It started as usually it starts and after going about 5 km. I went back to my home and then I tried starting my car whenever I put my key in ignition on the last tab where the engine is about to start (the radiator fans kick in with the maximum speed) and the car is not turning over and then I open the fuse box, cleaned it with the board cleaner. There was a little trace of rust i cleaned it with the toothpick. And I have checked all the fuses and relays, there is not a single fuse. turned bad, but whenever I turn the key to own position, the fan starts at maximum speed, and I haven't applied your method to start the car, but I think you have very vast knowledge about my problem and i hope you will help me in this issue

OK. I have a GLK 350 4matic 2012. Just replaced battery. Car is receiving power. Cannot get a crank or NO lights on dashboard. Could be possible water damage Inside car and near the fuse box. What’s my next move ?
I have similar problems for my c-300 from2012. Trying 5-6 times to start and light on board but did not crank the starter after a while and 5-6 tries it’s start. Happened this 2-3 times in the last week. Is this a sign that something is kind of found to die soon? Is this an indication that some relays or fuse or ecm is going to fail soon?
@@zahariastoianovici8590 yes this means something is failing. It’s not a fuse, when a fuse breaks, it won’t work intermittently. It could be a relay, it could be the ECM. Do the test in this video when it’s not starting. If you get no ground at the starter relay as shown in the video. It’s your ecm.
Hi, I've got a e220 cdi but get no esl lights. Fuses are all good and relays but will be checking the connections and cables today. Is there anyway of removing the fusebox?
Hey 2015 Mercedes C300. Changed the key fob battery and the next day car wouldn’t start. It does a click at first but it won’t start all the dash lights come on the AC comes on and the radio just won’t start. Any guess what the problems could be? Guessing the starter is the problem.
Starter sounds like a good guess. Guessing is for fun. You can easily find the issue by testing a few parts. First battery voltage. Use a volt meter or take the batter to a parts store for a load test. It’s should be above 12.3 volts. Next check your starter fuse and relay. There are hundreds of videos on RUclips showing how to test a relay. Test your starter. You can do this with a wire through your fuse box. Or go underneath and test it directly by bridging the b+ 13mm nut. and switch 10mm nut with a screwdriver. If you do those tests, you won’t have to guess.
I have a problem with starting a Mercedes W205 180d, after discharging the battery and replacing it with a new one, the car does not start, after turning the key, the starter does not turn, the handbrake and ABS errors appear, the display between the clocks does not want to go off even after closing the car with the key and opening the trunk lid. halfway
W203 and W204 both have steering locks. We have an ESL emulator for the W203 as well. Call us when you're at your vehicle so we can try and diagnose it on the spot. 818 510 3375
Battery voltage is around 12.6? Starter fuse is good? Starter relay is an OEM working relay? Will your starter turn if you jump starter relay terminals 87 and 30? You do have red and yellow dash lights on the cluster when the key is turned to the on position? You do get a ground signal at terminal 85 like I show in this video? You should find battery voltage at terminal 30 always. You should have battery voltage at 86 when cranking. If all of these are happening. You should get a crank.
@@mercedesbenzspecialist I did all the steps and everything is fine, only the step of connecting the 87 and 30 I did it and it did nothing so what could it be?
Hi, I tried everything that you explained in the video. All the cluster light turn on, I hear the steering lock unlocking, I have ground signal at pin 85, have 12.5V at pins 30 and 86, but I don’t have power to pin 87 in the fuse box while someone is cranking. What could be? Please help!
Power is transferred to 87 from 30 by the starter relay. With the starter relay out, power will not be transferred from 30 to 87. Maybe the starter relay is bad. If you solved the issue, please share with us what it was.
