just for future reference, for dual channel, you want to use slots 2 and 4. also you can buy 90 degree usb 3 adapters which i think will fix your gpu clearance issue. great build though
I got an optiplex 990 with a i5 2400 I had a spare i7 2700 and added 16 gigs of ram and its noe 20 gigs and a gtx 1650 I might get a new optiplex and buy a case and use the mobo Edit:you are so underrated but the best channel lmfao

hey crimson tech i want some tips and ideas for our pc and when i mean our i mean me and my friend we have some old optilex 9010s at school and miss said we could take them could you recommend us some parts?
@@crimsontechyt I am interested in case swapping my old optiplex 7020 into a ATX case but dont really know what parts support what, i know basic stuff like how to build one and what they do, i just dont really know what supports other parts thats why im asking for a guide. Thanks ill check out the video.
for someone who does a lot of rendering and 3d modeling with my laptop, but I also take my laptop with me all the time, would you recommend the G14 over the G16 (2024) when it comes to performance/portability?
I have this Pc and i using it for gaming my pc is Hp ProDesk 600 G1 TRW Intel core I5 4570 RAM 8 Ssd 128 gb Hdd 500 gb Hdd 250 gb No GPU [ Do you know which GPU supports my PC? ] I need it please help me , thanks you
@crimsontechyt thank you so much, and nice video by the way. I have been looking for many months. I don't find any adapter. IT USES 4+4+6 PIN. I don't know if there is any solution to upgrade my PSU.
Thank you! :D The small form factor PCs are a bit harder to convert, since they have very proprietary screw positions, cables, and even power states. I couldnt find an adapter right away on google, but aliexpress might have them? That 6 pin is only used to power the DVD/SSD drives, so i wouldnt worry to much about that. One of the 4 pins powers the CPU, which is standard, and then you'll need to find a 24-pin to 4-pin adatper to power the motherboard.
@crimsontechyt true 👍🏻 the only problem is the one 4 pin adapter The other one is for cpu fan And the 6 pin for the dvd. In aliexpress, all of them are 6 pin connector.
i have a optiplex 3040 with 2 ram slots and n o m.2 drive slot, I have a i7 6700 and rx 580 in it with 16 gb of ram, I want to get a new case for it without upgrading the motherboard, psu or anything else really except the case, What should i do?
It should be completely possible, but you might lose your front I/O functions, due to the connectors being proprietary. You could get an adapter for it though :)
Both configurations have dual channel support, and lack XMP. The difference between the two hasn't been an issue (on 99% of boards) since like a decade ago

Without changing anything about the rest of the system, you could get a GPU that doesn't need extra PCIe power. The most common GPU in this category would be a small GTX 1650, but i think there are stronger cards out there that dont need a 6+2 pin cable.

The io shield issue can easily be dealt with in any welding shop. just lug the case there and tell the hombre to plasma torch that shield out

No probs mate
And I like the ascetic building in the nature
you can get usb 3.0 header 90 degree angles online for a few bucks. bad planning but then they never expected that big a card.
No way! I'm also working on a video upgrading a HP Prodesk! How coincidental!
Ayy nice :D
You can use a USB 3.0 90° MOTHERBOARD adaptor. It will easily give you room for the gpu as well👍🏽
With that would all of the ports work?
Damn with only 4k subs you are doing so much work and good videos ,i mean i am out of work. This is professional level.
Thank you! :)
man your videos are fun to watch make more of those please

if there's some room between the gpu and usb 3.0 pins search for a 90 degree header
Fire fire build, wayyyyy better than the other one

Where you find good sales for pc's?
Just my local second hand market apps :)
what do you do with the PC?
I try to sell them on the side if i can :)
How do i do the stress test '
I run Cinebench R23 Multi-Core stress test and Furmark at the same time :)
You have same case What ai have
that 1660 has more quda cores than that 1070
Why a 400w psu with a 1070😭😭 it’s gonna explode bro
A 1070 only uses 150W MAX, and the rest of the system sips power. It did fine in the stress tests too :D

Any idea guys??
I would just look up your model with "PSU adapter", and see if there are any 24-pin adapters for your model :)
