@@omnip3469 I'm just appreciating the fact that she is actually letting her wrinkles show. Like, I have cheek wrinkles like that and you just don't see them on most white models/actresses her age. I'm not blaming the models and actresses, they have a lot of pressure to look a certain way and do a lot of hidden procedures. It's just incredibly refreshing as a mid-50s woman to see a public 'beauty' allow herself to age like this.
Linda seems like an exacting, demanding kind of lady; a perfectionist. I don't know her, but I would not take those regrets too seriously. Her life could have ended up a lot worse.
@serenevil everyone is talking about her later surgery issues, but my first thought was her marriage to Gérald Marie in1987 who was the head of Elite Model Management's Paris office.

These women got me through my teenage years - I’m 52 now. I looked up to them so much and yearned to have a life like them. I was enamored by all of them. Just as beautiful now as they were then.
Same! They were then (and still are) so classy and natural. I loved Glamour, Cosmo, and Vogue specifically for these women. That George Michael video was EVERYTHING!
I was 12 when I first heard of them. I'm now about to turn 43. Mind you we only relied on a single TV channel in our town in my country and magazines and somehow they were popular in the 3rd world. When cable came to our town mid 90s I saw Cindy even more with her MTV show, her movie with William Baldwin, etc.,
I always respected Cindy Crawford for being real and saying 'Even I don't look like Cindi Crawford in the morning.' Meaning, understand that we have a team of professionals to make us look this way, and this is our JOB to look like this.
Christy Turlington for me was the supermodel of the supermodels ... I remember the first time i saw her on a cover i was stunned! To this day i think she is the most beautiful woman that i ever saw ... and her grace and charisma also stunning ... and she is ageing so well, the best for me
I don't know why this brought tears to my eyes 🥺 They were so honest and real, and BEAUTIFUL !! I'm so sad that era of Supermodel is over. We'll never get another group of girls like this again. Both then and now. I miss when models smiled and had personality, and grace. You noticed how they all thanked each other and spoke of highly of their peers and co-workers. Ugh. Just so much fabulousness !
Sometimes it went that way-probably most of the time.. except I remember Naomi was accused of being abusive to an assistant and Linda E was making remarks about not getting out of bed for less than x amount of $. Was it really any different? Better?? Nah not imo… maybe I like Cindy and Christy T better because I never heard them say selfish entitled remarks
I absolutely concur with your comment. Probably one of the best comments here - especially as it resonates with me too. I’m a 55 year old girl who grew up in late 70s - early 80s, etc.. very grateful to have several magazine subscriptions. I proudly displayed/rotated all my magazines, studied each and every gorgeous page and knew all the models names. Grateful for those memorable times✨💝
@@toriandjojo2018come on, they were very young and superstars at that time. Of course they might have been spoiled and rude sometimes but they were real and not nepo babies.
I guess you haven't heard anything about the MeToo movement. Linda's ex-husband was chief of Elite Models and is a predator. Models came forward to take him and other men in the industry to French courts for assault only for their cases to be dismissed due to the statute of limitations.
Linda has a story to tell. I don’t follow her so not sure if she’s written a book but I think she a lot of wisdom to share. She came across so real and authentic and was real enough to speak with pain in her voice. Speak, Linda!
I was wondering if I was the only one who caught the pain. I tend to be dramatic so I often second guess myself. I'd love to read her life story from her own account
Perhaps the pain in her voice was from her incident with coolsculpting. It completely ruined her body and health and really impacted her self esteem and work as a model. I really feel for her, and I believe she does a book!
I hate using the word "iconic" loosely these days, but i have to say, this was definitely ICONIC! There will never be another era like the 90's supermodel.
The new era began in 1990, with the era-defining British Vogue cover of Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington, Linda Evangelista, Naomi Campbell, and Tatjana Patitz, photographed by Peter Lindbergh, which created such an impression on the fashion world that they came to embody the term "supermodel".Each model had gradually attained fame since the mid-1980s and was now among the industry's top stars. Selected by Lindbergh for the January cover of Vogue, the cover inspired singer George Michael to cast the same five models in the music video for his song, "Freedom! '90"
I'm so glad I'm alive to see this reunion. Can we have a doc series of this reunion, please? Or a weekly TV show? 12 minutes is not enough, people. We're talking about legends. I love what Christy said about their early careers, the sense of fun is still there after all these years, the way they interact and throw in a few jokes, it's like they picked up right where they left off, but appreciating everything they got to experience and their memories together, it's pure beauty in a whole different way. 90's supermodels are very special, and loved.
I absolutely love her, flawed as she is I have always been a fan. And I LOVE LOVE LOVE that she brought up the diversity and mentioned so many different types of it with appreciation
What's crazy is that they ALL look like themselves. I'm not suggesting they haven't had procedures, but whatever they have had done cosmetically, it's very subtle. They look like older versions of themselves, and not weird, puffy strange versions. All still gorgeous.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE that at 7:20, Cindy gets to throw the August shade back in Linda's face! If anyone watching this now is not aware, the four of them did a House of Style interview on MTV (with Beverly Johnson and Lauren Hutton), and Cindy brought up her first Vogue cover being an August one, to which Linda cheekily replied that "August isn't a big month." I think it was Lauren who jumped in over the laughter and shouted, "My first month was August too!" The fact that they had a battle over whose FIRST Vogue cover was the most prestigious just shows how insane their fame had become, but they were aware of it by then even if people like Linda never lived down their moments of inadvertent bluntness. Some people resented their one-percenter lifestyles, but most of us loved them for it. They've all made mistakes and even deliberately bad decisions, but I have boundless admiration for how consistently they tried to learn from them, which I think is the number one reason they get invited back for things like this.
The insights behind the fame and glamour kept me engaged. Shout out to British Vogue for blessing us with their inner views (not a typical interview). 90s glamour was/is EVERYTHING! Absolutely, these girls were like goddesses, they were a 10. It seems like today most known models are just there for connections rather than looks, plus social media sells a lot too. People don’t buy as many magazines. It’s a very different time.

