Man, never thought I would cry over a League of Legends video neither one about esports, that I don't watch. Starting off with a perfect intro, giving some information, praising Khan and then ending with something poetic so that people would want to know the rest, like can we just take a moment to appreciate the editing, his calm voice and the selection of songs too, like it really adds up perfectly, I was literally reaching for air as the history goes. Also from what happened to him when he moved to China, all the teams he passed through, to his impact on the game in general, he really deserved to win worlds. It all started to get me here 50:00 the fact that he choose over all champions on league the one that started it all for his last game it's truly poetic. 52:49 the way you can see him leaving and the other team going to get the trophie really feels like a bullet to the heart. 53:12 The evil editing got me, I was truly shocked and couldn't believe it, but something about their voices and posture just felt off. And that Instagram post was my ending, even in a moment that was really hard for him he kept with a smile on his face and thought about everyone, told everyone to take care of his brothers and even tried to make the last interview a happy moment. I'm glad he was able to show us what we may have forgotten which was just to have fun. He may not have won a World's title, but has definitely won the hearts of many people around the world.
I can't WAIT to see your rewind for DRX. This will be the the most epic journey ever, and the expectations are skyhigh but you're the ONLY person worthy of even trying to capture and retell it.
Gbay really is such a sleeped on RUclipsr, your passion for the game and the community is intoxicating and your videos are always of such a great quality, I can't imagine how much work you put into making such a long and great video, from the research to the script writing to editing. Thank you so much for your work and I wish you all the best man!
I stopped following and playing much league for around 4 years before 2021 so I went into this not knowing of any of the LPL, LCK, MSI or worlds results and not really knowing much about khan's story. This doc was so perfectly crafted. The narration, the music, the editing, the story telling. Not knowing what happened made it so that I actually thought maybe he actually wins in the end. I was so emotional the last 10 minutes and then just started crying at the press conference part and khan's message. Thank you for making this video. It reminded of why I've loved league for so long and why I always come back to it. I might have to go back and catch up on those years I missed.
Khan, the way you portrayed him, seems like a great person. reacting so mature in the final moments of his career by taking all the blame and then posting his last words as a pro on IG was just heartbreaking. He was in the Proscene for so much more than the money and was screwed over and over most parts of his career. He had literally massive talent but still odds stacked against him in a that leaves me baffled. Great biopic!
Lol why am I crying this was so good. A truly inspiring story beginning to end. Made me laugh, be anxious, sad, hyped, and happy in the end. Gotta say you make some amazing content
For us more OG players who didn’t play long enough to know khan, thank you for showing this with pretty much no spoilers. Instead of finding out he was a champion and clicking away, It kept me engaged, and emotionally invested in his journey with the hopes of his success along the way.
If Faker is the player who deserves the most trophies, Khan is the player who deserves the most respect. Him apologizing for his mistake with a true heart and shaving his hair as a sign of apologies really should earn our respect. Not many people can do that.
I gotta say, as seemingly the only League of Legends documentarian in the game, I'm so appreciative of the effort you keep putting into these videos. LoL has so many stories that deserve to be told, to be remembered; I'm just really glad this community has someone able to step up and do them justice. another banger 10/10 i cried
Beautifully edited and so well narrated I felt like I just watched a NETFLIX documentary. You made love even more this frustrating/awesome game. I wish the best for Khan in the military and for you my man!
This is extremely well made! You somehow made me sit for an hour and get emotionally invested in the story of someone I've never heard of in much less time than a documentary with a much higher budget. Top Diff, Khan... Top Diff.
Man. Thank you for this experience :) I've watched a lot of pro League, but never knew Khan's story. Even in his last series, all I knew was that he would retire afterwards. I thought he was just another Korean Top. Koreans in general played in a boring way for a while and that image stuck with me for too long. The other option was a mechanical young rookie solo queue player. But Khan was neither and I wish I would have known that sooner. You were never boring, Khan. Wish you health and happiness!
This was beautiful to watch. You did Khan so much justice, and I'm glad people can really see the kind and talented guy he is. Video editing, pacing, storytelling and music is 10/10, really delivering on tense moments and building up the narrative properly. Thank you so much for this.
This is such a good video, as someone who doesn’t play league anymore this is still a life lesson that goes to many people. What Khan showed us was purity.
man, sad but realistic and overall a learning lesson of an ending, not all histories can end like a fairytale like the Deft one, but that does not take away from the journey this player brought to us, how he and his skill and attitude change the game and made the competitive scene as fun and exiting as it is today
I unironically cried towards the end. This was a masterpiece, and amazingly well presented. Thank you, Gbay. Khan deserved this, and I don't think anyone could have done it better than you.

