It's so cool that I was just expecting there to be a jumpscare at any point in the level, but only when the level "ends", the time where I wasn't really expecting anything something actually happened. That actually kinda frightened me lmao. I really liked how the level just stopped and everything turned gray, I honestly thought my screen was frozen haha. Love this update

This feels so much more improved than the original. This update definitely makes you feel more uncomfortable and shocked more than the cheap jumpscares in the previous version. It especially feels tense because you're expecting the level to scare you in the normal places but then it doesn't. Amazing work.

At first glance, I thought the scares would be in the same places but slightly altered a bit, but after seeing that the first scare wasn’t where it was before along with the others, it absolutely terrified me for the rest of the level, as I didn’t know what was coming and where. Amazing work once again MindCap and everyone involved in this level!

I praise you for the experience you and your team created in this update. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen before in GD. If I am being honest, I wasn’t a huge fan of the first version, it felt a little cheaper with more emphasis put on jumpscares and shock value. This one though… just slowly but surely creates an intimidating atmosphere, ripe with tension. Seriously well done, this was so authentic in every aspect.

i love how this whole level is about subverting expectations
the teasers for the original version was playing it off as a normal level, only for it to be spooky as we all know, and then the teasers for this update were even better, playing it off as a normal level AGAIN with the expectations of scary shenanigans happening once again.
then the premiere came, it played like a normal level, and we were baited. then comes the "end "of the level, and we were baited ONCE AGAIN with the spookies coming back. i loved the callbacks to the original version, such as the faces of HER being broken and scattered in the last pillar segment. then the level turns back to normal, then breaks again, and it ends.

See, this level didn't have a bunch of jumpscares like the original one, there was only one that kinda got me. But the scariest part of the original level (the one very slow and tense part towards the end) is now the main focus on this one and it's actually pretty scary now, good job Mindcap, you ended my halloween pretty well.
I write horror and other genres in my spare time, this pretty much is an amazing example of something I would use to teach other people how to write horror, the tension and fear and silence kills more than any jumpscare ever will. This is a masterclass in art and writing and it’s a fucking gd level lmao, well fucking done I loved every second of this

Mindcap your a genius for editing songs and making a level out of them. I love this. Although it takes away most of the scare factors it's really cool. Great job to all creators for making this masterpiece

The previous collab level was scary, but lost it’s creepy factor after a few watches. Now this is actually unsettling, I like it.
Me in the pillar section: not again..
Who else noticed the creepy face in the first pillar part (4:04) ? I'm certain it's a remnant of the last screamer of the original collab level. Its kinda hard to spot, but I guess that's why it tells you to "LOOK CLOSELY" lol. I first saw this when re-watching it a couple times, and when I looked hard enough I saw it.
Edit: I'm pretty sure there's also a second smaller and more distant one, which I saw looking through the editor. Good luck finding them (:
Also in the red part (5:24) if you turn up your brightness you can see little eyes opening as you pass though. A nice touch that not a lot of people seemed to notice.
Something that has probably been pointed out by now is that the last part of the "main level" is changed up a bit after all the scary bits. At first it is grayscale with some bits of yellow here and there and the arrows pointing backwards, as if warning you that the spookies are near and you shouldn't go further. However the second instance of this part has a lot more colors, the ship part is rainbow-y, and the arrows are all pointing downward, as if encouraging you to leave the level. This is also backed up by the text at 6:55 telling you to "GET OUT", and the fact that the endscreen is right after it with no annoying and epileptic screamer at the end like the original collab level, and it just letting you be free. (idk this is just my take on these details)

