@@kamrynsikes i've experienced sleeplessness of 4 days and i can say it has bothered me ever since how your mind can play that kind of tricks on you. It was back in 2016, i was heavily addicted to csgo and i spent most of my free time playing it. One time i stayed 4 days in a row playing it. No powernaps, just the power of energy drinks, coffee and occasional smoke breaks. Days 1 and 2 were like you would expect from a sleep deprived person, foggy thinking, slow reactions, sweating. Day 3 brought hallucinations to the mix, started seeing things at the corner of my eye, those seemed real at the time so i freaked out a bit. Day 4 on the other hand gave me cold sweat and made me feel the hallucinations. I could've swore something else was in that empty apartment with me. I remember feeling a hand pushed against my back and jumping towards my monitor. It made me question my sanity, but i shrugged it off as sleep deprivation. I was too powerless to do anything but just sit at my computer. During the afternoon the sleepyness hit me and i went to bed, had horrible nightmares but still managed to sleep for around 20 straight. One of the worst experiences i've had.
Yeah. Unfortunately, I go through this often. I have been up for more days than (almost) anyone would believe. Under observation, I have been documented to be awake for over 5 days and nights. I went years getting only around 1.5 hours in a 24-hour period. It has severely messed up my health. They used to tell me it wasn't dangerous. But, with chronicity and severity, they now tell me how incredibly dangerous it is. I suspect aging played a role in inluncing their stance. I will never know with certainty. Of course, I KNOW they didn'ttruly believe me until it was witnessed repeatedly under close supervision. Sleep studies, medications... I won't try the 2 meds out there. That they think might help since my insurance won't pay for them under any circumstances. My heart goes out to my fellow insomniacs.
I once experienced 68 and a half hours without sleep. I had a badly infected sebaceous cyst on the back of my head, that made it agonizing to rest my head anywhere, keeping me awake. Towards the end I started experiencing auditory and visual hallucinations. I still remember the little girl who stood behind me whispering to me in my right ear. I went to the ER 3 times trying to get something done and all they did was treat me like a drug seeker. When I showed up to work half delirious, they got me an appointment the next morning with the medical director's office, who took care of it immediately. A quick incision and drainage and a dressing that I had to do for myself for a week, and I was off to dreamland and no more hallucinations. So needless to say, this story struck me to my core, well done. 😮😮😮😮

