I would love to get big Convoy in a future wave of figures and I would be able to make the convoy council with Optimus Prime and Optimus Primal

I got my copy about two weeks ago and with no reviews up, I had to figure out how to transform him using the instructions and I'm not exactly impressed by the instructions at times because they aren't clear as they could be!!

I'm honestly surprised how amazing this figure turned out. I was expecting either horrible belly kibble or really bad dinosaur proportions, but Hasbro did an incredible job with the transformation engineering

I've had a soft spot for Magmatron ever since they brought the toy over as an extension of Beast Machines. Sadly, one of the thumbs on the original broke due to how the sword (which doubled as a rifle) had to go into the hand - which, thank Primus, it looks like they redesigned.
They redesigned a LOT for the Legacy version, and as wild as the first version was, the new design is even crazier. And I love it - I've had a preorder in since soon after they announced it, and I'm looking forward to getting mine in-hand.

It's actually more of Keh-tsal-ko-at-lus. Its name references a Nahuatl (the people of the Aztec empire) god, Quetzalcoatl.
It's pronounced "Interior Crocodile Alligator".

This probably the best dinosaur mode ever from Transformers toy and finally correct wrist position.
While you were disassembling Magmatron into his three dinosaur pieces. Johnny 5 was in my head saying "Disassemble!! NO Disassemble!!!"

This set reminds me of that episode of "Challenge of the Gobots" called "Destroy All Guardians" when Japanese scientists in Tokyo brought 3 prehistoric monsters a Tyrannosaurus Rex, a Pteranodon, and an Elasmosaurus to life which Cy-Kill captures to mutate them into kaijus, put them under mind control and set them loose to destroy Earth which Leader-1 and the Guardians fight to stop them.

"Gigantosaurus" lmao. Its Giginotosaurus. Which would actually have had a larger skull but smaller teeth than ol' T-rex. He failed to pronounce all 3... and likely does not know what they are.

Due to the components to make three, I believe that each bot would be a deluxe, voyager, and leader that make a commander class
Prowl and Ram Horn as Deluxe
Silverbolt and Cicadacon as Voyagers
Ironhide and Sea Clamp as Leaders
@@MarcosVelasquez-Sanchez I feel like Cicadacon fits being the Deluxe more since he does basically the same thing as Prowl, fold into himself to form the core of the torso and head while Ramhorn needs more complexity due to forming both of the arms of Tripredacus, heck he could be the Leader considering all Sea Clamp does to form the legs of Tripredacus is do a hand stand basically while Ramhorn fits with Ironhide with how they're the most complex of their combiner teams.

My headcanon is that Landsaurus is Beast Wars Megatron and Airsaurus is Terrasour. They just couldn't combine into Magmatron without Seasaurus, so nobody made mention of it.
Beat me to it. 'cause that how I plan to add him in my collection as well. Except seasaurus will be a new character named seaspray.
DNA is gonna make a killer kit for this guy. A new sword, better shield mounting system, seasaur neck gap fillers, and SOMETHING to help with those robot mode hip pieces would be nice.
He's by far the favorite one of mine this year, I have two, one to play with and the other kept in the box
The Skysaurus's configuration in the combined Magmasaurus form looks like it's prepared for the wrong things...
This guy's massive size and perfect face really make me sad that TM2 Megatron didn't get the same.
Man, this is the figure I've been excited for the most out of all of the current Legacy stuff! I was so worried when it was first revealed that the Magmasaurus mode wasn't going to be included, but I'm glad they did include it. I know what you're thinking, I'm weird for liking the half-baked alternate modes that the toy designers cook up, but I find there's a certain charm to these things lol.
The Magmasaurus mode was also treated as Magmatron's primary alternate mode in most of the Japanese media he originated from, while the individual beast modes were treated as secondary alternate modes, for whatever reason. From all of the cartoon model sheets I can find online, it appears that they didn't even bother fully designing his other three beast modes for the cartoon. They just gave those modes some basic lineart and called it a day. Whatever the reasoning was behind that decision, he spent the majority of the cartoon in robot mode and only transformed for certain battles.
The magmasaurus kinda looks like Skysaurus passed out while using the other two dinos as a couch.

Those dino modes were some real transforming witchcraft. I remember this guy back from comics from around the time the first bay movie came out so the nostalgia is really hitting me in the wallet here
Emgo, I just wanna say that 2 months later and this has really helps my (specifically with the sword going into Landsaurus(Gigantosaurus) because the Instructions make no sense. Thank you.

Oh I can’t wait to get mine I own the Neo Magmatron and as soon as I heard that we’re getting a Legacy Magmatron I knew I have to get my hands on it and add to my Legacy collection I absolutely love all the forms of Magmatron and I like Magmatrons Magmasaur form. Magmatron is my absolute personal favourite of all the Predacons.
The last combined mode kinda reminds me of The Chimera with the 3 heads a lion head on the front, the goat head on the back, and a snake head on the end of its tail

This is definitely in the "gods I wish I could justify this but I have things I actually need for the house" bucket.
If I had to guess, they opted to not use a ball joint due to the weight of his “ears”. They would have really worn it out sadly
I would’ve liked to see comparisons to other commander classes like Menasor, Sky Lynx, Jetfire, Ultra Magnus, and Rodimus
I like to cut time where I can when I know vids are gonna run long. I gave his measurements so you can extrapolate from that how it’ll scale with whatever you want,
I cant wait to see what upgrades companies come up for this one. All I know I I don’t collect mainline stuff but this makes me wanna start again especially since this shows up that magnaboss and tripredicus is possible.

Fantastic figure. the two things i dont like about it is the hip skirts. they get in the way of his arm articulation =( and the port location on his arm for his shield being on the back of his arm instead of the side. Great review!!
Well, I thought I gave up the preorder....ended up getting him. I actually like him. Didn't think I was going to like the beast mode but I had to mess around with a bit. The instructions could be better to show what clips where. The pterodactyl actually plugs into the back. Overall, the beast mode is pretty squozen. Just mess around a bit.

So who else is hoping that hasbro will release the other members of magmatron’s team. If they do they will be connecting with another group of the fandom that doesn’t get as much attention as they deserve. Because their was so many good characters in that show that would benefit from updated legacy figures.
