  • Muscle tension in the wider hip and gluteal area can be linked to generalised hip pain, back pain and restricted range of motion within the hip area.
    Plus muscle tension can increase the risk of injuries such as muscle strain.
    Clinical Vacuum Dry Cupping is an excellent way to reduce musculoskeletal pain and discomfort, along with increasing range of movement and muscular performance.
    In this short video Dawn Morse, founder of Core Elements Training, demonstrates Clinical, Vacuum, Dry Cupping and mobility stretching techniques, using a variation of static cupping, slide cupping and soft tissue release.
    These are examples of some of the techniques covered in Core Elements accredited day CPD course in Myofascial Dry Cupping, which is available as a face to face course in Swindon and Liverpool, or via Live Online delivery, or a fully Online CPD short course.

    Very nice and so professional. I really like how they're treating the patient and make sure they are covered properly, that actually helps so much to relax and enjoy the whole process.

    Hello! Thank you very much for taking the time to explain how to apply this technique in such detail. I would like to know how often a person should apply this technique. Thank you!

      Hi 👋
      Good question.
      Unfortunately there isn’t a set answer, as it depends on the amount of tension within the muscle, how much is reduced by treatment, the colour of any cupping marks, and how active the client is in between treatment.

    I just had bilateral THR and would like to go some cupping at home. Do you believe the silicone cups or the clear plastic ones with the vacumn "gun" work best?

      Hi,
      they both work, but often the silicone cups provide a softer lift.
      Whereas you have more control over the lift provided by the vacuum cups.

      If you have pain on specific movements I’d advise seeing a local Physiotherapist so that they can do a full assessment to identify the problem and then they can provide treatment also 👍🏼

    Can you use castor oil instead of the lotion?

    • @CoreElementsTraining
      @CoreElementsTraining  7 месяцев назад +1

      massage medium / oil feels nicer on the skin for the client than caster oil. But it’s an oil, so will still enable suction of the cups.
      Hope this helps