If you don't sign the consent forms, we're going to have to come in and grab you." (me, stretching my calves and ankles just out of arm's reach from the front door, completely naked except for a pair of New Balance trainers, freshly shaven from head to toe, glistening from a generous full-body coating of KY Jelly) "Just one question first, before I open the door. Are you familiar with the Benny Hill theme song?"
I though that the infection coming out only during REM sleep might be a plot hole. But thinking about it it might be more that they just didnt know too much about it. This might explaine the guards making the persom in the car go to sleep. The guard would have thought a quick 10 min nap was okay because its not REM sleep but any kind of sleep makes the infection get out. Would like to hear some other opinions.
I think that or as time went on the infection mutated to be ANY sleep. The one thing I like to think for the 72 not being quite enough time to go insane plot hole is that the boosters they were giving everyone either contributed to feeling more sleepy or that the entire street was put under a sleepy curse. Making them all prone to falling more.
My old ass over here like, "man thats not right... Since you been gone is way older than How I Met Your Mother! How they gonna be playing a 2005 song every hour on the hour in 2013?
That describes Johannesburg every night:) The could have given them Addera|| for 3 sleepless nights and they would have never had any trouble staying awake 😃😃😃
This wasn't bad, but needed to be over a longer time period. 72 hours isn't long enough for this many people to give up and fall asleep, especially not with whatever they were given to assist them in staying awake. Or the story needed to put more emphasis on the thing inside them trying to lure them to sleep. Either would work to explain why people fell asleep so quickly. I do like that the people who fall asleep become a danger to everyone around them though. Really raises the stakes that even one person falling asleep can make a mess of what would otherwise be fairly simple for most people to accomplish.
Thank you CreepsMcPasta for the awesome pasta. I definitely loved this one, and it is kinda similar to being tweaked out on methamphetamines and going 9 to 15 days without sleep. By that point you're too far gone to recognize your own street anymore and it's definitely a terrifying experience of yourself alone. You may or may not still be able to drive a car without crashing, but you'll be lost and won't recognize where you are. This story is so relatable to that experience that it's not funny. Very good work from the author, and an excellent narration. Thank you.🖤🖤🖤🖤
My own insomnia was horrible. A couple of times I was so exhausted and desperate that I just screamed to ease myself. For me, there was nothing worse in my life than feeling unable to move with mind wondering around, and yet being unable to just fell asleep already.
I completely understand you. My sleep schedule one day got away from me really bad and my insomnia wouldn't allow me to fall asleep until 5am. Being stuck laying in my bed for 7 hours straight, too tired to do anything useful, not tired enough to sleep, no one to talk to, fucking horrible
Real or not still scares the crap outta me while I listen to these before I go to sleep at night especially the one: something whistles past my house at 3:03 am (it’s on their Spotify)
I woke up at 3 and started to listen. I'm so tired. I even made coffee. I still can't keep my eyes open. Jolted awake at 5 and finished. Or did I dream it?
There was a man in a fancy jacket holding a clipboard standing outside. "I'm here today to tell you that because of your family's service to our country, you have been pre-selected for entrance into the local Vault. Vault 111."
Creepy sleep demons or whatever they are are always interesting. Hopefully there is another story from the view of the one fed? who was nice to the main character. Then we can see what is going on at the facility and why they went dark for awhile.
As someone who suffers from severe insomnia, not sleeping for 72 hours is a sinch as that happens once everyone other few weeks for me, sucks but I haven't found a sleep aide that actually works and doesn't induce some type of habit forming
Needing a prescribed and controlled medication to function because of a natural deficit isn't the same as a heroin addiction. Believe me, as someone who had half the adults I knew telling me ADHD meds were horrible and I was making a mistake, the meds helped me more than those people ever did. Talk to your doctor.
@@chrismeyers5963 I guess it was a weird connection out of context, huh? I was just using the example and my experience to encourage the fact that "habit forming" is often not as bad as people think.
@@chaos.faerie Eh I was found the term " habit forming " in regards to medication as always a bad sign and unfortunately most sleep aides are habit forming. I was on Ambien for a long time, back when it was still in it's experimental phase and let me tell ya, that stuff sucks, I was hallucinating so bad because my body was fighting it, tried Lunesta and oh boy, that stuff was even worse lol. Don't even get me started on Melatonin, that stuff doesn't work. I use to smoke weed as a way to put me to sleep then developed Arrhythmia and that put a stop to that because it would make my heart speed up and that's a no bueno.
