So I've been told the dinosaur chest can spin around and the arms can be in the correct spot on the Giga. And I didn't know because mine is so tight I didn't realize it spun. But it spins. Now you know. Also the long necked thing is an elasmosaurus, part of the plesiosaur family. I say elasmosaurus in the video several times but apparently some people have missed the beginning of me saying that word and are correcting me......I said the thing
As an owner of a Magmatron that's what actually made me go "WTF? You can rotate that." I was about to edit my comment to add that but it seems you already figured it out.
TBF, from a distance the new one looks SO MUCH like the old one. I even dismissed a video on the new one from the thumbnail being a pic from the reveal stream.
Also, the elasmosaurus is actually more accurate in the old toy as the neck is that long and skinny. Also, the Quetzlcoatlus is smaller than it should be in both toys as the Quetzl is the largest Pterasaur to ever lived and is the size of a giraffe.
Even in Japan this thing is super expensive. Mine was like 100$ and was missing two missiles. I wonder how the new one will affect prices. Also, you had the giganotosaurus mistransformed. You should be able to slide the robot mode chest around so that the dino hands are closer to the head.
As someone who's become more of a one and done collector in recent years This is probably the only time I'd get an updated figure I don't have. Commander class feels perfect for a toy comprised of three dinosaur era toys. The design is fun colorful, and menacing and isn't compromised by additional individual bot modes unlike the Magnaboss, which though neat is layered in kibble, and loose connections. While I'm not in a rush to preorder this one definitely on the list for next year.
I know they eventually released this guy during Beast Machines, but how good would it have been if this was part of the American Beast Wars line, I mean he basically is a Fuzor except he can separate, which would make sense as a gimmick for Super-class baddie to go alongside Optimal Optimus. We had Transmetal 2 bots, this guy to me is a Fuzor 2.
I got a secondhand Magmatron from a garage sale in pretty rough shape. Three of Seasaur’s flippers were missing, and Skysaur was completely MIA. And I STILL love it. So with me having that much fun with an incomplete copy, the Legacy version was a day 1 preorder for me.
Hahah you got the names right…but your pronunciation of one made me do a double take. I thought at first you were doing a bit, lol. Elasmosaurus isn’t “El Mosasaurus” its pronounced “Eh-las-mo-saurus”. Though, as a paleo nerd, I’m very happy you pointed out that two of them aren’t actual dinosaurs. As always love your vids!
I love the slowly falling head during dino-orgy mode. the pure depression of a mode existing exclusivelly to have everything in one package for storage, marketed as a play feature this design is really, really good. honestly, I feared that a figure like this could only come out of haslab. I'm actually tempted to grab it even if I've nothing in the intention to grab stuff from that side of the transformers family
Came back again to watch the review after Jobbythehong referenced you! You two and emgo are my main Tf reviewers I watch, emgo for actually learning the transformation and hiccups, you and jobby for the entertaining reviews and the poses!
Magmatron has always been like one if my favs from the JP continuity, and I've always been fond of his toy(even though I don't own the orginal), but I'm super excited and happy to get the legacy figure.
Magmatron has a lot of cool things. Hes the only leader that HAS to combine to have any type of robot mode, has the cool deviation of the Megatron name(They need to reuse Gigatron), and is actually liked by his troops.
The claws on his chest come from t-wrecks. They put him in the anime to explain that. T-wrecks gets killed in a flashback and he takes them as a trophy I love spreading misinformation Unless its somehow true Its not
Magmatron is my favorite Transformers character ever, I'm so happy he's getting a new toy after 25 years, the old one is a lot of fun, I got mine complete almost 10 years ago for $75, it's crazy how expensive he's gotten since then, I'm glad more people are becoming aware of my favorite guy
something thats always bugged me about Magmatron is the Quetzalcoatlus. simply because they absolutely sont look like that. the head is the wrong shape and size and literally all hos proportions are fucked. to me, it looks more like a Cearadactylus tbh oh also, its Elasmosaurus, not Elmosasaurus lol. close enough tho so who really cares
I cannot wait to see what they do with Big Convoy! How they can make him less of a shell former, with better back kibble and what exactly they will name him
I would love to see a dinobot elasomosaurus. Sea dinosaurs are underrepresented in media, and this is the only transformer to have a sea dinosaur, but I would also like to see a sea dinosaur as a solo transformer.
I am so happy, that we get a new magmatron, but am I the only one, who’s hoping for a beast wars II Galvatron? After all, we already have Lio Convoy and an upcoming Tasmania Kid.
I was hoping that you would buy this figure and review it. I even asked you about it on Twitter/x. By the way, you had the chest for the Giganotosaurus upside down.
Yo! Longtime lurker here. Love your videos! You’re a real one! I got this figure after watching your video!! Could you help a brother out and get me a few clean images of landsaurus’ sword next to a ruler? Mine didn’t come with a sword, but I know how to cad and got 3d printers! Just need reference images!
You ever hear of a plesiosaur? It’s like a mosasaur, but NECK. Edit: TFwiki specifically says Elasmosaurus. Sounds like he’s saying mosasaurus in the video.
The Mosasaur (thought it was called a Plesiosaurus) is amazing!! Hope I can find one with a neck that works. Is there a Transformer who's alt mode is a Mosasaurus? Like the crocodile with fins and a tail like a fish? When is the new Magmatron going to be available? And where?🤙
SOOOO glad I didn't re-buy this figure recently. Figured Hasbro would never redo him, so I started to get the eBay itch. But now that I've seen the Legends version, I have little need for the inferior original.
I still find it strange that we got versions of this and big in the united states. Magama was released in beast machines as a maximal lol while big was recolored into nemesis prime.
For me personally it fully comes down to how good the gigantosaurus mode is, really hope he isn’t a brick and is just as articulated as kingdom megatron. Combined mode I think will look more appealing in different poses but the pteranodon and plesiosaur look fantastic.
I was honestly thinking of skipping both to save money, but imagine I had no attachment to either character and just got it based on how cool it is. I would choose Magmatron. He is pretty unique for a Decepticon/Predacon leader and a Transformer in general!
@@SlagSlugtheDinobot I just mostly wanted at least one commander class in my collection And most people say armada prime is the best and sadly most other commanders are very expensive now. But I agree magmatron is unique and cool looking
@@the_painting_knight3961Agreed, Commanders and Transformers in general are pretty pricey 😢, dunno why Hasbro keeps raising the prices oof makes it tough for us TF fans. Will wait for PrimevsPrime review to see him more closely.
As a cartoon character, he has such a good design. As a toy? Yeah no, it doesn't work. It didn't work then, and from the looks of it it doesn't work now. Doesn't mean I'm still excited
I keep hearing that skysaurus is too small as it is massive in real life. For the most part I’ve never taken beast mode sizes seriously, like if grimlock and bw Megatron were the actual size they would be a lot smaller than the other characters. Yea i know that in BW they were a lot smaller but i prefer how they scale with the toys.

