While I don't know if I will agree it has "no" lag, the lag it has is minimal and doesn't affect me too much when streaming.

Edit: For those wondering, I did buy a loop capture card and it works fine. Quality isn’t amazing but it certainly isn’t horrible though (around 720p), I definitely recommend buying one if you want to start recording/streaming. 👍

I tried this method following the exact procedure but it seems that my obs and my tv started flickering. I saw the manual of the hdmi and it has a minimum system requirement, to be exact my specs didnt really meet those. i was wondering if that had anything to do with the flickering? I'm using a ps4 and running on intel 3 10th gen laptop, with nvdia graphics (mx230) thanks!

Hello I have the exact same capture card, although what baffled me was when you plugged everything in properly, audio was captured easily. For my case I have to use every default and custom settings just to get audio to come out of this capture card. It worked before which was awesome but I accidentally deleted my obs settings, so I lost whatever I used before, luckily I still remember it but it doesn't work anymore for some reason which is really annoying

This was very helpful! But the only issue I seem to have is once everything is connected both my second monitor and the OBS screen start to flicker on and off? I don't know how to make it stop. I've tried closing and reopening OBS, deactivating the USB video, removing the Video Capture source on OBS, I've even tried this with Steamlabs and it does the same?
Hello there the possible problem that there would be lacking patches on your os of your computer and pls. Check your video card for compatibility problems and also check your cables for damages that might be causing the flickering.

Hey, thanks for the video, it helped a lot and much easier to understand compared to others. Though at first I had no problem with it and connection went smooth but after my first try, never been able to connect the output port. I works well when it comes to screen my Mobile studio pro since it does not require an output but it now can't recieve signal from my Switch no matter what. I can see it on OBS but not on the actual screen. Do you have any advice for that?
Hello there thanks for watching the video. Usually you can reset the obs studio by removing the added tools that you put on the plus screen but if it still persist try to detached the cable connected to the dock of the switch and try to plug it again maybe the cable connection might be loose.

This video was very helpful and finally one I could understand! I do have a couple questions though. When playing, does it automatically record? If not, how do you record? And when the recording is done, does it go to your video files on your computer or does it go somewhere else?
Hello there thanks for watching and regarding on your question if your using the obs studio you need to click record it can be seen on the lower right corner of the screen on the obs and after the video has been recorded it well be saved on the videos folder.

Are the output to the TV and OBS at the same time? Because usually the output to the OBS is delayed making it a bit unplayable
Check your pc specs if its on a midrange to highended computer it will have no problem with the hdmi capture card but if for a orninary computer it might have some delay issues that you need to configure on the settings of your obs.
We took the long road but we got there lol dope video helped a lot

The lag would be minimal and wouldn't notice it when playing so for me its good and about playing it without the tv yes you can.

The capture card you have is fine and will be good for the ps4 you dont need to buy another one like mine all capture cards are almost the same in function as of this point and regarding in the ps4 you need to go to its settings to allow your capture card to be detected by the ps4 and that about it.

Hey there if the quality of you video capturing also depends on your computers specs to make it possible for it to capture 1080p and using the obs studio is also a good recording app so you should check it out.

Hello there thank you for watching my video and regarding on your question. The Hdmi capture card can be use only on a hdmi console or any device that is using the hdmi cables. The ps2 doesn't have an hdmi cable so it might not capture any videos from it.
My card will be here in about 2 hours hope it goes this smooth for me as well (Update)

Can anyone help with the audio part?
I made a new source that captures the audio from the capture card itself, but it doesn't go to the computer(I dont hear it with the headphones connected to my PC)
So I instead made the audio output mode from the source that displays the capture card to default but theres a 1 second delay
How would you go about only using your laptop screen and the switch? Do you plug in both usb and hdmi into the laptop, while the switch is plugged In from hdmi? I don't need a second monitor or TV?
If someone could explain how the wires go that would be great. I tried putting both in, hdmi from switch into laptop and usb from the device into laptop at the same time and I can't find the capture card coming up on OBS.
Hello there if you just want to play on the computer screen you nned the hdm to be connected to tge dock an plug it to the capture card in the input slot then plug tge usb cable from the video capture card and phllug it to your computer then use obs studio you can now play your switch there
Mine when I stream the audio gets all weird and the audio has a ton of delay after and on stream the video sometimes lags, I restart obs and it goes back but it happens again, any way to fix?, maybe turning down from 60 fps? Or somthing

Hello there no you can use the main monitor of the computer to play tge games and thev or 2nd monitor is just an option.