This is relatable. I've been awake for only 6 hours. Which is, a lot of the time, all I can be awake for. But I am not able to sleep for another 17 hours, at least. x_x Sleep disorders suck so hard... Especially when you have things to do!! I feel like I'm gonna go crazy.
this is so good but honestly as someone that sees sleep as necessary as water and food i gotta say that if the government handed them a bit of amphetamines psychedelics or coke they gonnna have some easy amazing 72 hours
The longest I've been awake was about 50 hours straight. Around the 24 hour mark I started experiencing micro sleeps. Around the 30 hour mark I got a sort of "second wind" were I stopped feeling tired until the 40 hour mark were the micro sleeps came back. A small second wind around 45 hours then fell asleep at the 50 hour mark. No hallucinations or crazy stuff happened. Was just irritable and kinda spacey.
From perspective of someone who, for various reasons, had to stay awake for roughly 70 hours many times throughout my life I have massive difficulties immersing myself in this story. It is nowhere near as difficult as the author makes it out to be. Unpleasant? Sure. Unhealthy? Absolutely. A struggle? Yeah, definitely. Some impossible task? Hell nah.
Actually it is almost impossible your brain is literally telling you to go to sleep that your begging for it and also losing your sanity so yes it’s almost impossible
Perhaps I missed something, but did they ever elaborate on why it was necessary to cut all the Internet and cellular connections? It seems like the only thing keeping this strange virus at bay is staying awake, so I'm not sure what purpose severing the connections serves other than to make the protagonists feel more isolated and scared.
72 hours sounds absolutely doable. I'm not a big sleeper in the first place. I've always been that way. I only go to bed now because the entire house is asleep. So i have to take a sleep aide just to get started. Still wake up 3 times at night and do it all again. It's only a few days, for goodness sake. Can't believe some of these folks couldn't go more than a day and a half.
72 hours? Just give me two eight balls of coke and we'll be good to go !!😁 Edit: 🤔 that's only 2.33 grams a day or 1 gram every 10 hours and 17 minutes.......better make it 3 eight balls! Just to be on the safe side and all.😊
This is pure cruelty. Being made to stay completely awake for 72 is torture. The most I had to do was 54 hours (long story.) I had to continue moving, working, going up & down flights of stairs as well as ingesting sugar & caffeine rich foods. I was hallucinating once in a while. Never staying up more than 16 hours ever again.
Story is written by someone who has never done amphetamines in their life. Im not saying that's what the boosters were, but I'm saying they wouldve been way better then that. If it's the military handing them out, they could've even handed them methamphetamine tablets. Just, wow, pretty much no short term side effects like in the story. Plenty of stories of people staying awake for a month straight on them, so, 3 days is nothing.
@@HowlsEbookCoollections Or the government was wrapped up in its own red tape and all 'noooo, we can't give out controlled substances even in this emergency situation'. A story from the POV of one of the feds trying to get amphetamines prescribed and being told it's a 2 week wait to get approval for that would be humorously dark.
Reminds me of "color out of space" and that movie where there are aliens converting people by passing their saliva to other humans and it takes effect once the person sleep.
This lmaooo three days off some good crystal would be a breeze. Why some weird booster shot when weve been keeping soldiers awake for longer with chemicals around since the 40s
It definitely would have been a lot better if it was framed more as “is the kid hallucinating due to lack of sleep or is everything truly going to shit”. The author tried introducing the idea way too late
I like how I’m 35 minutes in while trying to go to sleep and am just now realizing the reason I haven’t even closed my eyes once is because of the fucking story 💀🙏
“We had no choice but to get water by hand” My brother in Christ, it’s one more day, you can survive without it. Seriously though, I feel like this story completely missed the mark because it fails to realize how EASY it would be to survive this. 3 days without sleep would be difficult but doable for anyone without a health condition. And having people fall asleep in the middle of day 2? Ridiculous
How can anyone stay up that long without falling asleep? I did about 48 hours once and was spontaneously falling asleep no matter how hard I tried not to.
As irrational as it may seem my first thought was that they should at least give them some drug to assist them in staying awake. And what do you know? They did. But what the heck was it?

