@Barely Gbay literally said that this story has been published as an article and translated multiple times at the start of the video. This isn't the first time this story has been public.
The most funny part is how Ig club manager traded him to Suning. That manager, named Su, Xiaoluo, now is the "GOD" of LPL. All four teams in S10 from LPL are benefited by Su, Xiaoluo.
I wanted to release this while Suning was guaranteed to still have games left to play at Worlds so this documentary was a little rushed. But I hope you guys enjoyed it nonetheless :)
Never apologize for your work when you present it. It leads people to see flaws they would never see otherwise. This was an excellent story, with very classy source crediting at the start.
@Andy Zhi Explain yourself, by this video we only get that thanks to him he got into two teams and thanks to that jump o the LPL, outside of that, yeah, could be horrible, it is? Tell us.
Casual League apparently Leyan had someone help him out big time when he was broken and team-less as well, and that guy is a streamer on Huya called Baozi. Baozi ordered him food, let him spend New Years at his place and allegedly helped him get into IGy(not sure about this part). But after Leyan became successful, Huya set up a streaming session starring the both of them like the old times, and Leyan barely spoke to Baozi, and was obviously not interested in the stream. When someone asked him who is Baozi, he said “oh he’s a streamer who plays Zed,” which is a stark contrast to the old days when he was very respectful and looked up to Baozi and called him “Bao Ge” (big brother Bao).

I wonder if his mother will one day find her son's name on this year's Worlds, and what her reaction would be. For that matter, I wonder what his father feels about this, since he was the one to give HuanFeng the last small push to go pro. Not my business as that would be highly personal, but I wonder...
Wasn't his moment, but now he got a taste. He needs a confidence boost, he's probably the only member in Suning to not do flashy play throughout the 4 games.
WOW. now im sitting here drinking my coffee and crying like a little baby while watching this. He is by far the most talented player on worlds 2020. i've never heard about this story but im glad u told us. thx for that. gl in life hunafeng. u deserve everything good.
Man hearing that his parents asked those shitty questions when he was so young reminds me wayy to much of what I grew up with, I’m blessed to never have been full on abandoned but I relate way to much to him and how alone you feel with parents that don’t feel anything for you. I feel like he’s the Chinese version of me I want to meet this guy. I hope that I can go pro like him and I’m still young and full of energy.
Ya know what, being a big G2 fan, I saw him as the opponent. But now I see him as someone with something to prove. Nothing but respect now, and he's got my support for winning it all.
wow, every time u feel like "oh finally we are reaching the good part" he had another unfortunate situation, such a touching story. great documentary gbay, my personal favorite. I guess I'm gonna root for sunning in worlds now.
SwordArt is known as the "mom" on the team for Suning, always caring for the players and brightening up the mood when things get hard. I think he makes the perfect pair with Huanfeng
I would argue that eSports players have one of the most mentally challenging sports. When games are decided by milliseconds and any delay results in loss, it’s a huge amount of pressure to do better and it seems so extremely mentally exhausting to grind out league for 10 hours a day just to hopefully be a top team must be so difficult for the players
@@mando2417 Yes they 'work harder' and 'practice more' because they are inherently good at it and get good releases of dopamine and enjoy the game more as a result of being good.
@@JohnDoe-qq8ws Don't think that's that fair to traditional mind games like chess and go. Sure they aren't making fast paced plays that can decide a game in a second, but their brains are constantly working and thinking out each move they make or could make.
Not sure how ppl feel about the title of the article but it’s such a beautiful and lonely scene that I could picture immediately and feel the mood myself. Their worlds performance is my favorite so far and I can’t help recalling this story over and over. Wish they could go as far as possible
Now that I got to the end I understand this and I agree. SwordArt obviously helped him get to the LPL level by giving him a path and improved his game to where it is now. Wonder what he can do for Lost. This will be lit
Honestly this is so motivational, just what I need! I'm here complaining on being stuck in Platinum with big lose streak while HuanFeng went through a lot to become one of the best. Thank you Gbay! I feel like I want to support Suning now!
