You can argue or have different preferences regarding this Bees looks, but transformation wise? It does put the last parts forming Netflix version in his shadow.
The only thing he really missing is a spare wheel to go on the back of his alt mode I think BB needs to go above OP for his complaints and take it to Alpha Trion
Its going to be, both 86 bee and one prime will be restocked throughout the year CMDstore and BBTS just got a batch of then early, so the main wave of the guys has yet to really hit retail
Got this figure last week, and thanks to you I now know how to transform it. I couldn't figure the instructions out for the life of me. So this morning as I was eating breakfast I thought, "I bet Em made a video on this little guy, maybe I can figure it out with his help." So I open RUclips and search for Studio Series 86 Bumblebee, and your the first person I see.
I love this version of Bee. His transformation is straightforward and not overly complex. I mastered it relatively quickly and I love how the Autobot symbol on the hood folds in when you transform him.
I want this one… mostly because I don’t have the Netflix one… no walmarts in my country so… no exclusives, at least not usually :( I was afraid this one was too small, but if it’s same size as netflix/cliff mold, I’m fine with it. Another plus is that it seems he has no clear plastic, wich I wish they fully went with all releases now… clear plastic should only be inserts :(

I have a $9 version of a similar size from AE that's pretty good but this one might tempt me to upgrade. That one has the hands tilt in so the gun points weird.
Wait... ball joint shoulders... at this price point? Any idea why they did not go with the nested double-hinge anterior/posterior and lateral joint connections they used for the hips or on most shoulders of deluxe and larger figures?
I actually see a little bit of resemblance to the 80s Pretender Bumble Bee..🤔🤷🏼♂️ Yeah i know there's not exactly alot of different ways to make him, but i see it..
He looks great. Better than the Netflix one, and definitely cheaper to get :P Can't wait for the inevitable Cliffjumper, Hubcap, Bug Bite and Bumper to come from him :D

Great review. The botmode looks good, but i think the carmode is just too much of a square. I understand what they were going for, but they took it a step too far IMHO.
I was wondering how the insignia appeared on the front. pretty good engineering there. I thought I was 100 percent good with my netflix Bee, but I may just have to get this one, overpriced as he is for the size, but whatever, thats the world we live in.

No it purposely looks like that when they showed off this figure in a livestream they explicitly said it’s based on the original Penny Racer Beetle look not a realistic Beetle look that’s why it looks that way
I think he looks great but I’ll likely skip him. He is tiny but as we learned with Earthrise Cliffjumper, the extra parts, paint, and plastic went to the rest of the wave. I feel this aspect of design and manufacturing is ignored too often.
I just found him today. Never did find beachcomber or gears. I don’t even think the Walmarts and targets around me ever got them. About a month ago I found a random single Snarl at my Target. Didn’t Snarl come out about a year ago, and Target is just getting them in stock now? The distribution on these thing is really bad. I’ve been going to the stores looking for Swoop but there’s been no sign of him yet. It’ll be 6 months or more before he shows up if he’s like the rest of them. There’s a lot of Braun’s on the shelves, but gears is impossible to find. It doesn’t make any sense.
Bumblebee has Always been my number One Top Favorite transformer. Bumblebee was the vary First original transformer I ever Latched onto when I was a small kid !!! Bumblebee Always came First !!! I would collect his toys before any of the other ones. He has always been and always will be my first favorite transformer. Love him !!!

It's hard to get a clear look at it since it's only at the end, but it doesn't have the weird penny-racer proportions at all. I realise that's being pedantic but...Hasbro sure likes to break their own rules with these things.

I like how close they got it. I wish the original looked that good. That big ol' bloosh took a lot out of little Bee ha ha.

I can already see a repaint of this in a brighter yellow with gray instead of black and blue windows

While the spare wheel / engine bump is there, i just think it could have been a bit more prominent. Or maybe a bit to add on .
