I'm currently only 40 minutes into this documentary, but there is really a marked difference between these recent documentaries and the ones before Gbay's break. JAG's story so far is really interesting, and I really feel bad for their coach. He seems to have the best eyes in the scene, but not the resources to keep the talent that those eyes spot.
I agree with the sentiment about gbay videos, this was a lovely and very interesting documentary, but I think their coach loved what he was doing, he got offers from other teams that paid more but he decided to stick to Jin Air on purpose
H-Dragon story is so inspiring. Idk what it is but the sheer versatility to be a competitor in a combat sport then, coach in 2 different video games is incredible. He is the main character in this story that I did not expect. Thanks Gbay for sharing his story
I became a big Jin Air fan while watching the Starcraft Proleague, remember being depressed for weeks when I heard about them disbanding. It wasnt only a passion project in League, but also the last of the Kespa teams to stay around supporting players in Starcraft after kespa left the scene, it's really one of a kind and I'm super grateful they get a spot to shine through this 💚
Yeah the double knife jab if matchfixning really killed both SC leagues and interest in KR, really said that basically nothing is left from it. Sure a few teams stayed (notably Freecs?), but there was almost nothing left in the RTS scenes 2016 onwards.
Honestly Gbay, I appreciate you so fucking much for allowing us to even hear these stories, the countless hours, work, and effort you put into these videos is stunning! I love that you're willing to research these smaller teams, and these stories we probably would've never even heard or thought to look up! I honestly think I can speak for the entire league community by saying this. You have single handedly made me have a deeper enjoyment of League Of Legends the game, but the Esport surrounding it as a whole. You genuinely make me want to look into all these older teams, and older tournaments just to find some bangers or find out stuff I wouldn't have known about players/teams. Please please for the sake of the LOL community, as long as you enjoy doing these documentaries keep doing them, They offer so much story telling that the LCS/LEC/LCK/LPL refuse to talk about, or bring up, I honestly only enjoyed worlds because of your videos which made me actually have a narrative going into the event! If you could make one in time for MSI, that would be crazy, It would be awesome if you somehow could link up with LCS to make player documentaries, show off the history of individual players/ or even teams, to help create narratives for matches. Honestly the largest issue I have with LCS outside of the gameplay is the fact the cast/stream/content has just gone downhill, I miss the old LCS player videos, the ones that were like 8 minutes and just told us about their history and backstory, but to end this off, sorry for the ADHD going everywhere, for real Gbay Thank you so fucking much for making me enjoy this game as much as I did when I was 12, thank you for making this amazing content to watch on mornings when I'm actually so depressed I don't even want to open my door. You do so much for this community without even probably realizing it, and I just wanted to let you know we all love and appreciate every single thing you do Gbay Thank you
to add to this, if you ever made a website, or used patreon to put out more content like this because youtube is very unstable, i think so many people would love to subscribe just to get more content like this!
I still remember to this day how deep my heart sank as I sat in despair tearing up as JinAir failed to qualify to the LCK during the 2020 spring promotions. Thank you for giving JinAir and HDragon all the appreciation and recognition that they so much deserved.
I was almost in tears by the end of this. It was incredibly well made and on one of the stories that definitely needed more spotlight on, especially by the end. Another incredible video.
only Gbay could make me tear up over a game I no longer play, a team I had all but forgotten, and a story i'd never heard... Thanks for your countless hours of work that you put into these videos.
@@gbay99 of course brother, ik RUclips isn't the most stable source of income especially with terms constantly changing with regards to monetisation. You deserve a strong steady source for the work you put in. I'm on 28 minutes deep in the video and I love it, really appreciate your attention to detail and your storytelling style of delivery.
This was tough to watch. By the end of the video I was became a huge fan of the Green wings. I teared 😢 as they struggled so hard to just to be there and compete. It wasn't easy but they kept flying without stop, without food or water it is remarkable they managed to stay in the sky for so long. Long may you be remembered Jin Air Green Wings.✈️💚
jaedong is actually still playing professionally and is in the current ASL season going on right now, it looks like he still has many years of success ahead of him, too
My brother recommended this video and I am genuinely WEEPING watching this. I start playing League in 2012 but back then, I mostly only followed NA LCS at the time. I don't play anymore (keyboard boomer), but I've gotten back into watching pro League again, including more LEC, LCK and LPL. The intense nostalgia I felt watching this (that CLG roster! that SKT roster!) coupled with excellent editing and story telling has really cemented one fact - I love League of Legends.
