Congrats my guy, consider yourself blessed!
My hp prodesk does too. Guess because i got an older generation one
Sir, if you have this computer resetting in a never ending loop, what solution can you offer. Resetting the CMOS does not help and all components are being tested separately - they all work. So confusing. Any suggestion will help. Thank you. This was a great video. :)
How conect pci-e power for the graphics card?
I need help finding the bracket
I sell them, check the description. If interested
Oh I missed it then I think they are out
@@wsideRJ Sorry about that, the links are now updated.
Is the motherboard a mini atx, could the motherboard be swaped?
It’s a micro atx motherboard, so yeah it can be swapped for something else.
@@ZackEberly hey, thanks for the reply 😀👍
Bought one of these atx 24 Pin to hp adapter. It did not work. If anyone has a link to one that does work let me know.
There are 2 different kinds. I got lucky and pick the right on up. -www.moddiy.com/categories/Cables/Branded-PC-and-Server-Cables/Dell-Cables/ Try matching the exact model number to the appropriate adapter.
@@ZackEberly your awesome. I'm ordering one right now. Upon further inspection, the one I ordered was for an hp z220. The one I needed was for a pro 600.
Can the gtx 960 full size fit
Might run into issue with spacing with the motherboard and not the case.
Can i get it to work with low profile gpu that doesn't have 8pin with the adapter and is the pc going to last long?
That should work. Make sure the GPU is to long but you should be fine with a low profile card.
@@ZackEberly alright thank you!
@@ZackEberly one more thing how long can the adapter last?
Bro can I by any chance pair GTX 1050ti
IDK, will it fit then yes.
Yo can I put a 10 inch gpu in it? And can I just zip tie the psu?
If you wanted to fit a 10 inch GP you would have to remove the extra hard drive cages so no and as for the psu you could zip tie it in that’ll work.
@@ZackEberly ok
@@ZackEberly for me it fits but I need the angled adapter
You kinda sound like Matthew Broderick. Save Ferris
he does
Very Interesting! I really wan to build my own pc!
Oh My God! De dónde sacaste esa panelota brother?
De Italia, jaja, él no habla español, hermano. Jaaja
Thank you for this😅. Would you be willing to possibly post the file for that PSU bracket you 3-D printed?
Yeah I can, the holes need to be bigger as they didn’t quite line up. Let me see what I can do.
@@ZackEberly waiting for you PSU bracket file... :-p
@@dodiwolverine9931 oh my, one moment plz

Well, did you try reset the bios/uefi?
@@ZackEberly how broh ??
Did you watch my video on it?? Or just skip it and go to my latest video to comment so I’d see it.
I'd skip just so you notice me
How about you watch the vid and then comment on that video, so others can see. I’m quite active on my channel so I don’t think I’ll miss it.
Great project - doing the same as u, was wondering what PSU use used for the bracket.
Thanks Ash
Instablaster...
It’s really not that hard. Just be okay with an rx6600 or a gtx 1660.
Okay
@zack
Do you think i can use the 180 w power supply to run a gt1030 in the setup?
Or do I need more power?
I believe the max wattage from the PCIe slot is 70 watts or so. If the rest of your PC is extremely efficient then maybe but I tried running a GTX 750 in a dell pc with 280 watt PSU and it didn't work, so I'd recommend getting a larger PSU.
Great job, props on pur production value, too!
Say someone did something crazy.. And Oh i dont know, purchased. An HP elite 800 mb To replace his gigabyte board sprting his 4th gen Core i5- i didcovered i need the adapter u found, buuuut whats with the front buttons? You mentioned them iquickly..
Sometimes with certain motherboards they have a sensors for the side panel or they need the right front panel connector to boot correctly. I’ve had this problem on a dell motherboard before.
@@ZackEberly Maybe I overused my attempt at humor and subsequently fogged my situation. I zm familiar with the sensors for side panels, and all in pack connectors vs two pin modular similar to jumpers type connection for front of PC functionality ( pwr, reset, turbo, hdd LED, etc) I am asking, is: Does the HP board in your video have proprietary front of PC connectors ?
Would an a2000 fit
Yes.
Hey great video, do you know the dimensions of the RX 480 by any chance ? Can't find them on the net.
The Cards PCB is 7 inches long and the shroud/cooler is an 1.5 inches
360p?
I guess you were to earlier, RUclips’s HD encoding servers are a little slow sometimes.
Omg thank you!
I think I will stick with my gtx 1650
best cpu for this computer?
i7 4790
what psu can fit hp 800 g1 tower
The OEM one (ATX PSU). You have to get a bracket for any other standard size.
@@ZackEberly can you send me a link for the bracket ?
@@nerdslapper There is a link in the description but the screw holes don't line up very nicely.
What the power supply?
Old one or the new one?
@@ZackEberly new one
@@Cigrzz I think it switched in the end to a 500 watt Thermaltake PSU.
Just want one for basic gaming. Anyone know if i can fit my GTX 1660 Super for VR Chat and Oculus? Much would be appreciated! tsk tsk… bruhh what do you expect.. me to be made of money? If you have money send to me plz
I'm doing this but turning it into a budget Mining Rig, if it weren't for your video about the PSU not being standard size I would've been so confused when I actually build it in a few days! Can't thank you enough for the PSU brackets!
I literally gave that PC to a friend for a mining rig.
We'll damn u got a new viewer
Or just buy a HP prodesktop 400 G1 IT HAS NO PROPRIETARY CONNECTORS
Sounds like a great idea, to bad you DIDN'T tell me this several months ago... but on the bright side, I made some money so its a win for me.
Please do not use shoddy adapters to power your PC.
There's actually nothing really shoddy about it. Match current and do your research and it looks like someone already did the hard work and now offers a product. Yes I understand your concern but I've been using it ever since and it works fine cuz its so simple.
Love the video! Watching in the UK. I just bought 4 of these prodesk machines and looking to do the exact same as you (x4) to create entry- / mid-level gaming rigs. I'm loving the psu bracket and really hoping you can send four over the water to England? Hoping you can help me out. :)
Ive sent you a message on ebay. Thanks Zack

Zach... what can I do to get a standard graphics card in there?
This was pure comedy to me! I‘ve made the exact same experiences (Power supply, adapter, graphics card). I am running it with a GTX 970 in a small version (had to laugh so hard about the USB cable thing).
My only problem is that when i start the PC, the power supply Fan triggers an error. I have to press F1 and it works. I can live with it but any suggestions?
Anyways thanks for the laughs😂
Is the cpu fan running at full speed?
Its already gaming
Get a low profile graphic card
What... no the gpu made for a full size. The case isn't low form factor...
