You’re awesome! You helped me figured out how to get the sound coming out using the HDMI capture card connected with Firestick. After spending time couple of days researching in RUclips videos, I was just about to give up and return the item for a refund. Your tip about going to Sound setting in Windows system finally got the audio sound working. It’s not big deal but evidently it locks the volume and I couldn’t adjust it. Now I know that the capture card is not a simple plug-n-play and the OBS software instructions aren’t precise in troubleshooting issues like audio.
By the way, I have installed Windows 10 in my Intel-based Mac. Now that I got it working, but it’ll be nice to get the Mac IOS working too. So far, I don’t see any switches on IOS Sound setting like the Windows so maybe you can help me out.

Even after i have Audio Input Capture, i cant see any audio levels at the bottom, or anything he does, it doesnt affect my audio status. The audio still is unhearable. Video capture audio doesnt work nomatter what i do. If anyone understands my problem, kindly guide me. Thank you.

If I have a Xbox and I want to use the first method with just setting my audio input as audio interface will I be able to record my Xbox audio as well as be able to hear it through my headset which is connected to my Xbox controller or will it just come through the pc

I haven't tried this again but when I had my Blue Yeti Nano plugged in and enabled as well as the Digital Audio Interface the recording was very fuzzy and had a lot of feedback. Any solutions to this? Note I was using the default windows camera instead of obs

Hi Jimmy,I bought a similar type capture device on Amazon and it's not exactly the same but the same system & ports,so I'm just wondering is this setup pretty much universal to most of the lower end capture devices? I'm hoping to record from my old droid box or FS I got a splitter from years ago luckily

Very good tutorial. It's the only tutorial that shows you how to do it without the odd delay. Only problem is the long intro bit without a timestamp and I couldn't make it so I can hear the audio but I'll keep looking. Thanks!

So, I tried this and neither way worked, but I'm thinking maybe it's cuz my mic is a USB mic and not one that plugs into the mic port? Also how do you film yourself AND record gameplay? my camera app keeps saying other apps/programs are open using the camera when there aren't.

Thank you! I've been struggling all day to get audio from my camera to the capture card to OBS. The second option you presented works! There is an echo, but I'll see if there is a fix for that.
Not sure why the audio feed from the camera is not registering to OBS. Frustrating.
I'm glad i could help! It could be that you are recording the sound from the first method so you might have to mute the audio source and that might get rid of the echo if not let me know and we can hop on a zoom call or something and i can help you configure your device.

Question.. if you route the audio to your headphones this way, won't the audio have a latency when your playing the game on your xbox? The same way the video would have latency without a splitter redirecting the video to a display prior to hitting the capture card?
They way i see it is the capture card itself has a delay 47ms but since you aren't waiting for the audio to be processed on screen which would take another 50ms it is unnoticeable when listening to it
Is that any video for macOS? I use that capture card with m1 Mac but unfortunately ı cannot hear audio without obs.

On the audio properties of the sound there on the toggle u can set the sound to not mute out to listen to audio of game or u can also when u add the capture card scroll all the way down after choosing the capture card and enable audio sound where it say sound only , that will also fix the problem, if audio delay then add separate audio input and just enable sound out put on obs toggle audio options and se able the audio on capture card page

How do you get stereo sound? I capture xbox. Windows outputs 1 channel only. I can't use stereo mix with the capture device.
I can't seem to get audio input in OBS any tips? I can hear the game sound but OBS does not pick it up

Hi, if you connect your gaming headset (one with a built-in microphone) to your laptop/PC to listen to the game audio, can you also use the same mic for streaming?
Yeah you actually still can as long as you set up the audio in input
I’m trying to stream warzone and it gets the game audio but it doesn’t get my microphone from the headset I’m using that is connected to my Xbox. Is there a way to fix it?

Any idea on what I could be doing wrong? I am using a splitter and tried all different USB ports on my PC and even switched HDMI cables but nothing seems to be working. Thanks!