I’m glad I was alive for the Supermodel era before Instagram models, and that I could see these women come out on top. Thanks for the memories, ladies.
Between Linda's "Don't ever say you won't get out of bed for less than $10k/day, and Cindy [looking at Linda]" My first Vogue. It was *August*".... Linda was definitely the most amusingly quotable one. Even if she is a little mortified now, don't ever change, Linda! :)
Agree! I loved Linda’s spicey personality. I always saw her as this free spirited, confident cool girl, who spoke her mind. She wasn’t afraid to take risks, like her bold hair cuts and color. I was inspired by her as a teen to dress more creatively and take chances on my hair and to not be so cookie cutter.
I don't know how anyone could separate the concept of supermodel from their rich b-tch moments. I totally get why Linda, who just oozes sweetness and vulnerability, would cringe now. But those moments were absolutely part of the mystique! To me the most interesting thing about the 10K remark is that as far as I know (and correct me if I'm wrong), she didn't say it on camera. If she did, I never saw the footage. It shows how famous she was that something she said could go viral even when we had no evidence of it besides a reporter's word.

They are iconic. These four women, along with Tatjana Patitz, were the five supermodels that represented the ‘80s & ‘90s. The thing about the five of them was that they weren’t “just pretty faces,” they were also savvy business women in an industry that had previously been known for treating women as “less than” objects. I LOVE that Christy Turlington is not botoxed or restylaned!!! She looks gorgeous and she looks her actual age. It's so thrilling to see a women in her mid-50s looking her actual age! She is stunning.
Everyone's different. U can't just assume everyone tolook the same at any age.
Yes! The only natural one!
Christy is aging soooo beautifully!!!
Actually, she could have Botox. We’re so used to seeing stars have crazy Botox, but in reality, Botox usually very subtle

The silence after Linda said she had regrets was PALPABLE..the truth there..even the editor didn’t play music. Beautifully imperfect.
I’m not sure what her regrets are being that I haven’t followed her story but I can only imagine.
what are her regrets?
Linda seems like an exacting, demanding kind of lady; a perfectionist. I don't know her, but I would not take those regrets too seriously. Her life could have ended up a lot worse.
@serenevil everyone is talking about her later surgery issues, but my first thought was her marriage to Gérald Marie in1987 who was the head of Elite Model Management's Paris office.
I just wish Karen and Helena was there 😢
I'd much rather see these beauties than ANY Kardashian editorial or cover.

