I just hate the rage bait that affects innocent people. Like that guy who spilled an entire can of paint at Home Depot, ruining thousands of dollars in material and making the employees clean up his mess. If you wanna spend YOUR money wasting food, makeup etc and you’re doing it from the comfort of your own home, go ahead. Those videos are easy to spot from a mile away and I immediately scroll past them. But I hate even seeing the type of stuff people do in public to cause outrage. The algorithm shouldn’t reward people who hurt or endanger others.
This new form of rage bait is literally the “all attention is good attention” phrase like a lot of it now is just people being overtly problematic for views and grifting, like the bait guy. It seems like such an exhausting thing to do and I feel like we’re gonna see some of these creators get burnt out soon. I feel like people used to cringe bait people for attention or try to enrage people with harmless opinions but a lot of people have gotten carried away for attention and to hurt others.
the thing that gets we with companies making really dark shades like that is, they go completely left every time but they'll have 50 million different shades for lighter skin with just small differences to make all lighter tones included.
The 50 "different " type of beige is ridiculous. I don't even see a difference in those colours and then you get 3 dark colours. It's so lazy and insulting, i can't believe they just put black pigment in a bottle and called it a foundation. It's absolutely disgusting.

There's a type of psychotherapy called Transactional Analysis. In this therapy they talk about ego strokes. An ego stroke is how we get recognised by others and is therefore a fundamental need for all human beings. If we can't get a positive ego stroke then we will accept a negative ego stroke because it still leads to recognition. So I can see why brands and individuals user rage baiting/marketing - they don't feel they can get positively recognised (e.g. for a great product) so will seek the negative ego stroke; Both options mean that, at least for a little while, they will get recognised. This means the need gets met and the behaviour gets reinforced as an effective way to get recognition. I think this underpins trolling behaviour as well. In my clinical experience (worked in psychology for a decade), what usually works best is a neutral response/ignoring the attempt to rage bait and focussing on the need for recognition and why they've learned to use that strategy. It also helps if we can be less reactive cause in the long run it will reduce the effectiveness of this strategy.
