- Geometry Dash 2.2 is OUT! I show in this video the way to get more diamonds, a secret from the shopkeeper, opening chests, and also my new icons!

For those wonder the most economic way to spend keys, I went through Aeon's video of ALL the new chests and sorted them out by which chest on average gives you the most stuff per 100 keys spent on average. It only includes the new rewards so the first 200 1 key chests and the first 48 5 key chests are not included in my math.

I think having like a multiple sets of icons (that we can equip) will be such a big life upgrade, imagine if u could create ur 10 favourite icon sets and being able to switch them with a few buttons instead of going through everything again.
would be cool to see rob add a presets feature too

That would be such a great idea, it would at the very least be a useful tool for saving your favorite so that you can mess around with icons without having to fix everything you changed
I personally would love to see a "random icon/ship/ball etc." option that would randomize your setup for every level/attempt/transition (any of these really) or even just randomize everything at a press of a button. I want to have variety in my picks because then I think all of my collection matters, not just the selected few.

Opening the 1 key chests gives most different icons but I think starting with the 100 key chests and saving the 1 key chests for last is the most rewarding if you don’t have enough keys to unlock every chest right away.
The 1 and 5 key give most icons imo the later chests do too b ur are more xoensive
@@thedarkroom6416 That’s why I opened the most expensive chests 1st. That way I can get rewards more frequently after I ran out of my excess keys from update 2.113.
I have 4keys I never beat demons any reacomentations
@@Jungle25 You still get keys for every 500 orbs you get from playing levels, you just don’t get them as fast when you only play easier levels & I know because I don’t play demon difficulty levels either.
@@pacifistichuman82649 Play a bunch of the more difficult levels from 7 stars to easy demons.

The new ship you're using is pretty much 1:1 recreation of the Dragonfolly boss from the Terraria Calamity Mod. I think all the items you got from that 100 key chest with it are too, I know there is a cube based on the Devourer of Gods
theres a wave based on the destroyer, and obviously a ship based on the eye of Cthulu as well. Terraria fans eating well with the representation

The alien set you got from the 100 key chest was actually a reference to the terraria calamity mod. The icons were themed after the devourer of gods, and its servants

The star/moon and coin quests are really easy if you play platformer levels, most platformer levels are easy, yes, including insane and harder levels
thanks dude i will keep those tips in mind when i grind diamonds again. scratch and potbor ordered a managable amount of diamonds but the new mechanic and diamond shopkeeper ordering an amount in the thousands was a realy low blow to relativetly new players such as myself
This weeks weekly demon was my first ever easy demon (and demon in general). Really fun level lol

omg i felt like i was the only one noticing that the demon key drops are more common, since 2.2 i've gotten more than these last 7 years, makes it easier to get chests than before
A challenge that I've already completed is to buy everything from all the shops. I think it adds up to over 300k orbs and diamonds.

The pain of having most of my favorite icons be locked behind the 50 and 100 key chests is real. Imo your current spider and ufo are the best in the game.

What I’ve been doing is gauntlets. You get diamonds after beating every level. Then after you finish a gauntlet, you get a chest. Plus you will be getting quests done along the way.

The Mega Gengar spider has to be my favorite spider. I love Pokemon, and Gengar has always been my favorite Ghost-type. So whenever I get that, I would probably main it in GD.

Fun-fact: the first 1-10 chests are better to grind resources, 10 being more valuable giving some more resources, but from 25-100 is better to grind icons, so you should open these if you already broke the economy or have an icon in there you wish to have.
Even though it is sad to be equiping new icons after 7 years your old ones will still always be there smiling back at you whenever you play Geometry Dash.

if you dont complete a daily/weekly level will it carry ove to the next day untill you complete or will it be cycled out in place of something else.
For some reason for me chests, quests, saving my progress and even editing stuff for creating a level stopped working for me after the update and i dont know if its just my computer

I actually went orb grinding since you need 50k orbs for the paths and I got a really good amount just from 4 stars and 10% from Medium Demos.

I believe the ship and the path of shadow spider are from the Terraria calamity mod, specifically Dragonfolly and Signus. Don't quote me on that though. Love to see it!

The ship you chose is a direct reference to Terraria’s biggest mod, Calamity mod and it’s boss the dragonfolly
Fun fact about the your new ship, it's a (sorta) fire dragon from a terraria mod :) so the fire trail fits alot

EVW, your phoenix ship is a reference to a Terraria modded boss named Dragonfolly just so you know. (The mod is named Calamity Mod.)
You should try using glow, also u should do I wanna be the guy for the last demon of christmas lol, its hard but prob will take like 4 hours total which isnt too bad for an extreme.. also ur good at platformers so you might beat it quicker but there is annoying sliding in the gd platformer so u need to get used to that
