Yeah, it's gotta be the worst color matching since Earthrise Sunstreaker. How they screwed that up is beyond me considering that the Autobots United five-pack version is just about perfect.
Bumblebee is one of those figures that you have to mess with in person to fully appreciate it. The transformation is very satisfying and he's great fun to mess with.
I happen to randomly come across that Netflix Bumblebee and Soundwave at Wally World back when they were new, def glad I pounced on them when I saw em.
Although another RUclipsr didn’t like the head sculpt I think it’s the best head sculpt. In bot mode it’s perfect and I love the penny racer look. To improve it would be great if toyhax gave us the dell shade blue windows and, come on, he needs his back wheel. But overall I want this it looks great.
IMO, the BEST "G1" Bee so far. The only true flaw is the lack of a VW licence, making his car mode "PS1" looking. The bot is perfect, FAR superior to the second MP. Plus the car is fun, and the transformation is perfect.
I really like this bumblebee. The robot mode harkens back to the G1 version. However I think that the wave crusher bumblebee is my favorite bumblebee toy. (I think it was a delux class) Both great fun though.
I really like the look of this BB, I should be getting mine soon. He looks so good, and so much fun to mess with. In alt mode, he didn't look lined up properly, does your copy have issues tabbing together ?
Can't wait for this one. It's such a nicer toy than the prior one. Say what you will about the parts forming, the less than 1mm posts on the Bazooka pieces is the real issue with that toy. :(
I hope this becomes a Bug Bite so i can add him to an E-Hobby GoBots set. Already have Road Ranger, Pathfinder, Treds ad Small Foot got announced so it's just Bug Bite and a Bad Boy from Powerglide left.
hmmmm, you could probably plug the gun into the hand instead of just throwing it in the back when in its penny racer mode so that it can be secure. Awesome little guy
This bumblebee and TFONE Optimus are prime examples of why I don't really care for Price/Size anymore. In one hand we've got Optimus, who's a really big deluxe, with various accessories and a lot of articulation, on the other we have Bumblebee being the second smallest deluxe ever made and it only includes one little accesory. It would seem that OP should be the easy winner among the two of them, but in execution Bumblebee is almos flawless (except for the yellow mismatch), with great tolerances and tactile feel, while Optimus suffers from an overall lack of polish in both design and in the materials they used.
For the horrible overprices we pay, we should be able to get much better color matching than this. So not buying this. But you get a like anyway, because you always deserve it.
Yeeeaaahhh, you'd likely have to use that little Headmaster Spike (with the body mold that's based on his exo-suit) to scale somewhat well with any of the recent mainline G1 type Bees. It's annoying how this is supposed to be a widely available figure, yet there's a grand total of *NO STORES* around me that have this thing yet. (Oh, and I don't think that Legacy Animated Bee is made of nylon; the yellow may be a bit translucent, but it still looks decent. Yellow nylon is that nasty looking stuff Magic Square used for their Bumblebee and the torso of their Grimlock, lookin' all faded, pasty, & gross.)
Looks good. Hopefully I won't be tearing my hair out finding one later. I have to many preorders taxing my poor wallet right now that decided to show up rediculously early at once. Thanks hasbro for dropping months worth of preorders all in one month on me. LOL
If I get this guy, my imported Netflix Bee (whom I'm starting to realize I maybe should have kept the box for) is probably gonna be in permanent alt mode should I ever get the space for a display.
I remember the masterpiece bumblebee 2.0 has a wonderful looking car mode but a horrible looking robot mode but with the SS 86 Bumblebee it's the complete opposite for we have a nice looking robot mode but a horrendous car mode.
I'm holding out hope that these guys will be released In a set someday cause I really want them but also I REALLY don't want to buy them Individually, specially because I can't even buy some of them, Cosmos was a physical store exclusive so there's no chance of me getting that one unless It rereleases In a set.
Does anyone else really hate the ball-jointed shoulders on most of the recent SS86 Deluxes? They've been rock solid otherwise, but that specific joint on Perceptor, Brawl, and now Bee looks pretty cheap and out-of-place with the rest of the line, not to mention the vast majority of WFC/Legacy figures. I thought we left ball jointed limbs behind when Prime Wars ended.
That chest piece is too tall. I feel like they made it that way so they could do repaints. Also agree on the paint. I'm not a fan of this one. Thought the goldbug looked better personally.

Gosh, to me that looks like a yellow Cliffjumper more than a Bumblebee. The chest is horrible. There’s always something stupid in the way of getting a perfect figure from Hasbro. Chinese companies don’t give AF and are crushing Hasbro and Takara as far as quality is concerned. They actually listen to what we want. This years line up of Hasbro figures looks like crap, outside of Optimus prime and a few others. You are right about feeling dismayed by the popularity of Netflix soundwave. The figure has knee caps on the side of its cassette player mode, and people are begging for a rerelease…?

Car front is bug but the... roof? canopy? is rather square which feels more like Cliffjumper.

This guy looks Great! Even if the vehicle mode was partially compromised to make the inevitable Cliffjumper release easier. A great release!
Seems like a larger version of the TR legends class figure with better hands and a few more steps to the transformation, pretty neat!

The VW bug alt mode fits goldbug better in my opinion but both great figures anyways

I really like this Bumblebee way more then MP Bumblebee I got. Easier transformation and the backpack looks way better compared to the MP!

I suspect that the limbs are in a different shade because they are cast in a different, more durable and unpaintable plastics for structural reasons.

Cosmos is supposedly going to rerelease sometime soon. As for a set of them, doubtful, unless you count gobots.