“Your story has an end, but my esports story will only end when I become top player in the world”, it’s come real with Jhin’s Huanfeng ulti in the base enemy today :-) The story to be continue.... Good luck!
Knowing this encouraging story and how this guy persevered and fought despite having everything against him until he reached this instance... For that matter, I wonder what his father feels about this, since he was the one to give HuanFeng the last small push to go pro. Not my business as that would be highly personal, but I wonder...
I want to see his father's reaction more. he must be so proud of his son.
Who's here after Suning locks their spot in the world finals next week? Hope they win 🥺🥺🥺. Cheering for Huanfeng and his team all the way
i hope he can win
Go go young man. Wish you can succeed someday.
And now hes a finalist
His story is like a movie
Whether he wins or lose this Saturday, his story will remain as one of the most inspirational
SwordArt is known as the "mom" on the team for Suning, always caring for the players and brightening up the mood when things get hard. I think he makes the perfect pair with Huanfeng
Who says gamer are bunch of loser. This guy has the grit and dedication of a true winner 🏆
Nah, just skill and good genetics :D
@@bradley9191 No, it's practice. Koreans aren't generally better because they are Koreans, Koreans are generally better because they work harder.
WHOS HERE AFTER HE GOT INTO THE GRAND FINAL!
yup
Not sure how ppl feel about the title of the article but it’s such a beautiful and lonely scene that I could picture immediately and feel the mood myself. Their worlds performance is my favorite so far and I can’t help recalling this story over and over. Wish they could go as far as possible
I’m a simple being: I see a gbay documentary, I watch, like, and comment to support the release of more high quality long form content
I loved this so much. SwordArt is soooo underappreciated and I love him. Thank you for making this
Now that I got to the end I understand this and I agree. SwordArt obviously helped him get to the LPL level by giving him a path and improved his game to where it is now.
Wonder what he can do for Lost. This will be lit
@@datscrazy4095 hella excited
Honestly this is so motivational, just what I need! I'm here complaining on being stuck in Platinum with big lose streak while HuanFeng went through a lot to become one of the best. Thank you Gbay! I feel like I want to support Suning now!
“Your story has an end, but my esports story will only end when I become top player in the world”, it’s come real with Jhin’s Huanfeng ulti in the base enemy today :-)
The story to be continue....
Good luck!
Jhin, *red team's base.*smiling.
😂nice baby
How do you go from one of the most beloved pro players in the world to probably the most despised one.
I appreciate you so much Gbay
This video deserves so much more attention. Amazing job as always Gbay!!!
This makes me support Suning for worlds, damn nice story Gbay ;D
Did you see Huangfeng's flanking Jhin ult from inside JDG's base?! That was incredible!!
ah yes, this aged well:D
Wow. This is really good stuff. Never thought i'd get huanfeng's story from an english source.
im two days older than this kid and im stuck bronze, sheit
LOL bronze
My highest achievement was hitting Diamond 2 @15
Wait wtf me too
Actually 2 days younger
3 months older and stuck in gold qq
Review this video and cried again. Now huanfeng really goes to final
And now He's worlds' 2020 finalist. Goodluck to you Huanfeng!!! 💪
Knowing this encouraging story and how this guy persevered and fought despite having everything against him until he reached this instance... I will root for him and I will always praise for his best in whatever he does in life, in e-sports or in anything else. Only those people who does not give up despite having the entire world against deserve the best life has to offer.
This is going to be so good, just watched the first 3 minutes, and it's already heartbreaking but also inspiring, knowing how far he's come since then.
dude went from anime protagonist to hentai protagonist
Riot, make a esport series or anime out of this. this story deserves this and hella i would watch every episode of that!
I delayed watching this video because I knew I would cry so much, and I am glad I watched it now just as Huanfeng and Suning qualified for Worlds 2020 Finals. People like him make me very happy and grateful I get to watch competitive League of Legends, he is a true hero and an inspiration. I wish him all the success and happiness in the world!
