I just put together an HP Prodesk with 7700k processor, RX6400 and 16GB RAM. It plays everything up to Nintendo Switch and most AAA titles at 45-60 FPS. I love your budget builds!

I have picked up a few HP Pro Desk 600 series systems for basic gaming PCs. If you can get the 800 series, they actually have a mATX motherboard, and you can put larger low profile GPUs in it, like a GTX 1050Ti or even the RTX 3050. Here in Australia getting single slot GPUs is a reach challenge...

I wanted to buy the exact same units with similar specs however I hesitated and lost the opportunity. these 8th gen units are better than older ones. you gained a sub.

Awesome video. Can you recommend a budget video card for a Dell Optiplex 7050 SFF? Just for watching 4k movies and old Team Fortress 2 games.

Hi. Depends on your budget is. RX 6400 should fit your needs. Or for cheaper a gt 1030 can support 4K I believe.

Bought two of these for my kids. Bad choice.
PCIe X16 slot is next to the PSU, that means limited space and limited choice of GPUs that can be installed in that space, basically only single slot GPU cards.
The other problem is the MotherBoard limitation for the PCIe slots that allows only 35W GPUs. The other problem is that GPU running at 80c temperatures next to the PSU gets the PSU really hot, bassicaly you bake the PSU with the GPU, ended up upgrading the PSUs with aditional exhaust fans (5010 3D printer fans) just to keep inside of the PSUs cold enough, because the case of the PSU absorbes all the heat from the GPU next to it. GPU running at 80c in a tight space with bad air circulation gets all the components (except the CPU) at that temp(really bad for the hard drive), so ended up adding another two 3D printer blower fans(5015s), one for each computer in place of an epmpty PCIe x4 slot just to blow out all the heat generated by the GPU. Wired them directly to GPU Fan Cable, so when the GPU gets hot and GPU fan starts spinning faster, exhaust blower fan speeds up at the same time. A lot of trouble to get a decent playing toys for kids. Next builds for the kids would be a full size PCs so they can put whatever they want into it, with no power or space/heat restrictions by the prebuild PCs

I was looking at one of these recently also. I can’t decide between the 8th gen i5 or the i7-6700. The i7 version is usually around the same price if not a little cheaper. I do like the windows 11 support though.
