Since we have to be nitpicky, I will point out one thing, the neck collar on the SS 86 Bumble Bee is a "fo part" since it is not really the rear window of the car, since that part ends up on his back. The original toy and cartoon series had the rear window become his neck collar. So to me it comes down whether you want parts forming or fake parts plus no parts forming. Cannot deny how sweet the Netflix Bumble Bee alt mode is so he tends to get my win for which one is better while the SS one is more cartoon accurate if you do not look at his back.
Studio series Bee and Netflix Bee are two separate characters, one was just based off the other. Netflix bee has a completely different backstory and attitude then 86 Bee. You change a characters backstory and you change the character. 86 Megatron is a different character then modern Megatron cause he lacks the D-16 backstory. Archivist Orion Pax is completely different from Dock Work Orion Pax thereby becoming different Optimus Primes. Archivist based Optimus was more standoffish and by the book whilst Dock worker based Optimus hung out with his men. One was Picard whilst the other was Kirk.
Someone was saying to me, if you take Origin Bumblebee and remove the kibble on his legs and back, he's the most accurate-looking G1 Bumblebee in his Robot mode.
License or no license, the angular torso is big turn off for me. It's definitely more offensive in car mode, because it makes him look more like G1 Hubcap than Bumblebee. Might be a pass for me.
Netflix for me. With the upgrade kit he's also no longer a parts former. Ss86 legs look a little scrawny to me and his staircase forearms look weird to me, also his taller platform shoes look off to me. Netflix box arms, girthier legs, and lower shoes win it for me, but no doubt both are awesome.
But, I will say, I do want to see SS86 Cliffjumper redone this way, just for the sake of not having to flip around his chestpiece and remove the back of the car, and get an eventual Bumper and Hubcap (plus red/blue/white BB, yellow/blue CJ, teal CJ (Glyph), red Bumper, and chrome red G2 Hubcap repaints). I prefer real-world car modes if at all possible, though, to these super-deformed ones. Looking at it, I now really want a 3rd Party company to take SS86, fix the roof and back to look like a VW, and I'd buy that instead.
As a massive hater of Partsforming, i take this as a personal victory 🎉🎉 Nah, in all seriousness, the Earthrise Cliffjumper mold isn't terrible, but I'll take the new version every day in the week

Thanks for your detailed and honest comment. I appreciate it.
@@ToysareRuss My pleasure! And thank you for the great content,
I think the SS86 version is successful in what it's intended to be, and i like it. I only wish the roof blended in more smoothly.
This is a really early version of the figure. The main mass produced one might be slightly different
Simehow just prefer the worlds collide bumblebee most. Are the heads for netflix bb and ss86 swapable?
I’m not sure. I’ll check for you.
How did you get this so quick
Hasbro lent it me to review. There’s a full review on here too.
@@ToysareRuss Well my hat's off to you Mr.Russ
Hope it's worth whatever they're paying you for the promotion of this toy.
@@TF80s I’m not being paid by hasbro. They’ve just allowed me the privilege of reviewing him first officially, before someone gets a stolen figure and reviews it first.
Thanks for your precise and detailed comment
Love this mold! Hopefully we also get a Cliffjumper, Hubcap, Glyph and Bugbite!
Yes me need all of them
I prefer the SS86 Bee. No parts forming. Bot mode looks nicer. Pennyracer alt mode. Looks great
Glad the video was useful for you.
It looks like they were going for toy accuracy on the vehicle mode.
It’s more animation as the toy is rounded
As someone who wasn't lucky enough to find the Netflix figure, I'll be very happy to get this SS version
That’s great for you
Studio series Bee and Netflix Bee are two separate characters, one was just based off the other.
Thanks for your detailed comment
I have my own community now made Bumblebee vote
Which is your favourite?
Well everyone vote WFC Trilogy Bumblebee
@@G1Grimlock94 share this video on your channel / community then.
@@ToysareRuss it's done
Absolutely prefer the new one.
