- Anna Bayle is a retired Filipino fashion model who achieved success in the late 1970s and 1980s up to early 90s. She became one of the highest paid models of her time. She is also known as the first Asian supermodel. Her first show in Paris was for French fashion designer Thierry Mugler. Eventually, she began to find work in America. Bayle worked for numerous New York designers and became a design consultant to some established fashion houses. She did national and international campaigns for fashion houses and major department stores, as well as calendars for Elite Modeling Agency and Shiseido Cosmetics. She was featured in numerous fashion books, such as Thierry Mugler, Chanel, Scaasi, Valentino, Versace, YSL, Dior, Fashion Illustrations by Antonio, etc. Bayle decided to retire from modeling in 1994. Recalling her decision to quit, she said, "I wanted to end on a high note, and when I retired, I never looked back. It’s best to leave when you’re at the top".

She wasn't underrated. She was famous and became the face of many luxury brands. Maybe Anna just fed up of the modelling world that she decided to be lowkey.

I love that her expressions matches the theme of the show. When she's serious, she's serious. When it's casual, she looks like she's having fun showcasing the clothes especially on 3:35 to 4:09. She know how to work it on the catwalk, with the camera and with the audience.

Runway walk during the 70s seems like they're dancing.. When they walk the runway it seems like theyre dancing too.... It looks elegant and artistic, there's timing and choreography . You can really see how fashion evolve from generation to generation.

Ms. Anna Bayly was ALWAYS ALWAYS front and center anytime there was a TV piece in the 70s 80s on Haute Couture Fashion runway shows, pictorials like CNN's Style With Elsa Klensch. I always thought she was Indigenous from the Americas. I didn't find out she is Filipina till way after she retired!