This makes me deeply regret not being more invested in the LCK during the 2010s, but at the same time you gave me an appreciation for the time, the team owner, and the coach back then who shaped a lot of the LCK rosters. It's incredible to think about how HDragon shaped the scene with his scouting capabilities and how a lot of those players would've likely been overlooked if not for him. Been loving your documentaries, I didn't think anything could top your Khan video but this one at the very least comes close, hope you get to keep on doing what you love!
Its been 4 years watching lol epsorts(lec, lck sometimes) from 2019 when i discovered the game exists, I never played a single league match in my life and i still love watching league esports. I have a question, because I want to introduce the esport to other people... how come you understand the gameplay without having played even a single game? I really doubt videos alone can achieve the knowledge for it!?
i also don't play league so this might help. The only thing I see are the macros and team fights. I don't know why they do things but its cool to see an engage working out! I do a little bit of searching on what the champions can do, What champions are meta etc. so i can be familiar with what their strengths and weaknesses

Fantastic documentary as always. Remembering back to seeing Jin Air teams in early seasons of League was a nostalgia trip I didn't expect to have today.
This is one of the few videos where coming to the end that I realize how much passion there is behind these projects. I always feel bad when I remember the issues that stopped Gbay from playing but there's still the love I feel behind each of these videos
Outstanding work Gbay! Not just a fantastic story, but a story told fantastically. I particularly loved how much you let the footage of the games speak for itself, especially in 'The Run'. The music choice elevated the emotions on all the major beats. The HLE coach crying in the post-game was shocking, I've never seen anything like it. I thought the clips of Jin-Air getting wrecked cut in with Rouges Cinderella story was brutal, it felt like really definitive punctuation. A poetic emblem of Jin-Airs legacy. Beautiful. Looking forward to the BTS and commentary on this.
Hey! I'm the guy who wrote the "Longest Games in LoL History" article you grabbed screenshots from. Big thanks for compiling this documentary together and teaching me more about the Jin Air team I loved all those years ago. Great work as usual.
Thank you for this absolutely incredible tear jerking ride Gbay. I fondly remember so many of those Jin Air games but I never knew how absolutely incredible they truly were. Genuinely sad that I missed a chance to more better support such an incredible organization. This is truly one of the best things you've ever made Gbay. You continue to grow as a filmmaker and it's really showing how much hard work you're putting into it. Well done sir. I anxiously await your next video highlighting the truly amazing stories of League that would be lost the annals of history otherwise.
Never thought I would be crying at work whilst watching a League of Legends documentary by the guy that ate a sock. Man what a legend. The amount of hard work that goes into making these documentaries is something to be proud of. There will be a day when someone makes a doc on the Legend of Gbay99 and I can only hope I'm around to enjoy it.
I didn't click on this video for a while, one because I didn't have time for it, but mostly because I didn't know Jin Air, so wasn't really interested (if I where, I would have found time earlier). In the end I just clicked because I know you produce great documentaries so this one must be great too regardless of the subject. And I was correct, you've outdone yourself again. I had a great time !! Not saying this to sound negative. Its the contrary, I think this video will do great over time ! I think a lot of people had the same thought process as me, not clicking because its not something they know or that interest them. But over time people will find this video because they like your content and want to relive a piece o f history

I first found out about Jin Air Greenwings through watching LCK, and loved their team's theming and pilot uniforms. I'm glad they made a good splash. Thank you so much for the effort you put into this documentary GBay!
This man really deserve everything. Absolutely amazing job in every documentary. Love your job, your content. Keep going and I hope you just go up. Congratulations from Spain
After watching LCS today and just being so worried for Dignitas, this gives me an appreciation for the people connected to an E-sports league I never got to see. Thanks for making something inspiring, its a pretty neat thing to do.

In my opinion, this was the greatest documentary you've made. And that's saying a lot, because I love your documentaries! What an absolutely beautiful story of JAG that you told
Gbay, thank you for your documentarys! I would like to suggest making a documentary about the Unicorns of Love. The Challenger Series run into LCS, the MSI Yorick game, the sad point where they didnt got back to LCS with franchising but then got into the russian league and had a german team. And now the first female player in a Division 1 european league with 3 games allready under her belt. Thats a sweet story from one of the most beatiful eSport teams in this world. Run by a really friendly family. I would really like to hear it all from you!
The mental fortitude that H-Dragon and the Jin Air org had to have is unthinkable, and I salute them. This was a pretty emotional watch, even as someone who really started following League in the midst of the pandemic in 2020. I can always count on some banger docs from you, Gbay, thank you for your continued hard work!
