OMG...George Michael killed it. What a performance. Love Queen, Brian May on guitar and Roger Taylor is a beast on the drums. R.I.P. Freddie Mercury and George Michael Philly 11-24-2024 ❤❤💃💃💃💃💃
Freddie would have loved George Michael singing his favorite song 🌷 And I do too… as it’s my favorite Freddie Mercury song also… George did it ‘ just right’ 💛💛💛
That was 72,000 fans singing and clapping in unison - absolutely EPIC. George is by far one of the greatest male singers of our generation. It is TRAGIC that we lost him this early.
George Michael was incredible!!! Freddie would have been very proud of him. RIP Freddie Mercury and George Michael you were both wonderful singers!!!❤❤❤😂
Check the rehearsal. Even that was unbelievable perfect. And watch David Bowie and Seal standing in the background, staring as if they just saw an alien sing.🤣
@@SaeedReacts. Don't let the sun... with Elton John, I guess that would be a good one for a reaction. If you have some time on your own, search a quit corner and try "Listen without Prejudice"....."Praying for Time" is my favorite, but take your time, it will be a long journey to discover all of George Michael, and I'm sure, he will surprise you. 👍
Dude, you really should hear George Michael sing Elton John's song, and with Elton coming in for a duet, near the end!... "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me". Unbelievably gorgeous, I promise you.
Yesssss .. Yesssss .. Yesssss !!!!!!!!!!!! I am so glad you made it here to this collaboration. THIS is my favorite cover of a Queen song .. ever .. just ever !!! This entire tribute concert is worth your attention .. but this is the gem. Love it Saeed .. luvvvvvvvvvvv itttttttttt !!!! 💗
This is the only Queen song recorded by Freddie that I will listen to sung by someone else. George loved and respected Freddie. He's the only one who can do him any justice. ✌💖😀
I saw George Michael live in 1999 in Wembley Stadium and his voice absolutely shook the stadium. One of the greatest voices and performers I've ever seen and heard.
I was there that night and had never really been a fan of George Michael. But he was the best thing on the night and showed what a great singer he was.
God bless you George what a voice Freddy would have been so happy with that concert that used made for him rest in peace and I know you're singing with Freddy
I can recommend you react to George singing Brother Can You Spare a Dime at the Pavarotti and Friends concert in 2000. A completely different genre - a jazzy number - but he is amazing! You won’t be disappointed.
Always loved this Performance. Love George and Queen. R.I.P Freddy. You should check out George One More Try video, Faith video and his duet with Aretha Franklin video I Knew You Were Waiting and his duet video with Elton John of Elton's song, Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me
I have been waiting for this reaction for a long time so THANK YOU Saeed!! GM said this was his best performance and the one he was most proud of ♥ and not a cell phone in sight ♥♥♥
Saw the whole concert and GM hit it out of the stadium that night. And Queen knew it would happen cause they had already put plans in motion to release it. This and the iconic performance of Elton John and Axl Rose on Bohemian Rhapsody were the stand out moments that night. The latter one was especially iconic cause Rose had made some homophonic remarks in the months leading up to that moment.
Ohhhhhh, one of my favorite songs, love the tribute of George Michael ❤❤❤ don't let the sun go down on me was awesome by him. Great reaction as always ❤❤❤
I've watched it so many times and I'm always amazed. George was just incredible, check out more of him: "Live at Concert of Hope 1993", "A Different Corner (Live On BBC Parkinson Show)", "MTV Unplugged 1996" Also check out Guns n Roses Freddie Mercury tribute 1992 just great
I can’t watch this without getting a lump in my throat- but I couldn’t pass up seeing you react to it. The first time I saw Queen live they were actually the support band for Mott the Hoople in Memphis, April 20, 1974. I’d not have believed that 18 years later to the day, on April 20, 1992, I’d be watching a tribute concert for Freddie after his death. Truly amazing what he & Queen did in such a relatively short period of time. RIP Freddie and George. Thanks for this one Saeed.
I just realized it was 33 years ago he passed away. I was only 4 years old so i dont really remember it, but i do remember hearing his name many times as a child. Later i discovered his amazing voice and watched some interviews with him and was really drawn to him. Amazing you got to see them. I can't imagine what the fans must have felt when he passed away. Thanks for watching.
Yep, 33 years ago yesterday, 11/24. Most of us original Queen fans remember where we were when his death was announced- similar to the assassinations of JFK, RFK, MLK, and 9/11. Seared in our memory. Freddie seemed like he’d live forever to us.
George was phenomenal and especially his boyfriend (Fellepa) had been diagnosed with AIDS only a few months before. He put everything into this and to this day is the only non Freddie version I can listen to . Addition - Fellepa died in 1993 a year after the tribute
I remember seeing this tribute concert and being so moved by this glorious performance by George Michael and Queen. Until I heard Dimash a few years ago, I never thought I would enjoy another singer cover Queen as much as this performance. I still love it so much ❤
George did the damn thang lol, Wembley Stadium completely surrendered to his talent, kinda like Freddie. He totally stole the show at this tribute, i heard they even asked him to join the band afterwards.
There's a documentary about how this concert came about which is well worth watching. The legends that came together to pay tribute and support a cause that, at the time, was controversial.
Shows what talent George had, on the rehearsal both Seal and David Bowie applauding George. Apparently he was asked to join Queen but turned them down.
Another great reaction, Saeed, thank you for that. By the way, Freddie had HIV, George's boyfriend had HIV too. Just a few hours before the concert, Anselmo Feleppa called Michael to tell him that his situation had become terminal. He died about 3 months later.
Watch Adam Lambert with queen singing 'theres a time for us' (i think the isle of wight outdoor concert) after the massacre in the US at a gay nightclub where people died, even brian May and roger said that was the most haunting performance Adam had done on the whole tour ever, like his voice went to another stratosphere and the like 300,000 crowd were in awe. And It was definitely an emotional performance that Freddy would have been inspired by.
I wonder if George had taken Queen's invite to replace Freddie, if he'd still be alive today. So sad. Would of been tough to follow-up that performance that night. ❤
George Michael is a highly successful artist in his own right and he was very close friends with Freddy so he could never have replaced him in queen and George's partner died of AIDS not long after Freddy died so he was grieving the love of his life so definitely wasn't going to go join queen. We're lucky that queen found Adam Lambert so the world got to experience the amazing music and legacy of Freddy, and I don't think anyone other than Adam Lambert can sing every song as they don't have the vocal range, even George said in his performance of Somebody to Love, he didn't hit the highest note that Freddy performed as live tv with the world watching he wasn't confident that he could do it justice and he wanted a perfect performance for Freddy, and he insisted that the choir and band rehearsed for 7days until he and Brian and Roger were satisfied. George went to all the other artists rehearsals and they said he stood at the side watching the rehearsals and sang every word of every song. George's rehearsal performance is mind-blowing. David Bowie and Seal watching from the sides. Other artists did a performance at rehearsal studios on one day and left. George booked 7days to make it perfect. Brian May said, Nobody else could have sung that song and got the whole Wembley stadium crowd participating like Freddy was on stage performing. Brian said after George got the crowd to sing 'looooovvve' back, it felt for a minute that Freddy was there as that's how the crowd reacted when Freddy performed, it was chilling but humbling. George Michael was exceptional, especially given he was about to lose the love of his life to the same disease as Freddy and he went out and performed like that to honour his friend Freddy and queen. What a professional! We miss them both but I guarantee they are hanging out in the music theatre singing with the angels 🙏
George really did Freddy proud. Thanks for sharing this. I found your channel looking for reactions to Aesop Rock's Aggressive Steven. Really love how you connected with that one. I would love love love to share Landmines by Rishloo with you. Andrew has been compared to Freddie Murcury and the song really triumphs over a relevant struggle of our day: moving past personal perspectives to find meaning and connection.
I actually went through ur play list ..coz I like ya but my god I only knew 1 r 2 ..d 1s I did know were not there best hits like dis 1 ...listen 2 Queen on there own ..he sang wit Elton John...cool song ...not dis tho ?
PERFECTION!!!!! George Michael was the greatest. Gone way too soon.