Quetzalcoatlus is actually the tallest animal to fly, Hatzegopteryx is heavier and therefore larger than Quetzalcoatlus.
I think you can spin the combined chest around on the blue boi
I was thinking the same thing.
i have this toy and yes, its supposed to be turned around
And the legs split so that it rests right over them too
Wonder what new style they'll do next? They did G1, Armada, and now Beast Wars. Imagine we get an Animated styled Commander Class.
That would be animated blackout in my opinion. He would suit well
Literally half of Team Char could be Commanders
Commander class Safeguard plz.
Or they could go RID 2001 and do Ultra Magnus, Railracer or Fire Convoy...

Iirc the Dino Orgy mode actually looked pretty badass in the show. It is sort of this combination of a dragon and a chimera.

The original seasaurus mode is more accurate to the elasmosaurus. It has an incredibly long neck. Better to keep his head held high 🤭

Would you ever do a Video on Commander Sky Lynx? One of my fav commanders (and only...for now)
Magmatron gives hope that we could see other 3-4 bot combiners at the commander size like the other beast wars combiners
I remembered seeing this guy in the comics
There are oli 2 combiners in the beast wars toyline that have every component turn in to a robot
I’m gonna so grab this guy when he comes out maybe pre order him
in the chimera mode you have to flip the pterosaur head forward so that mode has 3 heads like a chimera and its an elasmosaurus not elmosaur

A relatively uncommon but obtainable Neo to find in Korea.
Terrersaur called, he wanted his Dino mode back. Nah but this new one looks cool even tho I have no idea who the character even is