This was such a great documentary! Here some comments: - I just wanted to quickly look into it but watched the whole thing - screw 2017 ardent meta, still mad about Riot leaving the item in the game in the state it was - Khan is freaking cool - I remember slow paced, controlled League and it was super boring back in the day - videos like this really spark my interest for the game and the pro-scene. I wish Riot would make documentaries like this - I´ll probably go play league, get told to get cancer in my 2nd game and go back to watching videos.
We still have slow paced controlled league gameplay overall ; its a meta shift that turns out at the end of season 3 since the game back then was constant fighting without caring too much for objectives or csing . Probably in your elo its just a junk fiesta but the game feels completely different once you hit masters .
The game its not meant for everybody i know people who play since the closed beta back in 2009 and they barely reach silver all this years . Sometimes its just not for you at all , doesnt matter how hard u try .
Gbay man, this is truly a masterpiece. I,ve been following you since 2016 (i think) and every video you amaze me even more ,to a point that I'm not sure if you can get better. Its true, you are so so talented... And then you post this piece of art... Stunning, filled with amazing story telling, great arc in the naration, perfectly edited and spot on soundtrack. Un-freaking-beleivable... I was invested in this doc without even knowing Khan or what he had done and at the end, i had shivers when he lost. You truly are one of the great documentarist in this world (no, not the youtube world. in the whole world). Thank you for all you are doing! You are amazing
44:45 I think this was one of your best edits Gbay. The text highlighting 2020 China. So simple, nothing flashy, the audience just following the story you're laying out where all the events happen on RUclips or Twitch streams, and then the real life implications of Covid get slammed in our faces. It made me audibly go "Oh shit" because I forgot that this even happened during Khan's career as I was following the story. That moment combined with the retirement countdown hit me hard.
This is one of the best sports documentaries I have ever seen. It felt so emotional for Khan by the end. I wish I had known this story when it was actually happening. Gbay, you are one of the best storyteller’s we have in the scene. I dont know if it’s a goal of yours, but it baffles me that you aren’t hired by someone (riot or some other third party media) to make this type of content around players regularly. Loved the documentary and I can’t wait to see what you do next!
Legit documentary level video here. Being around since the beginning i remember these moments but never noticed Khan as being centered in it, it brought a tear to my eye hearing the story and realizing who the player that created the new age on play we see today was.
Wow, what a great doc. Wish I knew all this going into 2021 worlds. Would of made me root for him a lot more. It's weird how when you watch the esport it's just a entertaining thing to do and it's fun to spam memes in chat when people die etc. It's nothing really serious at all, yet to these players it's the peak of their lives and it means everything to them. I wish more players had a face to them so it would make following the esport more emotional. I truly think riot should hire someone like you to do these player documentaries full time as hype pieces leading into MSI and Worlds. Imagine if league officially posted these docs carefully uploaded at the exact right time. It would boost viewership and viewership retention I bet. But what do I know, I'm just a random >>
Man Khan in that post game, what a class act, Dong-ha isn't someone you should just try to play league like, but rather someone you should strive to be like and emulate as a person. If the world had more people like Khan it would genuinely be a better place. My goodness I have watched this video more than once and I can't help but cry every single time that post game part comes around, its hard to find decent human beings like that now a days. Its hard to take something like that in stride, Khan deserved a worlds trophy more than anyone I have ever seen on stage yet he just lived in the moment and took it for what it is, what an absolute legend of a human being. The mold truly was broken with Kim Dong-ha.
I dont play league nor did i know who khan was before this video, but i was crying by the end of it. khan had worked so hard for little reward but still had a smile on his face by the end of it. beautiful video about an amazing person who deserves the world.
I'm not really the type to watch much about worlds and such things related to pro teams and gaming from league. But I have to say this was so incredibly done, amazing to watch and enjoyable even if I was never into the worlds this made me see it with a different perspective. Thank you for doing this amazing job and amazing legend Khan.
That callback to graves in his last game was amazing. As someone who hasnt really watched much league since 2016 I was at the edge of my seat the entire time

You do a really great job of bringing out the personality of every player in these docs. I had no interest in any pro scene besides LCS before this but now I do!