George Michael is the only singer who could have done justice to Freddie's version.
AMEN
One of those legendary moments when a live performance goes to the next level and beyond. Freddie would have been proud.
Freddie would have loved George Michael singing his favorite song 🌷 And I do too… as it’s my favorite Freddie Mercury song also… George did it ‘ just right’ 💛💛💛
This is the only and ultimate cover for me. No one could replace Freddie but George didn’t even try - he just made it his own. Absolutely stunning 😍
i miss george michael...what a singer!!!
No question! And a great person. Was very generous to charities and homeless individuals
That was 72,000 fans singing and clapping in unison - absolutely EPIC. George is by far one of the greatest male singers of our generation. It is TRAGIC that we lost him this early.
Our George knew exactly how to work the stage and the audience, he always gave 100% 💜
Amazing George Michael.❤️❤️❤️
George Michael was a fabulous performer. Electric on stage. Both of them gone too soon.
George Michael was incredible!!! Freddie would have been very proud of him. RIP Freddie Mercury and George Michael you were both wonderful singers!!!❤❤❤😂
I'd never seen this before - what a fantastic performance! George Michael was a great singer.
Check the rehearsal. Even that was unbelievable perfect. And watch David Bowie and Seal standing in the background, staring as if they just saw an alien sing.🤣
Spine tingling. Superb . 💔 🕊️
I clicked so fast! George was an amazing but underrated singer (in my opinion) ❤
I always heard about him here in Belgium when i was growing up, but only know a few songs by him. Definitely want to check out more.

I remember watching this concert on tv when it happened, and George nailed this!
And if you watch to rehearsel of this, you can also spot an amazed David Bowie obseving George on stage ❤️
The rehearsal is epic, George insisted he rehearsal with the band 7days - perfection for Freddie

Totally agree - me too. I saw him in 1991 and he was amazing. Couldn’t believe the quality and power of his voice. The best ever for me.