You see, that's the problem on her level. Naomi is a snob and thinks she's better than everyone. When we all die status don't mean you know what to God.
And it's a good thing? She is acting like she somehow above everyone else. She is just a model.

Agreed!
Yup, No other Era can compare.
So agree!!! 🙌
Supermodel is another term loosely used
The new era began in 1990, with the era-defining British Vogue cover of Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington, Linda Evangelista, Naomi Campbell, and Tatjana Patitz, photographed by Peter Lindbergh, which created such an impression on the fashion world that they came to embody the term "supermodel".Each model had gradually attained fame since the mid-1980s and was now among the industry's top stars. Selected by Lindbergh for the January cover of Vogue, the cover inspired singer George Michael to cast the same five models in the music video for his song, "Freedom! '90"

I’m just in tears 😭 right now!!!! Overjoyed HAPPINESS!!! Yes, BRAVO TO LINDA!!!!
Sing the SUPER MODEL ERA ended, there’s been NO comparison!!! Naomi is STILL SLAYING!!!! Cindy is too but in a different way! Christy looks like time stood still for her, FABULOUS!!!!! THEY ARE FASHION!!!
Hahahaha
Cindy's slaying as manly
"THEY ARE FASHION!" Love it! ❤Rest in paradise Tatjana Patitz and George Michael. 😔🙏🏾❤️🕊️
I didn't want this interview to end. Who's with me?
I salute these women. They paved the way for fashion and have now evolved so gracefully. Each one bringing unique perspectives from their experiences. Especially Linda who reflected on her mistakes and Naomi who embraces today’s diversity .
These (and a numbers more from the same era) are the “true” supermodels! Today’s models no longer have those captivating aura, x-factor, appeal, etc.
Those were the days. The era have passed, but y’all remain the ULTIMATE SUPERMODELS that is absolutely irreplaceable. Legends ❤
We, rather sadly, have influencers these days and ...
I am not even going to get into that and how it's certainly not a 1:1 replacement. Not even close!
I LOVE Naomi’s response to the biggest difference today versus in the 90s
My sentiments Exactly. It was a Fabulous era, but time to move on to inclusivity & broad acceptance.
Absolutely. Wish we could have heard everyone's answers to that one.
@@danieldumas7361 Yes.. and hopefully we can move onto something better relatively soon.
Well it was more PC BS. Inclusivity is okay to a point, but some things don’t need to be broadcast or put on magazine covers.
@@patr70 All I want to see is a Model, any Model, short, tall, heavy, colored, any one of them
Sacher along the cat-walk with something that's actually Wearable! Like back then.
This brings back so many great memories. God I miss 90s fashion and my twenties. Nothing will ever compare to the era of the supermodels. Linda Evangelista will always be my favorite, followed by Naomi and Kate.
i love that Cindy says she did "a Pepsi commercial" so casually. she did THE Pepsi commercial
OMG! The long-awaited reunion of the Originals!
I love their friendship.
And dear Naomi, I wholeheartedly agree. You guys are the best era. You defined what a supermodel is and embody it to this very day.
You´re living legends. Love you all.
Glad to have seen these models on the cover of magazines during my teenage years. Teens today will never get to experience the excitement of seeing a favorite model on a magazine cover while waiting at a checkout line and tear out pages and/or hold onto the magazine for years. THE BEST ERA EVER! ❤
You are soooo right! One can't fully describe to someone who has never experienced it about the excitement or just sheer pleasure of seeing those covers and then cracking open the magazine for the first flick through. It was way more of a jolt than just scrolling through 1,000 pics on your phone. It just seemed so special.
Way to rub it in...
OMG! These Legends are totally iconic for ‘90s kids. Such a beautiful women inside-out❤ Thank you Vogue for this video!!
The reason we still know their names, still see them in media is because of their intelligent business approach to their careers.
