    I really recommend you either put on a stock GE oil pump or modified the GTE pump ... You're going to have front seal problem like crazy I promise you been there done that learn from my mistake

    • @MaxFuller
      @MaxFuller  Год назад +4

      Why is that?
      Everyone I know runs the gte pump with no issues 🤷🏼‍♂️

      @@MaxFuller You said you know guys who's running the GTE oil pump on the GE but I can bet you don't know as much guys as me who run into that problem.. when I replace the pump with a modified pump my problem went away.. depends how much power you're trying to make and from the looks of it you have stock main caps and main bolt You should be able to run a stock OEM GE vvti oil pump with no problem

    • @MaxFuller
      @MaxFuller  Год назад +3

      Fair enough haha well it’s on there now 😂 will have to see what happens, if it leaks I will get ge modified one 👌🏼 I’m only going to run 450-500whp

    Hey mate! Awesome video! I was wondering if you have to check the clearances for the crank and cam bearings(where they seat on). I had an mx5 before and you had to check the clearances. Is it also the case in 2jz ? I am planning to build my own engine as well. I’m handy and I’m an automotive engineer but never had a chance to experience this. So any tip is welcome. And also as I asked before, what about the clearances ?

    When you timed it, were you not worried about the valves hitting the pistons? I’m about to time mine and I’m struggling with the idea of how to do it. Should I take the cams out and time the crank first?

    • @MaxFuller
      @MaxFuller  Год назад +1

      Depends what pistons you have, I have gte pistons, they are non interference, so they will never hit the valves

      @@MaxFuller gotcha. Okay that makes sense. I bought wiseco pistons so hopefully they’re similar in that sense. Thanks man!

    What is the clearances gap for the piston rings that you used becouse every one do it diferent but i make it the same build you do i am little confuse with that

    • @MaxFuller

      They will be different for every engine depending on the wear of the block, I can’t remember the tolerances, easy to find on Google

    you don't have to do all that drama. we pushed a bone stock non vvti NA-T to 830 whp and did a 10 second. all we did was put a thicker gasket to handle more boost. the engine lived forever but my buddy had a fully built 2jzgte and couldn't just wait for the na to die so we pulled it out
