I was really interested in using this for our upcoming trip to Portugal. Then I looked had how many steps there were and how many you need to do after you are in the country. When you don't have any connection it would be difficult to make all of these setting changes. And if you get something wrong your out of luck you have already paid for it.

You can install and set up the eSIM before your trip, and when you arrive at the destination country you'll only need to activate the line and follow the recommendations on your eSIM installation page. and what happened? could you make it? me too no technie and I'm thinking wether going with e sim or buying one sim at the airport on arrival
@laurabianchi1323 Airalo Support did a tremendous job in helping me troubleshoot and resolve my issues. I will be honest, though, and let you know that it did come at the expense of my time. I had to change my plans so I could stay on WiFi to troubleshoot. I travelled solo, so only I was inconvenienced. If I was with family or friends, it could have been more problematic. As it was, it was vacation time lost. You'll have to determine whether saving money or time is more important on your holiday. In addition, Airalo could have also improved customer experience since then. 🤷🏾♀️
@laurabianchi1323 If you do decide to buy a regular sim, don't buy it at the airport. Like most airport prices, they are inflated, I'm told.
In some countries, such as India and others, it can be difficult, if not impossible to get a sim card outside the airport. Some countrues want local ID cards, local addresses, etc. Do your homework. Plus I have purchased sim cards at smaller shops and had difficulties time. Generally, those sim booths at the airport have the experience and are best equipped to get you up and running. I am going with Airola when I travel to India in less than 2 weeks.

I have installed esim on my samsung ultra s22. I think i have done it right but i used the direct installation and not the QR or Manual installation. Will this matter?
With a S23, I copy pasted the eSIM SM-DP+Address and after clicking on Connect the screen says: Your eSIM isn't ready yet. For more information, contact your service provider.
I just threw out money on the window... Why this takes sooooo many steps? I even put your video on 3/4 play speed. I prefer to pay extra with my physical SIM provider.... I went to the trip, nothing worked out. The card will expire in 7 days, I am so lucky that I did not buy the 2 GB. I said I'll give a try with the least expensive one.... Well, life is about learning, sometimes you pay for it... Unfortunatelly.... I used to buy physical SIMs before, I was happy to see eSIM, but it did not work for me. I'll return with my old, but working method.

US S23 and newer devices no longer support the activation code method. Can you try taking a screenshot of the QR code instead?
@@airalocom i managed to solve the problem, it was just that s23+ has lunched a new update that's why it didn't work at first

Can I set this all up prior to my trip? Or do I need to wait until I land?
Hello David! We recommend that you install the eSIM a day before your travel, as you need a stable internet connection to install the eSIM on your device successfully. The eSIM will activate once it connects to an allowed network at your destination.
Is this what you need to do for Samsung? Because iPhone, it takes about 30 seconds.... I just bought the eSIM for my parents Samsung. Not sure if they can do this when they arrive.

I downloaded the global esim and I didn't have to enter any APN settings. It did all that automatically when I installed the esim. I decided to get the global do that if I don't use up all the data, I csn still use it in my home country when my vacation is finished.

Whenever I try and manually enter the QR code from the picture phase my Samsung doesn't give me the option to manually enter the code.is there another way

I keep getting eSIM isn’t ready yet after entering activation code. Even the QR CODE tells me to TRY AGAIN

Do you have a fully automatic installation process for your eSim?
I understand that something I'm talking about can be done automatically - by scanning a QR code. But since I am going to start the installation at the airport of departure, upon arrival at the airport of the country for which I am going to purchase your service, it will probably need to continue the installation, which will most likely still have to go to the manual installation...
I accidentally installed my esim but hit primary for cellular data instead of the esim will that impact my 1gb in Mexico or will it work fine once I land?

Hi I bought an e-sim on my Samsung s23 but even if it has been installed on my phone I’m unable to use the data. It always appears “not activated” like if I’m missing a step. Any suggestions?
