Anna Bayle was one of the 5 models in the early 80s ( Iman, Dalma Callado, Ines de la Fressange, and Mounia Ossumare), who captured my attention as a teenager interested in fashion design. But Anna Bayle had this slinky glide to her walk that set her apart from the other models. She also, to me, at least finally was representing more people of color( and this was the 80s). She seemed to be in every fashion show along with Iman and Dalma!(❤ both of these models). Anna was such an in demand model that once she had problems getting into Italy, because of her Visa, so Valentino Garavani, Mr. Valentino, had someone from the Italian government clear her entry into Italy.

her runway movement is so fluid, not an unnecessary extra hands sways …nor face delivery looking to be all over the place…she is so consistent with her attitude as runway character and is quietly commanding when with her movement….and those turns are legendary, the Anna Bayle walk…her hair is one of her other signature…the flawlessneas of her taking off a jacket or voluminous coat…her walk is the type that can not just be taught nor copied…but it inspires and elevates one’s wanting to be your very own signature and hone an aura of an Anna Bayle appeal and deliver a visual art through motion…
(even her poses is study in motion….in the height of haute couture era….they were the perfect muses and attitude of what sets HC from just any other fancy collections)

Anna et al during the 80s and early 90s were the true supermodels. Designers were never overshadowed, instead, the models themselves did their job showcasing the clothes.
THEN COME THE GEORGE MICHAEL VIDEO AND MASS MEDIA AND THE MTV REALITY SHOW THAT PROMOTED SPECIFIC ONES WHICH DREW AWAY FROM THE FASHION DESIGNERS.
Fashion died in the mid 90s as well as the real models. Anna, Iman, Nadege, Dalma, Ines, et al….what a batch they were.

@@nzsl368yes Ms Marquez was even bestowed as the most beautiful Italian woman then (and she is full bloodied Filipina)….another beauty trailblazer…but unlike Ms Bayle….MM was erratic, not as committed ….and as disciplined. Anna Bayle should be given a National Treasure Award ..for for decades she represented the Philippines, promoted the Filipina beauty and had been so proud to be one amongst the other global beauties….and maintained professionalism, a very solid reputation and is inspiring people up to these days …of her perseverance, artistry and achievements..a feat that will never be duplicated by any other Filipino as she captured and catered to the fashion industry in those decades, while remaining to be consistently awe-inspiring , one-of-kind …and her works truly contributed in so many ways into those decades of arts and culture of the 80’-90’s fashion ideologue.
