The days of "needing" the "GTE" or "Supra" are over to achieve high reliable horsepower, you can get a 2jzge-vvti and do the same thing cheaper. Actually the ge-vvti head is preferred over the gte.

      I made 913 whp through the getrag 6 speed with just a new OEM head gasket, arp headstuds and cheao eagle rods. Everything else in the motor was stock and untouched. Later I put gsc s2 cams, springs, MR2 shimless buckets and made bit over 1000whp. I did 191.4mph in the half mile in 5th gear. They are just too expensive to build now with all the hype and inflation. Although I prefer the inline 6 turbo sound, I would rather build an LS motor. They are plentiful in the U.S. and a lot cheaper.

    This is the most informative video I've ever seen on the 2JZ or any motor. I thought I would get schooled Big time and feel dumb as dumb could be. But @ 50.8 years old I understand everything your saying. I'm disabled and have a sentimental nissan 200sx that needs to be rebuilt. But no one wants to touch it. All I'm asking is a all wheel drive conversion and an RB with a single turbo and a 6 speed tranny. I'm a retired welder and fabricator. I can do the clearance work for the tunnel. The car is special because I bought it because I had my daughter on the way and she turned out to be a Hospice nurse. Yeah the last person the elderly will see. She's been there done that. I'm caring for my elderly father. He lives with me and man OH man is it missaribel. But I love him and it's my job. I have to do my job as a son and I wish I could find someone willing to rebuild my dream car. If you even read this I thank you..............

The Dart 2jz is going to be wild. 4 bolt billet mains, dumb thick deck, tons of head bolt threads starting below the deck. If i could get my mess together or hit the lotto the Dart 2j would be it. • @slopoke22
      @slopoke22 10 месяцев назад +1

      Anytime you can improve airflow from both sides of the seat cut contact its better, which is usually a 3 angle job cut that most every machine shop now does. But, they all generally put a 30/45/60 cut on the seat, which will improve it a lil bit over what it was. Just think about the valve and seat @0.050" lift

    • @slopoke22
      @slopoke22 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@motoiq maybe on the exhaust side of things. Definitely not better on the intake. If it's just the cut alone, it would be negligible, just like the standard 3 angle. Yes, it'll improve a few cfm. If 3 more cuts only are involved, it will improve significantly. If you blend, then there is lots of improvement

    • @motoiq