Love the last comment from Hanfeng to the author of the original article: "Your story has an end, but my esport story will only end when I become top player in the world." -- Well, I think he did it. He is one of the top player in the world now. Good luck to him in his next BO5.
Saw a Suning interview the other day and I swear to you despite what HuanFeng had gone through he is amazingly wholesome
I'm not crying....you're crying (great documentary as usual gbay, amazing and inspiring story)
wow.
im speechless, huanfeng is such an amazing person.
i see that some of the pro players have the hardest stories, but the stories that gives satisfaction to everyone else, to see how much they've accomplished.
well done my boy.
And here we are now watching HuanFeng on his way to make an anime protagonist run in world finals. thanks to this, I'm fine with either team winning as long as they give us a game 5 banger
As a kid growing up in Guangxi, I still remember I was having tons of fun playing at the beach in Dongxing on a family trip
Huanfeng makes me want to actually be better at lol, even though I never even heard of him before 2020 Worlds...
you could start to watch LPL bro...
Woah, this narrative sounds like a screenplay. I love the fact that Huangfeng's arc developed like a protagonist in a movie.
*_HuanFeng's Jhin in JDG's inhibitor turret._*
_"Finally a worthy performance."_
This has to be one of my new favorite youtube channels.
Been waiting for this, most people who haven't watched LPL don't know about his backstory, now he can get some more publicity (actually idk if its good or bad, some people dont like publicity)
I think is a good thing, his story attracted alot of fans rooting for him, even western fans, this will make his brand huge and hopefully he will land a contract that will set him for life because he deserves it
I don't even play League anymore let alone follow the pro scene but I never miss a Gbay video, I absolutely love all the stories you choose to tell and how you go about it, this is a really nice one.
I read the article in Chinese. Happily to watch the same story in English documentary. Thank you.
so glad Gbay never gave up on youtube and creating was looking rough there for a minute. easily best lol content creator good stuff my homie
"Have the team play around me, I'll be the carry" especially true after that quarterfinals game
Incredible video man, this guy has had such an interesting life and im excited to see where he goes with it from here
This is both heartbreaking and so absolutely bloody amazing. What an immense story..... wow.
I can't imagine having this much perseverance. It really shows how much he deserves his spot in Pro League history.
I was surprised that the video wasn't produced by a major esport journalism channel, great job for making such a good piece
just watched the man flanking and ulting from the enemy base to t1 turret. he really deserves everything
This is such a beautiful story, he has a new fan.
i read this story, beautiful. I love that league can change people's lifes, its so touching
I'm a brazilian LoL fan and love to watch your videos. For me, the whole point in following LoL pro scene is what you give to us: watch how players and orgs grow across time, to be able to watch their history been made. This is what push me forward to create content and tell these magnificent stories of hard work and dedication. Thanks for the amazing content and your incredible work
Some friends of mine don't speak english and i'd like to make brazilian portuguese subtitles for this video, to share this amazing road with them. There isn't this kind of content in our languange and i think it'd be awesome to spread them on my country. If you want, i can make english subs as well (just the transcription, i know hahaha)
Looking forward to your answer - if I receive one hahaha
Thanks 4 ur attention
Thats great!
Hope he sees this
Mad props to these young men as they follow their dreams. After seeing this doc I think I could be happy seeing a team like Suning going far this year even tho I usually only care about the NA teams...
Hope to see you in the final!goodluck!
So, great friend Leyan.
This left me teary eyed and I'm not even done watching.
Sunning defies the odds by beating the 3 world favorites: G2, JDG, and TES. Respect for this kid.
I now root for him to go far in this tournament. Very inspirational story he has and an even better work ethic. He deserves more hype.
Suning gave it their all at worlds and some may even say they're happy to see at least one win from them. All in all, it was a good show for the crowd and DWG certainly deserves the win. GGWP.
And now this guy is one last step far from the top. Keep it up man!
JDG rejected him and he kicked them out of worlds in style
bro i don't know how you do it, literally every documentary you make gives me chills
