Does it replace the Netflix one? Definitely not. Does it provide a great alternative to the Netflix one? Definitely yes. Personally, even despite all the flaws like a flat hood in alt mode, I like this chibi-er looking Bumblebee a lot more than the Netflix one, mostly because I am exhausted of the underwhelming ER Cliffjumper mold. I have Selects Bug Bite, SS86 Cliffjumper, Selects Hubcap, and Legacy Goldbug, and I wasn't looking forward to getting more of the same mold. I am glad 86 Bee is something new, and is basically a downscaled version of the ver. 2.0 MP.
Wait... ball joint shoulders... at this price point? Any idea why they did not go with the nested double-hinge anterior/posterior and lateral joint connections they used for the hips or on most shoulders of deluxe and larger figures?
Being such a throwback to the original toy, I'd rather see the original "battlemask" face. (It was the same with the Masterpiece Skids. Being so heavily based on the original toy, I wish they included that og face, (or at least included an alternate head.)
@@dkkanofkash8798 A 3rd party would be a cool option too. The cartoon head is great, don't' get me wrong, they just went in so far already with toy centric elements that the head would have been that extra mile for me. I was one of many who didn't have access to the cartoon growing up so we only knew TF through the toys, so I tend to be a sucker for those little nods lol. 🤣

I much prefer the look of this one, as it resonates with the original G1 design a lot more, and frankly I never liked Bumblebee being a beetle outside of the 2018 movie.

Thats where this one really shines is the transformation. its easy and fun, with some innovative surprises.
This would bee the definitive bee for me. The Netflix one was nice but it was very orange. Also prefer the blaster that comes with ss86.
Yes the SS86 gun is really nice. Far batter than the one that came with the Centurion Droid Set.

Well he is small, that may have something to do with the joints used I think.

lol no, maybe we could get the mask as an upgrade kit from a third party source, but I'm happy with the head that we got.
