Thanks for your videos and being truthful about your experience. I start ATP in August and these videos help and kinda calm the nerves a little.

Luke! What’s up man, appreciate you for updating us man!
I understand that you studied for your Private Pilot license before starting flight school at ATP. But the question that I had was if you could study for all the FAA Exams before joining a flight school.
Private Pilot, Instrument, Single engine, multi engine, flight instructor CFII those licenses.
    Thanks bro!

What's up man, yes you can study and take the written knowledge exams for everything before you start the program. My latest reel talks about it!

What's weird is that the 3rd and 4th week, that's when the info and skillset starting meshing in. Comms too became substantially easier.
1st tol eval was last week, cross winds at 9 gusting at 19 and my lead was heavy. Also to note the DA sucked. 120lbs under max weight. 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨

Hi Luke, thanks for the videos! I've started online ground school and hoping to start at FLT academy in Bountiful next spring! I was curious about your simulator set up in the background and at what point you recommend getting that in the training process? I've read that it's a helpful tool, but want to time the investment

Of course. Glad they help! Here is the one I have. It works with Xbox and I'd say its been fun to have but not 100% necessary for training. I got it before I started my program. Here is a link amzn.to/4cVpKXq

@@FlyWithLukeD $175 was wet without instruction. Instruction was extra $65. However my part 61 CFI had over 5,000 hours.