Your documentaries never sieze to amaze me, the quality is through the roof. I've been subbed to you since all the way back when you did the art of war series and i can honestly say that this style is not just YOUR best videos but by far THE best of this style of videos on RUclips. Looking forward to your next video 💪
The story of my favorite League team! Absolutely loved this squad and would stay up so incredibly late just to watch them play. Their 94"40' win is my favorite League game of all time and my pick for the best League of legends game ever, and I sobbed when they got relegated finally ;-;
Great team that gave me good memories, I really loved their endless games and Teddy carrying them, Also. I loved a lot of their players, they had really good scouting. Thank you Gbay!
I didn't know why I should care about a documentary about an organisation I had never hear of before. But I had faith that GBay would show me. He did not disappoint.... Such a great story and so beautifully told!
Everytime i see a new video from gbay i always think that this is what makes youtube special. Not the pranks and react videos they promote night and day, but this passion project right here that you do.
I didnt even know what Jin air wings was, with only a passing casual knowledge of the LCS even as a league player - but now I’ve got this bittersweet feeling that I missed getting to be a fan of a deserving team, while now being able to truly appreciate their immensely inspiring coach, post-career. Absolutely incredible documentary gbay, I’m always so impressed with your ability to take these modern mythological stories and show us the humanity in them.
I was just talking about Jin Air to one of my best friends who I got into eSports at the beginning of the year and shared this with her. Seeing this almost made me cry. I miss Jin Air 🥺
Man this video is insane. I remember being a mod on your stream back in 2015-2016 (around the time Blade and Soul came out) and hearing you always vent that you don't know what kind of future your channel is gonna have. Don't take this the wrong way but I wasn't expecting it to be this bright.
As a holder of JinAir league icon, the reason i loved that team was their understanding of the game like no one did. Always innovating and going against the grain. Something i inspire to do in everything i do. Thank you for this video, brought back so many memories. I hope H-dragon is doing well in whatever he is doing
INCREDIBLE EFFORT put into this documentary, wow! Thank you Gbay, this turned out exactly how you wanted it to, let me tell you. Look forward to move of these 🙏
This was incredible, it made me really emotional. I never appreciated jin air when they were around but this docu showed me the heart and soul this org really had. Amazing documentary and thank you for the effort you put in
just over a minute into the video and already astonished by the editing, graphics and whole mood of the video. It has that odd touch that puts some videos and creators above others, hope you keep this up pretty sure you'd reach them with time
Amazing video and work, my age in LoL is really showing up since I actually watched some of these games in the early phases of LoL. Really glad I was able to play and see all these evolutions of the game and how much easier it has become ToT
Man, to be watching at the time, this doc brought me some memories. I remember becoming a huge GBM fan as soon as I saw him playing and heard about his story in an interview...
These documentaries just keep getting better. How does he find all the research for the videos? It's over 10 years of history! I respect the effort to make the best content you can.
I have the Jin Air Green Wings worlds 2014 logo as my icon in league, put it on and never looked backl. I was never a fan of them, but nobody else had it. Thank you for putting the face behind the name.
I dont know how you manage to make every documentary so emotional. Im not kidding when i say words cant express how thankfull iam for your videos. I hope only good happens to you
As a fan of both Starcraft and League esports its truly amazing to me how many players who I have loved over the years were connected to Jin Air. From Rougue to Teddy they truly had a way of finding all of the best rookies. Thank you so much for telling me the beautiful story of this beautiful org. Much love.
Brilliant, well done. Learned so much about a team I watched mostly struggle. I started watching in the days of Teddy, A.K.A the fountain laser, and never knew the backstory to it all.
Man Jin Air Green Wings was the bomb, I remember they were the very first team I rooted for when the roster was Teddy, Grace and Umti. I was a new fan at the time and I really loved their uniforms, though I only watch a couple match and mainly based on leaguepedia to keep track on their score. When I moved out of league for like a year and started playing SC2, I became a fan of Rogue and Maru who were Jin Air players at the time. I forgot all about it, but this brings it back... Thanks Gbay, it was a bloody good documentary
Beautiful video. Very well thoughtout and researched, and yet captivating storytelling. Stopped following the scene many years ago, but been missing some of the culture for a while. This one helped me remember some of the most exciting moments, along with a very interesting team! Cudos Gbay .\m/
In a world where only the champions are remembered, it's important to realize that winning isn't only about making it to the top, its about the passion, the love, and the legacy left by even the teams and players at the bottom
Thank you for blessing us with this masterpiece. I've never been so emotional about league in a long while and your videos reminds me how great the history of the game is. Your content makes my years in this game worthwhile. Thank you!
