Wow! This tutorial is a complete course on manual sailing! I have watched tons of videos but never understood how the actual mechanic works until I watched your guide! Now that I understand everything what's going on with my ship at any given moment I'm able to control it 100% and go and do whatever I want it to do! It has changed my gaming so much. Its the first time in 2 months of playing NA I feel that I really know what I'm doing! Thank you so very much man! I thought I was hopeless haha. My PVP is now so much more improved and PVE is piece of cake! Thank you, captain!
@@jorgealbertomantillagongor2033 This is tutorial on manual sailing for the game called Naval Action, which is to date is one of the most realistic tall ship sailing simulators. Though limited in lots of actual tall ship manoeuvres in general it is very close to how those ships were sailed and controlled. This is why there are lots of people who play this game purely for the joy of sailing such class ship in the open sea and are not interested in the gameplay itself
Thank you sir! I no longer play NA, but have never uninstalled it :)) Sometimes nostalgia of the great old days brings me back for a day or two. Who knows, maybe the same nostalgia will make me do another content for the players like the Mastery of Tactical Cannons :D
@@ringmasterblaze For someone who grinded to top rank number of times with over 10k play hours its getting pretty old do it over and over every 3 months or so on the Caribbean server :)
Just thought I would add something to your naming of sides. In the days when these ships were sailing the Port side was know as Larboard Side. It wasn’t till February 18th 1846 that Larboard became Port, as it was too easily confused with starboard.
Good piece of info thanks! Just keep in mind this is not a "history" accurate video. This is a tutorial for a video game, which is not a sailing simulator and is not historically accurate though quite realistic. Cheers
Thank you so much I was taught way wrong the tutorial I saw the guy said you make an arrow with your sail's in the direction your turning it is faster than auto skipper but the ai make me look bad let alone a player well done make it very clear and understandable ya earned a like and sub hope ya got more like this gonna check now well wishes and thanks again sir
Gybing (or jibing) is the term used specifically for the fore-to-aft ships only, as you cant change the course downwind on a tall ship by switching Jibs only. The manuever to change the course downwind on a tall ship is called Wearing. Refer to this video for more information. Cheers. ruclips.net/video/lqsdKqcX8O4/видео.html
@@koltes3930 yeah fella I should have a look in and see how the game changed. Hope you are well and staying safe. I feel like a prisoner in Hong Kong not travelled for over a year and half. Feels like a life time ago since we played.
Since fore-and-aft rigging ships are much easier to tack with most people dont bother with manual sailing when sailing them. Watching this tutorial and understanding how wind affects your ship you can apply same techniques on schooners. All it is is that you need to rotate your ship around its own pivot point using the wind and sails.
hi, i have difficulties to beat the fist ship in tutorial please provide a guide video please i just pass the first page 4 tutorial, but next to the 2nd page, first tutorial to sank the enemy ship, ( 30 seconds to prepare and you have to sank him in 10 mins) that quest is so difficult please show us how to defeat htem please....ty :) deeply apprecaited
Hi, there are quite a few tutorials that teach how to pass the exams. You should not however rush into it. Just learn the game. If you dont know how to pass it then you probably shouldnt be able to. Take your time and learn the game. Get some practice and experience and then it will be a breeze
More than 50% of your attention should be paid to bottom left corner of your screen where the arrow indicator is located. All your moves needs to be done in accordance to your position to the wind. While your ship is turning - watch the wind. While you tacking - watch the wind. When you position your ship against enemy - watch the wind. Cant stress it enough. Soon it will become second nature like changing gears on manual transmission car
Captains, the timestamps were added in the description for your convenience in case you wanted to return to this video and recap a specific subject.

You are most welcome captain! Sail dangerously!
Well done. This is the best Manual Sailing tutorial I have seen.
