As a Transformers fan, I really don't know much about this character besides the fact that he was created for the Japanese Beast Wars series. So watching and listening to this video was great. In addition to that I did not know that this character was actually used in the IDW Transformers Beast Wars comic, where many fans got to explore his origins and discover how bad this character can be. Well I can thank Beast Wars Transformers The Unofficial Guide by J. E. Alvarez. For introducing me to Japanese Beast Wars characters and toys. Especially Magmatron the original toy is brilliant. The way it comes together to form the figure is amazing . My personal favourite is the missile storage. Which can be found in what becomes the shield. The relationship between Magmatron and Big Convoy and the Predacon's tendency to let troops do the hard work reminds me of the Decepticon Deathsaurus from Transformers Victory, who has a similar sort of personality and only getting involved personally when fighting his Autobot rival Star Saber. Oh, the Dweller from that Collector's Club story makes another appearance, in Transformers Earthspark, hiding in an alien underground network on Earth and forcing the Terrans and Seekers to work together to fight against it.
In my school school game, Magmatron played a pretty big role where he is the Guardian of disembodied spirit entity known as Giya, who is the Daughter of Unicron and had a boss fight against Lucifer Morningstar but the battle was haulted by GHOST taking Giya spirit and experimented on which involves a boss fight as Magmatron against the Original prototype of Decepticon Bio powerhouse Goalius, called Novamos and he ended up living his days on earth taking Fluttershy place as the new Animal center care taker
Gotta say Magmatron sounds like a real badass. Hes got a super unique design, he is a highly competent fighter and honorable in methods and tatics, and is smart enough to know that guys lile Unicron are not to be triffled with. Hope we get to see more of him in some form of media in the future.

I enjoy learning about new Transformers characters especially in this case since I’ve never watched Beast Wars second or Beast Wars Neo, the only Beast Wars stuff I’ve watched was the orignal 90’s cartoon and the awful sequel series.
I just got my Magnatron as a late Christmas gift. I wanted the Beast Wars Neo toys since I was a child, but I don't think they were available in North America. I never thought I would even get a Magmatron, but here I am, as a grown ass man.
This was such a cool episode!❤ Thanks Chris for making this.💯 Interestingly enough, I do remember seeing a HASBRO release of this character in stores years ago. However, I don't remember it being for BEAST MACHINES but instead I thought it was released for BEAST WARS. I remember sometime after the TV series BEAST WARS had ended that Hasbro was still releasing figures for it. And I remember being very confused because they were figures that were NEVER shown in the TV series. Like for example the character MAGNABOSS. That was a triple character released by Hasbro for the BEAST WARS series that I had no idea who that was. It wasn't until I started watching your videos Chris that I learned there was MORE BEAST WARS series and comics released after the 1st one in Japan. And in that Era there when I seen the Magnaboss character in stores is when I thought I remembered seeing the Magmatron character also released for BEAST Wars because it was both leader characters for the Maximals and Predacons respectively. And then I remember shortly after seeing those characters in stores, they were clearanced out and no more BEAST WARS characters were seen again.
In classic Beast Machines fashion, it managed to ruin Magmatron by getting him eaten by a worm. I do like the consistency that Magmatron's heroic side comes out whenever Angolmois is involved.
for the next obscure characters month, how about taking a look at some of the Collaborative Transformers X figures? Ectotron, Gigawatt, the newest Ninja turtles collaborative figure coming later this year and so forth. I'd love to see your take on those.
Magmatron is consider a Fuzor since he wasn't comprised of multiple beast into one being and his was the most unique one since unlike other who using two animals, Magmatron instead was 3 Animal this making him possibly the strongest Fuzor that surpassing Silverbolt

I enjoy learning about new Transformers characters especially in this case since I’ve never watched Beast Wars second or Beast Wars Neo, the only Beast Wars stuff I’ve watched was the orignal 90’s cartoon and the awful sequel series.
