Thank you, thank you, thank you Karen. I got my Addi Egg yesterday, got straight on it and got in a world of hurt. So checked out videos on you tube and another vid said the exact opposite of what you are saying. I tried and failed again. Then I found your vid and straight away, I have mastered it using your instructions. I was ready to send it back thinking it must be faulty, but you have saved my Addi Egg. You are awesome. God Bless xx
Love the video! Just got an Addi egg. Love it! The Add egg worked perfectly thanks to this video. I used Red Heart Super saver 4 ply yarn. Thank you for all your help.
I wish I would’ve seen this video when I first bought my addi egg! Instead I put it away completely frustrated, where it sat for two years. Today I watched and followed along and VOILA! It worked! Thank you thank you!
I love the egg. If you read the instruction booklet before starting, it all makes sense and comes together. The one thing they don’t tell you is to hold the bottom cord taught as you move the egg up. That is crucial 👍
I'm late to the addi party just got my egg yesterday and about threw it away it was sooo frustrating. Thank u for making this video it was amazing. I'll forgive my egg and try again 🤣
This is brilliant. Thank you for sharing your process! My egg gets here in a few days and I am sure to have a better time with it now that I've watched your video.
You did this video 3 yrs ago, l'm watching this tutorial, it's now 2/2023. I now have the Addi 46 and 22. I have the Pyrm cord knitter, which anchors the table. Your tutorial is really good. I almost bought the Addi Egg. Your RUclips let me know that this gadget is a waste. Holding this while trying to turn the crank is no good At All.
Mine just arrived today. I knew I would not be able to treat this like my big Addis - it would be more like my Embellish Knit - but that didn't help much, it was still tucking stitches & required too much manual fixing. I decided it was time to check out some videos & started with yours. I'm sorry to say, your advice didn't help - it's still tucking, only with the lid on (it was off before) I can't do anything about that so basically I have a mess to deal with. I'm not ready to give up on it yet so I'll keep trying to get it to work, but I definitely do *not* recommend this to - well, anyone at this point. It doesn't work like a big Addi, it doesn't work like an EmbellishKnit; it's a weird kind of hybrid that's going to be a challenge for most people. I can offer one tip. I used a utility knife to cut a slit in the little thing you feed the yarn thru. Now I don't have to struggle with that. I wish everything else about this was as easy to fix.
I have an embellish knit and have never gotten it to work even after watching several videos and following their advice. There’s always a needle or two that just won’t work correctly. I contacted the vendor I bought it from but no help there.
@@qltygrl3187 I can offer a couple of tips. The first one is, add some more weight. I bought some knitting machine claw weights for my big Addis and decided to try them with some #4 yarn, which the EmbellishKnit normally has trouble with, and that extra weight really helped. (That has also helped *a bit* with the Egg but not as much as I was hoping.) The second is, experiment with different kinds of yarn - sizes (#4, #3, crochet thread etc) and fiber content (acrylic, wool etc). Knitting machines in general can be finicky about what yarns they "like" but these two smaller ones are even pickier; there may be yarns that will go smoothly through the machine and others that will get stuck no matter what you do. If the machine is really defective then you'll probably know that for sure if you try these things and it still doesn't work right. Good luck.
thanks for the inspiration. made my first cord last night. Went back tonight and yep I just broke a needle. If anyone knows where to get replacement right now I'd appreciate it.
Amazon has them, I just saw them, I think it was 2 to a pack, also Michael’s had them, not sure about now, edited to say , That I just looks again, there is 1 red needle and 4 off the hooked ones from inside the machine, on Amazon.
You prolly dont give a shit but if you're stoned like me atm then you can stream pretty much all the new movies and series on instaflixxer. I've been binge watching with my gf recently =)

'Don't stick your finger in the hole'. That had me chuckling.
That thing is $40! Does it do anything besides an Icord?
Can you use a 4weight yarn? Tks
i did what u said lid on but still droped stitches and how do u move the weight later
hod did u cast of with out the loops
I am trying to decide if I want to try again, maybe I got a bad egg.
We did this as children, but cannot remember what we made out of them, other than long rope like things..🤷♀️any ideas, for if I buy one for my niece?
My 1st worked fine - removed project then tried to make another of the same n bunching up - idk how to fix it ugh
Great help! What yarn do you think work best? I am struggling to find the right type/ balance. Any suggestions would be appreciated. 😊
I was using bernat premium. I find i have less issues with this yarn
@@myaddi4874 thank you so much!! That is very helpful. I am disabled &it is difficult for me to go back & forth to keep check in. etc.

Ebay might have parts for the addi egg
Amazon has them, I just saw them, I think it was 2 to a pack, also Michael’s had them, not sure about now, edited to say , That I just looks again, there is 1 red needle and 4 off the hooked ones from inside the machine, on Amazon.
🤣, got your finger stuck! Sounds like something I would do!

@Tripp Lorenzo Yup, been watching on InstaFlixxer for since december myself =)
I find cotton does not work well.
did all what u did either still lost stitches o lots of loops like u said
A minha nao funciona bem. Embaraça a lã.
I won't get that loom
I don't know why anyone would buy this. I have french knitters of different sizes and you can make icords on the actual Addi.
How do you make Icords on the regular Addi
@TheSunRiseKid Basically a really short panel. Far more time consuming and it's not an actual I cord. Just a curled panel.
This thing is junk and I wish I could return it. Overpriced and doesn’t work.
I’ll buy it from you!