We're already getting into 2000s nostalgia???? Damn I'm feeling old.
😭
There are adults who were born in 2005. Their childhood was the 2010s. That horrifies & depresses me.
It only gets worse. I was born in 1971 and now 90s is considered retro to some people. I’ve seen edits of the gulf war and I fought in it, really hits me hard, that was over 20 years ago
@@dorn0531That would be me, born in 05 and coming up on 19
@@BIackMass Man that makes me feel old.
I've been watching your videos since you started the channel, I remember being in homeroom in school or the library in middle school listening to you and the other two creators. You guys have brought me so much joy, relief, and have helped me through some bad times. I'll always be listening in on your videos. Thank you for what you've done
New parents “you mean in only 72 hours I finally get to sleep!”
I bet you shit loud as hell

Insomniacs with Amphetamines: “only 72 hours?” 😂😂😂
i have adhd and chronic insomnia... my adderall and insomnia would have me so well-equipped for this scenario haha.
I could do it I’ve stayed awake about aslong but not having the option too might fuck with me and make me tired but some addys and I’ll be good for sure😂
This one reminds me of the no milk story - both are surprisingly good
Coyoteari
Cool I like that Creepypasta Story and this one.
I'm pretty sure both are written by the same person, they always feature a blue flower in their stories.
Definitely both written by Saturdead. There are several stories written by them here and other channels also
if i had to guess based on the themes its from the same guy. this is better tho no milk was kinda mid. not terrible, certainly good but this is better
@@misdafireinfexus5828 yeah I just said it was definitely the same person. I wasn't just guessing
This was the story I just read awhile ago. The narration by Creeps makes it awhole lot creepier
I love how they’re like “no sleeping” to a teenager! 😂😂 like dude I never slept anyway!
I've casually stayed up 50 hours a month or two ago, but I always also very busy for those 2 days so idk how realistic of a comparison that is.
I love this channel soo much it gives my so much comfort his voice is just soo soothing no matter how gruesome or cruel the story is the man behind this voice is just my favourite 💝
Aditim
I like it too his voice and stories are awesome
(fancy man, completely exasperated from having spent 45 minutes trying to get me to come to the front door)
"For Christ's sake, sir, please. Look. If you don't sign the consent forms, we're going to have to come in and grab you."
(me, stretching my calves and ankles just out of arm's reach from the front door, completely naked except for a pair of New Balance trainers, freshly shaven from head to toe, glistening from a generous full-body coating of KY Jelly)
"Just one question first, before I open the door. Are you familiar with the Benny Hill theme song?"
This guy has already been up for 72 hours lol 😂
Making them all prone to falling more.
me and my narcoleptic ass would be out in less that 3 hours unless i took my meds every hour 😭
yep 🙃 my first thought LMFAO
Everyone's down to clown until
Freddy Krueger comes to town...
My old ass over here like, "man thats not right... Since you been gone is way older than How I Met Your Mother! How they gonna be playing a 2005 song every hour on the hour in 2013?
I mean they be playing early 2000s songs on the radio all the time today 😂
I'm starting to think some of these arent true stories. Are they really all true?
yeh
Every single one.
No they are all made up. Basically creepy fake stories.
Of course they aren't true
Based on true events!
I agree when I was a teen I stayed up 72 hours now it might be harder to do but sure I could still do it
Try it yourself. It's harder then you think. And actually try it, don't just say you did.
But the ban could have been at a odd hour where they had already not slept
true but they started 9 hours into the ban so regardless@@priderockgaming2627
you are assuming the infection doesn't alter the situation.
As someone with chronic insomnia… my time has come!!!
I loved playing the Sly Cooper games on the PlayStation 2 when I was younger. That kid has good taste.

Oh I like Sly Cooper he's one of my favorite videogames and videogame characters like Rayman.
I especially like Rayman.

I like it too
Love staying on this channel's radar.
Scully's House of Thrillers
Agreed
If it means I get to drink more coffee then I'll gladly not sleep for 3 days.
Being stuck laying in my bed for 7 hours straight, too tired to do anything useful, not tired enough to sleep, no one to talk to, fucking horrible
use sleeping pills or something
Real or not still scares the crap outta me while I listen to these before I go to sleep at night especially the one: something whistles past my house at 3:03 am (it’s on their Spotify)
Watching this now on hour 49 of being awake due to my flights not working... this is spooky

Another satisfying Saturdead story.
The second a flower was mentioned, my mind snapped to attention
They needed water for the bathroom? Bro use a bucket fucking hell, even I had to do this when we had a major power outage
Use your brain, they had been awake forr 65 hours at that point, you can barely see yout surroundings at thay point let alone manage any reasoning
Blue flower! Classic signature of Saturdead. I love this stuff.
Creepy sleep demons or whatever they are are always interesting. Hopefully there is another story from the view of the one fed? who was nice to the main character. Then we can see what is going on at the facility and why they went dark for awhile.