i don't know where you are but Claudia Schiffer was as important, at least in europe in general
Yes. I grew up in that era and Claudia was a big deal, the face of Chanel.
Yes she was but she came along a little later. No one is trying to diminissh Claudia but she was no part original group.@@envoltaemla6652
This needs to become a series! These women were and still are EVERYTHING!
It will become a series! If I’m not wrong Apple TV will release on September
Sept 20th AppleTV+ yeah @@globettgold @luishernandezblanco2118
Oh my god, I almost cried watching this interview, these women are truly admirable, they transmit a precious energy, accompanied by their beauty it is clear why these women have Made history in the fashion world... rather, they are the fashion industry!!!!
Regardless of their many achievements, it’s the longevity of friendship. What a wonderful takeaway from this interview. ❤
All I can say is WOW........still the best....still bringing it 110%. Cindy, Linda, Christy, Naomi and the late Tatjana....thank you.
The best thing I've watched all year. I love these women so much!! I got my first cover EVER in June. Seeing the Supers on the covers of British and American Vogue thrilled me so much. Missing Tatiana. Rest in Peace Angel.
Congratulations!
Cindy is NOT a woman. Check his neck in the thumbnail.
@@liana2136Cindy Crawford has been photographed since she was a teenage girl, you bowling ball. What is wrong with you people
@@0m3gaph03nixWhat's your point. Male from birth. Study anatomy and wake up.
Their relationships are so real, and not pretentious at all like younger gen celebrities. Love their vibes together!!!
They are all absolutely gorgeous women then AND now but Christy's face, in my opinion, has always had an ethereal quality about it. Just STRIKING!
The A-Team of high fashion in the 80s/90s! What a group .. I looked up to these girls and they were so strong and it’s great to see how strong they still are! Xx
Linda should not regret her $10,00 comment. She knew her self worth and said it. Do you think a man would have regretted that line or been lambasted for it?
I always thought that was a joke that just landed badly
This was so wonderful to see! So sad missing Tatiana 💔 Would have loved to also see Claudia Schiffer, Veronica Webb, Helena Christensen and Shalom Harlow
Claudia for sure
I love them all! So good to see Linda Evangilista back out and I love these ladies support each other. This was amazing! Thanks Vogue
Naomi hasn’t changed, she looks the same!! Ageless and STUNNING ❤
She is so beautiful, statuesque and regal ❤👑
I actually like her better now, but she has not aged a bit. Goddess. Also Christy and Cindy aged so gracefully.
Naomi.. has aged BUT her face is filled with Filler & her features adjusted nicely. She looks very feline now with those extreme cheekbones. She's the Youngest of the group by almost 5-6 years.
@@PhilAlumbChristy and Naomi are just a year apart
@@Linda-dc7rl ... I was Referring to Cindy pushing 58 and Linda pushing 59.
For me it was always Christy, with her ethereal beauty and a ton of class.
And queen Naomi, regal and ineligent. Such joy to see the girls together ❤
I just ADORED all of them back in the day, bought every copy of Vogue i could get my hands on ( which i still have) This was such a treat thank you Edward and all the team.
This warms my heart and made my day. Linda is my favorite and I worship her but I love them all. The legends period. Also these ladies have transcended fashion and popular culture into iconic status and continues to do it at any age. It’s not just their looks but the women on the inside that keeps us glued to them.
I love Cindy’s voice. So deep and nice to hear ❤
She is so eloquent and charming also ❤
Deep, like a man’s? Matches her face😂
😂😂😂 deep voice because he is a DUDE.
Incredible! There will never be another time like that George Michael 90’s model thing! Love all 4 of them ❤
Brilliant get=together of the idols. They will never be surpassed. Missing Claudia, Yasmeen, Eva, Kate and Stephanie. And RIP beautiful Tatjana.
Don’t forget Carla!
and helena christensen