Hello well using a splitter will not do anything because the dock has a function that is recognised by the switch to project its image to the t. V I also tried it but it doesnt to anything. You really need to connect it to the switch dock.

You can also check if your cables are ok also check if the hdmi cables are plug in properly.

Hello there regarding about the glitch it might be cause of cables not being plug in properly or cable problems try using obs stream labs if it doesn't work on obs studio and it works with normal computers with minimal specs and laptops. Or also check your switch dock if tge cables are all plugged in.

Yes you can use it on the computer directly but if your planning on playing it on the tv you'll have to use an hdmi splitter to transmit the other cable to the tv

Hello there in streaming straight from the computer it can be possible to stream without the video capture card but if your planing to record your videos on streaming I suggest that having a capture card is essential especially for recording videos of gameplay and streaming. Regarding on the video capture card there are a lot of of various of video capture card and most of them is just plug and play and easy to use and the reason some video capture cards that isn't detected by the pc is because the cables is either not plug correctly or it might be faulty or the the cable is not strong enough to send a connection from the gaming console to the pc so just check on those pointers but if it still doesn't work check on the console itself it might have a loose connection with the cables or its not inserted properly.
@@Infoblitz101 I was trying to stream to fb, all i had was a black screen. I couldn't get my game inside of obs. The game is already downloaded on the computer. Call of duty Mobile.. it gave me like 3 options to choose from, neither one of those worked. I'm gonna try the capture card with obs using my ps4 in a few.. Hopefully it works🤞🏾.. Yes I think your stream will be good in a setup like that but always consider the device is not that perfect it will have some small problems but its easy to fix.

Hello there the capture card can be use in two ways. One is with only with one monitor just plug the cable comming from the main console to the input slot and tgen just plug the usb to the computer and your good to go. The out put is used for the 2nd monitor or tv if evet your gonna use a tv for playing while recording.

I have a Nikon COOLPIX P 530 Compact Digital Camera and I want to get connect the Camera to do Presentations via the OBS Studio. In my above camera, there is HDMI mini connector (Type C). At this point what is the Cable that I must buy for a smooth workflow? My main aim is instead of the Laptop's in-built camera I want to use my Compact Digital Camera for a very quality video recording. I will buy Two HDMI Cables. Yes that is correct you need certain cables for it to connect to the hdmi capture card and just add the device inside the obs studio and your ready to go.

Hello there yes if you going to use it on a single computer it will really have no sound but if you connect it to a second monitor like the tv you will be able to play and hear the sound

@@jadenpaber1952 actually no, you just have to change a setting under sound/audio, I don't have a MacBook or know how the settings go, but there must be a sound/audio setting on Mac.
On pc I would click on sound settings in the dialog box saying 'sound' click the 'recording' column, scroll down and right click on 'digital audio interface', click 'properties', in the dialog box saying 'digital audio interface properties' click the 'listen' column, then check the 'listen to this device' box, click apply and OK. The console audio would start playing on your pc at this point.
If you disconnect the setup and reconnect, finding that the audio is gone again, just follow the above steps again but this time, uncheck the 'listen to this device' click apply and OK, then click into the 'listen' column again recheck the box, apply and click OK.
If the settings interface is similar on Mac, you may be able to find the listen to device option then both hear and record the audio. Hope this helps save you a few bucks

Hello bro sorry I haven't explained the sound setup because you really need a 2nd monitor for you to hear your gameplay thats why it has a loop.

One last thing that you can do, is by using remoteplay on pc to stream ps4 with audio. Too bad I have a low end pc and it's too slow to run remoteplay.