Dude I was one of the first viewers of this video and I never thought I will watch it 6 times without skipping any part. It is just feels nostalgic, tragic and peacefull at the same time to seeing khan in a greatly produced documantry and that is just so overwhelmingly awesome. I can count the times that I cried in my whole life with my fingers but that is just, something about seeing khan again and again and again performing like a beast, playing with worlds best players but couldn't win the worlds anyway. That had me crying for every 6 time that I watched this video and I am typing this with the tears down my eyes. Khan won worlds 4 times for me, I hope he is enjoying his life now. And lastly thank you Khan for being "Khan"

What a great piece of storytelling! I started watching the worlds 2022 matches over my bf's shoulder these past few months and got super invested. Still riding the high of watching DRX climb all the way to the top after barely qualifying! But since I don't play video games at all, the mechanics of LoL are a mystery to me, as is the history of the game and its trends and major players. I clicked on this vid thinking I'd get in over my head pretty fast, but you did a great job juggling all the moving parts of Kahn's growth and how the meta responder to him. for real, top was also my main role and i feel like this video inspired me to be a pro top laner
Don’t do it, just enjoy the documentary trust
I love those moments where we see Khan just genuinely having fun. He was just happy to be there and play the game.
Thanks man, it feels unbelievably great when I see you guys notice the effort
he picked the wrong game to be so passionate about
not to discount the outer masterpieces you've put out but this puts those to shame this is the best league documentary I've ever watched
I might have to go back and catch up on those years I missed.
knowing the result still made the last 10 minutes hit the same for me
Khan, the way you portrayed him, seems like a great person. reacting so mature in the final moments of his career by taking all the blame and then posting his last words as a pro on IG was just heartbreaking.
Donghuap does some documentaries too, but I don't think they're quite like this one
Don't forget about Exil
He and Gbay are by far my favorites.
Top Diff.
Man. Thank you for this experience :)
I've watched a lot of pro League, but never knew Khan's story.
Man, I cried like a baby and I didn't cry in years...
I just love that guy way too much, he is so fun and entertaining...
That's the current state of league too
Just junglers winning top lane for you
Currently crying too thank you for admitting this lol❤️
i was about too cry too, i just held it in because im in a public place. but deep inside i was crying by the end of this perfectly made video.
Hey Gbay, thanks for such a great documentary! Really well written, produced and narrated. I think more people should watch your other ones too. All the best 😀
Bruh donated £10 and couldn’t even get a written thank you from the channel ?
Damn
I enjoyed the video too dude sheesh your next lvl
@@BoomBoomBlitzcrank its not that deep
@@BoomBoomBlitzcrank kinda sad XD
@@genoswolf9494
Your comment makes no sense, I never implied it was deep. My comment was implying that it was actually the complete opposite. Dude paid money and couldn’t even get a written thank you, that’s as far as that went.
Did you just comment just to see yourself talk or something ? You sound dumb.
This is the closest I've come to crying in months, beautifully made documentary with an utterly tragic ending. Thank you for sharing His story Gbay99. Good luck Khan, we'll miss you.
I did not even realize that I'm watching a nearly 1 hour long video. Time passed so fast watching this video that it felt like I'm just scrolling on Facebook or TikTok. The editing is amazingly well made, the pacing of the story is smooth and well done, everything is perfect down to its last minute details. Thankyou for making this video.
I hope that Khan will watch this❤️
Oh boy almost an hour just flew by. I was so invested in this documentary what an amazing video.
Khan will always be my favorite top laner, I first knew about him when he was in SKT and this made me respect him more!
Dude... this video had me in tears. I love Khan, I loved the message, and I appreciate you for making the video. Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much man. I'm so glad it resonated so well with you and others
The fact that this video has me crying like a movie with a roller coaster of emotions… I can’t express enough how amazing this video is. I am proud to say this is the first video that I have see. From your channel. The first introduction to your channel is like a positive nuke. I wish you the best💛💛
Every day with a gbay documentary is a good day, once again, straight amazing piece of work, thx gbay!
Man this is the first time I've learned about Khan and I dont really watch pro league, but man this was a tearjerker. incredible documentary.
This was such a great documentary!
Here some comments:
- I just wanted to quickly look into it but watched the whole thing
- screw 2017 ardent meta, still mad about Riot leaving the item in the game in the state it was
- Khan is freaking cool
- I remember slow paced, controlled League and it was super boring back in the day
- videos like this really spark my interest for the game and the pro-scene. I wish Riot would make documentaries like this
- I´ll probably go play league, get told to get cancer in my 2nd game and go back to watching videos.