I love your content and i have been following you for a long time and seeing you evolve so much through time and become such a great documentarist fills me with joy
This video was a masterpiece and thoroughly entertained me during its runtime. I also think, that it is absolutely criminal how little views you are getting, with almost 500K subscribers. You definetely deserve viewcounts befitting your subscribercount, if not many more. 👍
Awesome video, it did its job perfectly, I only ever knew Jin air as a bottom of the table LCK team. Really cool to see that there was so much passion behind it even when results werent there. Gbay does it again!!
Amazing video, thank you Gbay. I was always attracted to being a fan of Jin Air, whether it was just from the memes or that it's fun to root for teams who don't always do the best lol. It's cool to see their history and learn more about what this team really was!

I have a Netflix I never watch, but when I see Gbay docu coming up, I know I'm up for high quality tear drippin rollercoaster! You're awesome!
Thanks man, absolutely amazing stuff. Your naration and storytelling improved a lot, sorry for my broken english 🙏
Your documentaries never sieze to amaze me, the quality is through the roof. I've been subbed to you since all the way back when you did the art of war series and i can honestly say that this style is not just YOUR best videos but by far THE best of this style of videos on RUclips. Looking forward to your next video 💪
The story of my favorite League team! Absolutely loved this squad and would stay up so incredibly late just to watch them play. Their 94"40' win is my favorite League game of all time and my pick for the best League of legends game ever, and I sobbed when they got relegated finally ;-;
This is what peak youtube content looks like. Already cant wait for another one. So much research, so many stories to tell. Bravo GBay!
Thank you for bringing the attention of us fans to such hidden, but awesome, heartwarming and inspiring stories!
I didnt even know this team existed but man that scene of the HWL coach crying had me tearing up.
Thanks Gbay99 for showing me this absolute legend H Dragon, this documentary even made me tear up
Oh new video! Should be interesting~
Thank you for another great documentary~!
Man this video is insane. I remember being a mod on your stream back in 2015-2016 (around the time Blade and Soul came out) and hearing you always vent that you don't know what kind of future your channel is gonna have. Don't take this the wrong way but I wasn't expecting it to be this bright.
Jin Air was one of those teams you couldn't help but support even when they couldn't help but let you down
As a holder of JinAir league icon, the reason i loved that team was their understanding of the game like no one did.
Amazing documentary and thank you for the effort you put in
i've been a viewer for many years and i just wanted to say, this was probably the most emotional one - great work :D
Thank you for your work Gbay! This was by far the very best documentary about League esport I have ever watched!
Alright another doc! One day I'm hoping for one of these for Team Coast or even more LMQ.
Nice documentary! Caedrel just gave a shout out on EUphora about it!
just over a minute into the video and already astonished by the editing, graphics and whole mood of the video. It has that odd touch that puts some videos and creators above others, hope you keep this up pretty sure you'd reach them with time
Yeah.. this is the one, the best one you made so far Gbay, loved it with all of my heart
amazing video I loved Jin Air Green Wings, this deserves way more views gbay
I was a fan from 2015 to 2019, thank you for making this and helping me reminisce over my years of fandom for the team. Fantastic video.
I hope only good happens to you
Really good job on this one GBay glad to still have you in the space
Gbay has got me tearing up over a game I haven't played in years again.
Thank you! Long time league fan and these are some of the touching and cool story most of us fan do not know about. Keep these videos up!
Filmmaking is really challenging, especially an hour long documentary, you made something beautiful Gbay
As a fan of both Starcraft and League esports its truly amazing to me how many players who I have loved over the years were connected to Jin Air. From Rougue to Teddy they truly had a way of finding all of the best rookies. Thank you so much for telling me the beautiful story of this beautiful org. Much love.
u rly made me care for a team i barely even heard of in a league i was never interested for... very nice work
Thank you for bringing this to us :) much appreciated
Brilliant, well done. Learned so much about a team I watched mostly struggle. I started watching in the days of Teddy, A.K.A the fountain laser, and never knew the backstory to it all.
Thanks Gbay, I don't even play league. So glad the algorithm sent me your way. Much love ❤
These documentaries are so good. Keep going GBay!
Thanks for making this amazing documentary. The story was so moving.
I still remember when Jin Air got relegated. It was honestly heartbreaking and you could even see the casters were sad to see them go.
This was amazing. The story telling was so good, I mean just so good! Amazing! Thank you!
This video was a masterpiece and thoroughly entertained me during its runtime. I also think, that it is absolutely criminal how little views you are getting, with almost 500K subscribers. You definetely deserve viewcounts befitting your subscribercount, if not many more. 👍
This is amazing. Gbay, some of your best work!
I hope this gets more traction. Great job gbay. Been here since season 3.
