Don't you love these "experts" who put up videos (such as this) when they have never done the job before. Like that is such good advice... "I don't know what size (whatever) is,..." Time wasters.

Regardless of what others have said, this is NOT a difficult job. You need a T20 Torx bit in a magnetic bit holder. Once you get that cover off, yank out the old filter whatever way works. The new filter squeezes together and the regains its shape with a little wiggling when you get it in the slot. There is an arrow that should point to the REAR of the car or alternatively, those foam sealing pieces are on the forward part of the side strips. Replace the access panel with the smoother side in, ribbed side out (as I found out) and the top seated against a pin. Replace that screw (if you can). I ended up using a similar size hex head sheet metal screw as our Titanium model had some floor insulation that had to be held back by a 6" long magnetic driver making it impossible to use fingers or that T20 bit. Real actual time for this first time was too long with my tool and finger fumbles but it shouldn't take more then 15 minutes the second time. I used a WIX Filters - 24419. I can hardly wait to do my F150 now ;-[

You didn’t mention which way the filter goes in. There is an arrow on it

I have better air flow with the filter arrow pointing towards the front of the car. This would be incorrect following many RUclips directions. Anyone else experiencing the same issue? I literally have any air flow when a new filter is installed with the arrow pointing towards the rear of the car. Very frustrating.🤨

Such BullSh*t that Ford chose to use a Torx screw to hold on the access piece. The average Joe doesn't have a Torx bit set. I'd just yank the old filter out and not put another in. Cars didn't have these filters until now. Just another government mandated gimmick.
