Your's works so much better than mine. I just got mine and I think that it's janky ❤

I've heard they can be pretty hit or miss. Using the weight definately helps mine.

I didn't have much luck with mine the gears stripped and I had to send it back. Maybe I had a bad egg lol
From my brief time with it though it worked well, keep the weight up right under the hole when starting and they say to keep the top on when knitting which I did, but looks like it works ok without.
Hope yours lasts but keep to the thinner yarns.

I definately plan on only using thinner yarns with it. Now to decide what to make!

Wow! I worked with mine and worked And worked and worked! I barely could do anything with it and I had been knitting with all sorts of other addis and off brand knitting machines for years! They sure are expensive for Being so touchy! I just gave up. What a waste of money...... I'm glad you could get it to work.

I have heard of a lot of people having issues with these. Usually using a smaller yarn like a 2 or 3 helps

I'm having enough trouble trying to get my other addi machines to work. I probably won't get one of these.

I had a lot of trouble with this when I first got it so I put it aside for a couple years and just resurrected it. And now it is working. I did do a couple of things that I can offer as tips. First, I cut most of the top off of the little thing that the yarn feeds through; now I can just lay the yarn in it instead of having to find some way to feed it through. That's a lot easier. I think it might decrease the tension a bit but I always use it with the top on and I think that helps it. Also, I stopped using the weight that it came with. I never liked it because it was hard to get it to stay in the little tube. Now I just use fishing weights with paper clips in them. The paper clips have one end slightly unbent and they hook in the tube easily. If I'm just starting out I'll use two but as the tube gets longer it will add some weight and then I can get away with just one. I've made several tubes with it, each one at least a couple yards long, and I've had no trouble, which is kind of amazing because when I first got this thing it barely worked at all. Now I'm just wishing I could remove the legs because they're in the way; in fact, the whole reason I watched this video was because I couldn't remember if it came with the legs attached and if it did I might have broken it trying to get them off. Now that I see that the legs came separately I've tried to pull them out but so far, no luck. I may just have to leave them. One last thing - always use weights with these little machines. The bigger ones do fine without weights but these little ones don't - the tube/cord will bunch up around the needles and tangle. I hope that helps.

I would either make or purchase a weight then. The egg machine works so much better with a weight attatched to the yarn
