Would be really nice to get to see the other side of the ankle, there... Question: I understand why one would apply the first two long i-strips in that direction if they were coach tape strips. Wouldn't you want to apply them in the opposite direction to keep that ankle stabilized? If I tape a shoulder in a retracted position from scapula to right in front of the gh-joint, I wouldn't go front to back, I'd go back to front. Just asking, not trying to be a smart-ass.

Ankle is a little puffy, just a little bit though. Knee not swollen but is unconformable. Anyways he can use tape and use compression sleeves at the same time? If tape comes off when taking a shower can he just use compression sleeves during the whole day to reduce swelling?

I have been advised by my podiatrist to wear an aircast for 4 weeks after an inversion sprain. Bruised and swollen. Can I use this taping method while using the boot? Or would this just be for support after the boot is off? Thank you!

Fellow orthopedic nurse here. You can use the kt tape after you are done with the boot to still give you extra stability. An aircast boot has quite a bit of support on its own so you don’t have to use both simultaneously