I think he’s great for robot mode display
@@ToysareRuss i like the alt mode too. Hits the spot between generic enough to be legally distinct and... Looking like the wee beetle.
Original Masterpiece Bumblebee is still the best Bumblebee.
That’s a great figure but costs loads more than the mainline versions
Hmm, so I'm gonna assume the feet is just high enough that the wheels aren't affecting it
That’s correct. There’s a separate review on here too
Can you do a review on the pretender bumbelbee
I’ve done one already. Just type pretender bumblebee in to the search bar on this channel
Someone was saying to me, if you take Origin Bumblebee and remove the kibble on his legs and back, he's the most accurate-looking G1 Bumblebee in his Robot mode.
Origin bee is great in both modes.
Great video! Just one question… WHERE IS SWOOP!!
I should have him ready and done for Saturday.
I think they took the car proportions a bit too far.
As in animation accurate or something else
License or no license, the angular torso is big turn off for me. It's definitely more offensive in car mode, because it makes him look more like G1 Hubcap than Bumblebee. Might be a pass for me.
I’m glad this video helped
netflix would have been perfect if not for the partsforming
They’re both good in their own ways
wow that was quick
Hasbro lent me a copy to get the first review out
Netflix for me. With the upgrade kit he's also no longer a parts former. Ss86 legs look a little scrawny to me and his staircase forearms look weird to me, also his taller platform shoes look off to me. Netflix box arms, girthier legs, and lower shoes win it for me, but no doubt both are awesome.
This one will definitely split the fandom
@@ToysareRuss They're so close, the difference is nitpicking. Similar to debating whether rumble/frenzy is red/blue.
So where did you actually get him?
From hasbro as I have said in the other videos I’ve done using him.
@@ToysareRuss oh wow, congrats then dude
@@somerelativleyuninterestin4763 thanks very much bud
I’m sure that will happen as well.
The gamer Bumblebee reminds me of Quasi modo.
I can see what you’re saying there. 😀
As a massive hater of Partsforming, i take this as a personal victory 🎉🎉
Nah, in all seriousness, the Earthrise Cliffjumper mold isn't terrible, but I'll take the new version every day in the week
It is good this guy is one solid piece
This just looks like garbage. He turns into a clown car, and is only slightly bigger than a Legends class figure. He makes 2006 Bumblebee look huge.... I'm sorry, but G1 Bumblebee's design needs to stay in the 80's, because Hasbro keeps fumbling it. Good review, man, bad toy.
You come very very late to the size discussion.
Thanks for your honest and detailed comment
I hope they remember to put the spoiler on Cliffjumper chest on the studio version of this when they release it
I’m sure they will
Both modes the series 86 wins, the car mode is accurate to the original toy and cartoon
He’s going to be a big seller
gamer bumblebee has such bad posture. Glad hasbro is doing accurate depictions of us
This is better than the gamer one
I cannot stand the Netflix figure being a partsformer but love the color and alt mode. 86 looks great in both bot and alt mode but prefer the Netflix's alt mode and color better. I don't like the painted windows. I prefer clear windows. Still, looks great because it looks like an updated G1 toy.
That’s very insightful. So will you get the new one as well then?
@@ToysareRuss I will.
Except the G1 toy vehicle mode was toon accurate...not VW accurate but toon accurate. This new one definitely is not accurate to anything.
@@TF80s Where did I say "accurate"? Are you collecting my figures for me? You also know that the toy came first, THEN the cartoon? They did not make a "toon accurate toy".
Good God, that '86 car mode looks hideous.
It’s animation accurate to a made up vehicle
@@ToysareRuss Did it really look like in animation?
@@RiceDaddy07 yes because it wasn’t allowed to be VW. They didn’t have the licence. They basically made up a car
If u get the upgrade piece for the Netflix bee it's a perfect bumblebee I think the 86 looks bad
I’ve not seen the upgrade kit. I’ll look now
