DAMWON gaming is the best League of Legends team in the world, and it’s not close.
They were touted as the LCK’s saviors before they even made their league debut.
And in their sophomore year, DAMWON proved they were worth the hype, restoring glory to the LCK name in one of the most dominant runs in League of Legends history.

1 split they had a bad playoffs
Commentator: they ALWAYS fell apart in playoffs
This feels like it happens a lot in league. E.g. G2 being the 'korea killers' going into worlds 2020, having beaten skt twice and damwon once, getting outdone by griffin. What a record!

they been in lck 4 splits total -> 3 splits they did poorly in playoffs -> 2019 summer playoffs and spring playoffs, 2020 spring playoffs (this is in comparison to their season run / start of their season)
i.e. they started 2019 spring strong and petered out towards the later half ending 5th , than lost in 4th place for playoffs -> for 2019 summer they were 2nd in the regular season and lost to SKT 3:0 who was 4th in the regular season ending their split at 3rd (1 place lower than their season placing)-> than in spring 2020 what happened in their first split repeated itself -> than they blazed it up in the summer split destroying everyone and everything (pun intended)
@@asimramay1069 they were a bunch of rookies who made worlds back to back. Won a split, all in their first 2 years. Thats pretty good. Loosing to SKT as a bunch of young players isn't bad. Also, regular season and playoffs is completely different. Its why their separated. So yes, some young guys needed time to gain some experience. They weren't playoff chokers, just young players who lacked experience. They over performed expectations anyone else would have for such a young group across any sport or esport
@@tlawrow9292 SK Telecom T1 K over preformed when they were a new org , and they did not lapse in performance during playoffs , in a time where Azubu(MiG), Samsung(MVP).KT B and Najing were the vanguard orgs -> also as your own quote states "ALWAYS fell apart in playoffs" this is just factually true until their last split , and ur earlier statement about 1 split is not true either as it was 3 splits were they started strong and ended poorly as well as having 3 bad playoffs -> this doesn't detract from their talent , or their effort , it is just unfortunately for them what happened -> pair that with other new orgs that had more success (yea SKT in their first year as a new org , won it all -> all the way to worlds) than ofc these comparisons and comments will be made, does it means they did not do amazing things ? -> Of course they did Amazing Things(just not the most) but the portrayed story line of a lot of talent that fell apart(due to being rookies , experience or w/e) but eventually got it together , is just plainly true -> it sure does sound harsh though but when looking at things in hindsight it a lot of the time will be harsh what is said (especially where relevant comparisons can be made)
Ghost winning the LCK title then winning worlds this year, what a year for him man!
Basically most of Korean pro deserves that trophy
Bruh I knew damwon would win this year they were so dominant and strong. What I like is how patient and calculated they are. Another thing, they take pride in the LCK region
I feel like this video is particularly inaccurate about Ghost. It wasn't like he was past his prime, he was legitimately the worst player in the LCK at a point and everyone wrote him off, but he steadily improved until he was a champion.

No, it's because kk0ma wants to see Khan at Damwon before his retirement at 2021.
Idk what khan is doing tbh...he waits for the team to go worlds champ and then joins wtf
@@aquamarine3620 DoinB on his stream: kkOma's attempt in persuading Khan
"When Khan came back to South Korea from LPL, he was really planning to retire. Then Coach kkOma wanted Khan to come to DWG with him. He really wanted Khan because of his good relationship with him, he wanted him to play for one more year, so Khan listened and enrolled in DWG" - DoinB shared.
"In fact Khan played pretty well, it was me who was underperforming this season. Many other places apart from FPX could have helped him better"
"Previously in LCK, Khan was an exceptional player with great achievements, excellent performance, this year he even carried several games on several hyper carry champions"
"He suddenly told me that he could play for another here, and when I asked which team he would play for, the reply was DWG. Wow! DWG, guys, this is a very strong team right now!"
I believe that consistency is not happening in this game any more. The only ones who did it were skt. All the other world champs faded away and DWG will not be different. So khan will compete under the shadow of TES and G2 who are the most hungry teams right now.
@@BaIanar Gkad to see him back. I remember when he dominated LCK as SKT T1 Top laners. He is the role model for T1 Canna. His laning is scarry. His teamfight is even more aggressive. "China embarrassed them". This is such a ignorant statement. They never met in the semi final or finals in 2018 or 2019.

Funny thing is it's the korean players that carried the lpl

Only real “down” year, that being making it to the semi finals, was 2019. And in 2018 KT was the consensus second best team behind IG. How does that qualify for a fallen region? EU since like the second season has never won a worlds championship and NA... well... let’s not talk about that. This title is so misleading it’s crazy. This would be more aptly titled the return of the king or something.
Its funny. Western fanbois complain that eastern teams and players get overrated. Western regions have a total of 1 msi trophy from 9 years of league of legends! Europe managed to win s1 championship (wasnt called worlds) when the asian teams werent even competing.

Humanoid took soo many bans but still was a force to be reckoned with.
Also T1 kinda did deserve 4th place, I'm glad they didn't make it to Worlds this year. The teamwork was pretty much not there at times but I agree with you that LCK is extremely competitive.