Woooo! Mine just arrived from BBTS! Excellent video as always!!
I just got my Magnatron as a late Christmas gift. I wanted the Beast Wars Neo toys since I was a child, but I don't think they were available in North America. I never thought I would even get a Magmatron, but here I am, as a grown ass man.
"Cut off one head two more shall take its place" to qoute HYDRA in Marvel.
I never knew about this character until now, but as a Beast Wars fan I would have LOVED this toy as a kid.
One the best antiheroes of the franchises ever
In classic Beast Machines fashion, it managed to ruin Magmatron by getting him eaten by a worm.
I do like the consistency that Magmatron's heroic side comes out whenever Angolmois is involved.
I'm definitely looking forward to that, as well as learning more about Magmatron now thanks to you showing me more about him.
Magmatron is the character that got me into reading Transformers comics
for the next obscure characters month, how about taking a look at some of the Collaborative Transformers X figures? Ectotron, Gigawatt, the newest Ninja turtles collaborative figure coming later this year and so forth. I'd love to see your take on those.
Just goes to show that any Transformer character can make it big, no matter how much time has passed since they were last notable.
Magmatron is consider a Fuzor since he wasn't comprised of multiple beast into one being and his was the most unique one since unlike other who using two animals, Magmatron instead was 3 Animal this making him possibly the strongest Fuzor that surpassing Silverbolt
He reminds me of that other Beast Wars gestalt that was an elephant, lion and eagle.
@@originaluddite you mean Magnaboss and Tripredacus but those have robot and animal form while Magmatron only had animal form for each individual dinos and didn't have robot form.
@@joejunior5991 of course, I forgot that distinction, with Magmatron as a collection of modules rather than completely independent Transformers.
@@originaluddite also P.S : Fuzor like any Maximals and Predacons had either Animal or Robot Mode and Magmatron had Robot Mode and Chimera Form for the Animal Form if you the Chimera as his Animal Form just like a Fuzor
@@joejunior5991 I just like that we get to use the word "chimera".
I’m so excited for the new magnatron toy! It makes me want him to appear in more media
I'm absolutely not immune to the nostalgia of The Gathering, something about that book really worked for me and its the sole reason I'm interested in Magmatron's new toy
I love ❤ this Prehistoric Predacon Magmatron & his 3 Dinosaur 🦖🦕 forms if I were a transformer I would be like how but with Tyrannosaurus 🦖,Pteranodon and Plesiosaurus
Just got my figure today. Very well made and loving it.
I’m definitely gonna get his new toy as soon as it’s released.
"Unleash."
"The."
_"Beast Wars!"_
I’m so glad he is getting a new figure and I hope we get Big Convoy as well as BW Galvatron sometime down the road.
Magmasaurus gives me Kaizer Gkidora/Monster X or Final fantasy Ultima Weapon vibes
Can you make a video of how Unicron and Primus are related if the Creator is different. Unicron was created by Primacron, while primus created by the one.
Thanks for the birthday vid!
I first learned about this character in the first IDW comic series. I bought it at a book fair in school and never knew there was a sequel.
Magmatron is one of my favorite figures of the beast era
I'm wondering if he's going to come assembled in the box or if we need to put him together from all three Dinos.
Can’t wait for Big Convoy
now we need Magnaboss as a legacy figure...SHUDDERS AT GPS
Magmatron: what is my purpose?
Creator: you are the bad guy until Unicron shows up and then you give your life to save everyone else.
“Magmatron Inuk Chuk!!”
That’s what I imagine magmatron saying to activate “Dino-centipede” mode.
Gran video como siempre 🤩🤗😎!!!
Magmatron looks insane
Even though I've never seen "BW Neo," I've always been fascinated by Big Convoy and Magmatron if only for their respective beast modes. The latter is especially cool for combining three prehistoric reptiles into a single figure.
So that how Magmatron was inspired, I thought he was Only based on Megatron But I do love Magmatron and I like that he was after his previous ancients