Although i never found collab level scary, this version is SO MUCH BETTER! Holy sh*t, you've outdone yourself on this one. AWESOME JOB, COLLAB LEVEL TEAM
i love this idea so much. the original version was the spooky scary one with jumpscares and stuff, only to go on to rerelease it with none of the same scares and then completely flip the concept around and change every single scare. and god the details are so good i love this kind of just uncannyish horror where you arent just jumpscaring someone its just uncomfortable, and i swear my anxiety peaked when that eyeball one around 6ish minutes showed up because things like that screw with me so much. this is just so cool and i love the idea of taking something that was supposed to be horror, saying "hey no this is safe now see" only to turn it around instantly to something even scarier is great, one of my favorite levels lol this is just so cool
as an avid spooky's jumpscare mansion fan, it's always a pleasant surprise to see it referenced in different ways through both versions of this level

What Scares me the *Most* in this frame is the Unsettling Silence with a Freeze Frame thinking “Oh, the Game Crashed” but it didn’t, what’s most interesting / Creepy is that… the eye seems to be more Unsettling the longer you stare at the Eye itself…

Adding onto it: I Think that the whole entire level before the fake end screen was the real remaster that the player was going through, But then once it finished, The player's nightmares started to reform from the old version of the level, But they were different, They were all abandoned and destroyed after the update, And the player encountered the old ruins in the nightmare
This is seriously some of the coolest shit. It's so terrifying. What makes it all the more unsettling is it's characters you know too.

Also the arrows being backwards at the "end" of the level the first time, then facing the right way with glowing lights the last time before completion, is a great touch :)

I don’t know how much tou are into creating, but there are many tools that can be used to create art in GD such as move triggers. But yeah, this level is very special in its atmosphere.

This update terrified the shit out of me. The original one was excellent already, but HOLY when I saw that the jumpscares weren't where they were supposed to be I was frightened as HELL. I didn't know what to except and where. Honestly this version is not even that terrifying at all in the end of the day. But I rewatched the original so many times that I basically knew by memory where the scares were located in the video. And this update really added it to the experience. Absolutely 10/10 for me.

the entire time i was watching the level at the start i was expecting a jumpscare at any time, the fact that its a normal level until the end is very clever as you're expecting to get jumpscared but it instead makes a very creepy and uncomfortable atmosphere. i also love how the level insinuates that you are dreaming and you have to wake up.

I love the fact that the original put a lot more value on cheap jumpscares yet still scaring people, but the atmosphere and tension on this one made the level exponentially scarier, and the fact that all the previous scares are now gone when i was expecting them to appear is even more terrifying, it made the situation more tense and made me more vigilant for any jumpscares.
You basically pulled a Mandela Catalogue and Generation Loss on us, and I love it.
This version is way better then the original hands down, somehow you managed to build atmosphere in a fucking gd level, huge props

super creepy and tense, especially when you know the original level fairly well, because you’re expecting jumpscares throughout the first few minutes until you get thrown into a super eerie part which is a lot scarier than the original to me

Okay i've just experienced the most insane thing ever that was so scary and so timed i dont even understand how it happened
Okay so at around 6:00 my computer froze, and i was just like 'what' and then after a few second I had a message saying 'GeometryDash.exe has stopped working' so I was like 'ayo' and then I clicked on 'Close the program' (It wasnt even opened in the first place) and then RIGHT AFTER the game didn't close, it just started working and at that EXACT MOMENT the level in the video went into the 6:27 phase and stopped making noises so I was so fucking scared I thought the video hacked my computer or some shit and I was like 'is it just my gd or something weird' so i went into my level and online levels everything was fine but then there was that fucking noises at 6:41 and 6:56 that scared the shit out of me cuz i thought the video stopped playing and i was like 'bro please what is happening' and i just closed gd and saw that the video was still playing and i probably just clicked on the gd icon with my touchpad by mistake but bro that was so scary i legit thought i got hacked by a fucking video

I genuinely thought you wouldn't change the audio cause that would be too much for a simple update, but when the jumpscares didn't happen, I PANICKED. Absolutely brilliant work!
Although I did find the cheap jumpscares really effective and I do miss them, I do feel as though this version is a lot more complete and professional