S P OMEGALUL R T S
Legit documentary level video here. Being around since the beginning i remember these moments but never noticed Khan as being centered in it, it brought a tear to my eye hearing the story and realizing who the player that created the new age on play we see today was.
I have to say, I've watched many League documentaries, this by far was the best. Stunning quality and what a story!
Man, Gbay you still keep pumping out bangers after all these years. Props to you.
This might be the best league doc of all time. Super well produced, written, and paced. A great watch for any pro league fan!
But what do I know, I'm just a random >>
no no you're right
Man Khan in that post game, what a class act, Dong-ha isn't someone you should just try to play league like, but rather someone you should strive to be like and emulate as a person.
Khan is such a wholesome player, really enjoyed this doc.
As someone who hasnt really watched much league since 2016 I was at the edge of my seat the entire time
I mean…. You should become a documentary maker of some sort. This video was insanly good!!
I was about to do housecores but stumbled upon this video clicked on it, and couldnt stop watching. Superb editing storytelling everything! I became a fan of Khan today who I didnt know existed in the first place! What a great person ❤❤❤
Gbay wtf. This video was randomly recommended, I thought looks interesting but no way I will watch the whole hour.
I watched through the whole thing, was inspired, laughed and even got tears in my eyes.
God tier story telling of modern day legends. Sub well deserved.
I've never been so emotional watching a league video, thanks for the memories gbay you got me there ❤️
I remember the hype around Khan and how he truly changed the game. But having not kept up with league in years, I didn't expect this to be so emotional and bittersweet. Thank you for making this incredible video and sharing his story
When I see people making such great efforts to try and create their way of telling a story, it really does make me feel like respecting their work.
Thank you for existing
This documentary was so good that I didn't even notice an hour had passed by. This was an amazing video and thank you for letting me know of a legend.
Even though i'm a year late i just wanted to let you know I am in awe of how well this documentary was written and told its easily one of the best i have watched and i am really impressed with the research you did. Almost brought me to tears.keep up the great work and i wish you well.
my favourite player by a long shot, for a ling time. it's so pleasurable to see such a well-put, nicely crafted documentary about him. thank you for this. and thanks to khan, the man who reshaped league as a whole.
I already want to rewatch this. Beautiful work with a beautiful, yet bittersweet, story.
Man this documentary nearly brought me to tears. So well done. Incredible job.
what an excellent docu, had me almost crying at the end. Khan is a legend
probably one of the best videos ive ever watched, i come back to it once every couple months to appreciate it, damn i miss khan
You do a really great job of bringing out the personality of every player in these docs. I had no interest in any pro scene besides LCS before this but now I do!
Absolute banger of a documentary, had a tear in my eye at the end. Incredible, thank you.
THIS VIDEO IS INSANE, well made truly amazing.
And lastly thank you Khan for being "Khan"
such a good documentary, I nearly cried
What a beautiful story and you really portrayed it in such a captivating way! Your ability to find these amazing stories in E-sport that I never knew about is just so good. Thank you for this
Currently crying my eyes out at this. Easily the best video to date. Thank you so much, for creating such a beautiful documentary.
Even just the look on Khans face seems so humble. He’s just glad to be playing a game he loves & making a living out of it 🥰
Sheesh what a story. Great production here, please don’t stop making documentaries!! Especially on lol
can't belive you make me watch a 1 hr build up just to make me cry in the end (even though I knew where it was heading)
This really made my day with what I thought was going to be a devastating documentary, Khan's completely changed the way I want to go around my own competitive ventures. Thank you so much for telling this story
He created the Korean jayce meme! , admittedly I don't follow the Korean season that much so I didn't realise just how dominant he was- but thank you Khan for being such a light (and thank you Gbay for the doco!)
Edit: also, I totally get the title now haha
Khan will always be the best top laner of all time. He single handedly made league fun again.
Looking back at that 2017 worlds I'm so glad this meta is an absolute bloodbath. So much fun to watch. That skt jdg series was nutssssss.
I haven’t played LoL in around 4-5 years.. Yet i keep watchiing your incredible videos. This one was such an inspiration! Thank you!
we went from a quick 10 minute video about his Khan pick all the way back to 2017 to an hour long documentary on his entire career
stunning job as always Gbay, much love
this was incredible Gbay really, literally in tears. You have an amazing talent
Really outstanding piece of work about such an important and inspiring player. You really did Khan justice here and did it with poise, polish and playfulness. I truly appreciate the time and effort you put into this!
I really enjoyed watching. Thank you!
Oh my god i hadnt seen this channel in years. Hearing that voice again is crazy. Glad you are doing well still