Bet it's Sleep Paralysis Demons
As someone who suffers from severe insomnia, not sleeping for 72 hours is a sinch as that happens once everyone other few weeks for me, sucks but I haven't found a sleep aide that actually works and doesn't induce some type of habit forming
Needing a prescribed and controlled medication to function because of a natural deficit isn't the same as a heroin addiction. Believe me, as someone who had half the adults I knew telling me ADHD meds were horrible and I was making a mistake, the meds helped me more than those people ever did. Talk to your doctor.
@@chaos.faerie Uh when did I say anything about heroin addiction, I was talking about insomnia, which has nothing to do with heroin or ADHD lmao
Get your vitamins. Drink a cherry lime ghost in the morning or something, gets your b vitamins, you do not sleep if you don't have enough b vitamins.
Put this on to fall asleep to and listened to it all. Loved it

What's scarier is that their parents didn't let them play online games.
That was a excellent listen brother. 🙏🤝
all that apocalypse is happening outside, they had enough drinking water, but the family decides they needed extra water for BATHS???????????
Thank you very much for your time and effort!!!
This guys voice is absolutely incredible for horror stories
this is so good but honestly as someone that sees sleep as necessary as water and food i gotta say that if the government handed them a bit of amphetamines psychedelics or coke they gonnna have some easy amazing 72 hours
Cant wait to fall asleep to this, these stories put me at peace 😂
This is amazing thank you so darn much
Used to work 16 hour shifts. Learned how to microsleep. So id be half concious for about an hour and then id be wide awake again for 2
The longest I've been awake was about 50 hours straight.
This one sounds fun. Looking forward to it.

Yeah I can see Jeff and his husky pup and best friend Smile going through something like this in The Slender Mansion
Great story and narration!
Since you've been gone by Rainbow is an excellent song. Now I know why this is my favorite channel 👍
He might not celebrate his birthday because of it, but I bet he still played the hell out of that ps2
This is where I’m so glad I have my Adderall. I’d just binge on it.
We not surviving this one. My ass needs the mid day nap whenever possible.
Can't believe some of these folks couldn't go more than a day and a half.
awesome narration
This could be a nice movie.
72 hours? Just give me two eight balls of coke and we'll be good to go !!😁
Edit: 🤔 that's only 2.33 grams a day or 1 gram every 10 hours and 17 minutes.......better make it 3 eight balls! Just to be on the safe side and all.😊
I cant belive ppl think these stories are fake
I love Since You Been Gone by The Outfield, but I’m pretty sure he was referring to the Kelly Clarkson song
The irony of putting this story on before I take a nap
drum and bass and some fun special candy, and 3 days w/out sleep go by in a blip, I don't see the problem here
This one was really good, I felt like I was on the verge of tears the whole time- not because the story is sad but because the story is terrifying
I'm a sleepy girl I could never stay awake that long 😴 great story!
Could you leave the names of the music tracks used in the videos instead of the links? it would help me find it better please.
Besides the sleep trope, reminds me for Resident Evil 4's possessed villagers.
That’s how the Germans overran France in 1940. Several army groups didn’t sleep for a week straight & just kept marching & fighting.
That would make the situation quite easier so maybe that world doesnt have them and just have something weaker 😂
I like this story. But like, I can't get around the fact that they didn't just give everyone a bunch of amphetamines.
This lmaooo three days off some good crystal would be a breeze. Why some weird booster shot when weve been keeping soldiers awake for longer with chemicals around since the 40s
This story is great cuz my birthday is today!!😊
It definitely would have been a lot better if it was framed more as “is the kid hallucinating due to lack of sleep or is everything truly going to shit”. The author tried introducing the idea way too late
I like how I’m 35 minutes in while trying to go to sleep and am just now realizing the reason I haven’t even closed my eyes once is because of the fucking story 💀🙏
“We had no choice but to get water by hand”
My brother in Christ, it’s one more day, you can survive without it.
As an insomniac I feel this is a win.
Good uploads this year
Sometimes I try to pull all nighters, but I gotta get at least a nap in. This story sounds agonizing.
72 Hours? Let me turn on Minecraft, you can hold my beer.
As irrational as it may seem my first thought was that they should at least give them some drug to assist them in staying awake. And what do you know? They did. But what the heck was it?
