That shoulder tilt to give the wings their "swoop" is a really nice touch. Good job, Hasbro. If the chest tabbed in better in bot mode, it'd be perfect.
He looks really good, I can't wait for BBTS to get him in stock. And as soon as I get Swoop here in the mail, Hasbro will announce G1-toy-accurate redecos for all of the Dinobots, thus making me double (or quadruple in Grimlock's case) dip on all of them, which I will do because I have a weakness and it's G1-toy/Marvel comic redecos of modern figures.
He does look good. I do agree that they could’ve filled the hallow parts since he’s smaller/shorter than the other Dinobots. Two other things that annoy me a little are that they could’ve also included the swords for Slag and Sludge. The last thing is they managed to used gold paint for all Dinos, except that Snarl received that awful yellow for his head and limbs. Still a great set of Dinobots.

Hi emgo, you’re my go to reviewer and have been since I started collecting in 2019. I think one thing you and all other reviewers should begin doing for all screen based designs is adding reference images for figures. I think now especially since robot modes are a priority for figure designs, a reference to the screen would be super helpful for us collectors to gauge the value of a figure to us. If it’s not too much work for you
This version of Swoop give more than a passing resemblance to a Decepticon seeker in robot mode. If you tab his cannons into hi arms he rally does look like a seeker
Now that the team is complete and the molds are set, some genius out there has to go and design an upgrade kit which will combine all 5 figures in 86 Volcanicus. Print all the parts you need like new connector pieces, joints, and a head, but this MUST happen.
2 complaints, 1, the bot toes are tiny and 2, that chest not being able to tab in anywhere in bot mode. Otherwise this is one great figure! I can't wait to get him. He was my favorite dinobot growing up!
About the chest not locking, Mine locks in place quite nicely. Not sure if it's a trick or it just needs a slight bit of force to get it to stay in place.

I’ve pretty much given up on collecting these transformers. I dunno what the problem is, but it’s pretty much impossible to find them in stores anymore. I just found snarl this past Saturday at target. The only one they had. Hasn’t he been out and gone for about a year? And he just randomly shows up. I’ll get swoop if I see him but I’m not going out of my way and searching everyday. It’s a waste of time. I could buy them online but that takes the fun out of getting them. Finding them in stores brings back the memories of the excitement of finding them when I was a kid. That’s kind of the point of collecting them. I’ve managed to find more of them than I had when I was a kid. But we missed an entire wave or 2 around here. Sunstreaker and trailbreaker waves were nowhere to be found around me. That’s when it started getting hard to find them. I still can’t figure how a random snarl showed up. I can’t find any sign of gears. The shelves are full of figures no one wants. It makes no sense.

I unfortunately don't have 86 grimlock I have the shattered glass version and as I call it the g2 version aka Miami vice grimlock. And I have all the other dinobots. I may get the reissue 86 grimlock when it comes out in 2025 only if I don't have anything coming in that month

Great video as always,but Embgo did you ever do Nonnef's Paddles conversion set on a extra Sludge? He's a pretty awesome figure that Toyhax made decals for it. Debating on getting this guy or not. Got the fansproject Volar awhile back n I think he fits pretty well in with the rest of the dinobots. Little bit shorter but that said he looks wicked good and he's a based on a smaller dino as is. But then, the SS86 completionist in me screams GET HIM! Only one I dont have is magnus n probably never will cuz I ain't paying $180 for it.

They will, according to leaks, will rerelease Grimlock next year
It's not a leak. They said on the Hasbro Pulse channel that Grimlock will get re-released like next year I think.
