In this video I will show you a method that will allow anyone with minimal skills to sink an AI ships that are 2 rates stronger than your own ship, therefore giving you a fantastic experience gain boost. Twitch channel (Port Battles, Open world hunting, Patrol Zone) - www.twitch.tv/koltes37

Pirate Renommee vs GB Constitution and Frigate
Просмотров 1637 лет назад
Another tag between La Navasse and Kingston Port Royal. Quickly scanning targets revealed that Connie had only 30% crew on board. Frigate was a fearsome opponent on his own, but if I could take him out fast I had a chance of getting both of them.

Awesome tutorial. Errata, the maneuver on which the boat changes wind direction downwind is called "Gybing", not "Veering".
Gybing (or jibing) is the term used specifically for the fore-to-aft ships only, as you cant change the course downwind on a tall ship by switching Jibs only. The manuever to change the course downwind on a tall ship is called Wearing. Refer to this video for more information. Cheers. ruclips.net/video/lqsdKqcX8O4/видео.html
Excellent explanation. Very well done.
Thank you sir!
Great tutorial, thank you!
Thank you back, sir! Glad you found it helpful!
I dare u to do this in the f2p server now
Games evolve. Guides become obsolete. Expected
every time i go into battle i seem to suddenly start going against the wind
More than 50% of your attention should be paid to bottom left corner of your screen where the arrow indicator is located. All your moves needs to be done in accordance to your position to the wind. While your ship is turning - watch the wind. While you tacking - watch the wind. When you position your ship against enemy - watch the wind. Cant stress it enough. Soon it will become second nature like changing gears on manual transmission car
1 day old beginner here . Very Awesome tutorial. Thank you ! 🙏
Thank you sir! Enjoy the game while you can :)
@@koltes3930 Doing that :) .
This is the best tutorial I've ever seen! If you're still around, I would love to see a gunnery tutorial.
Thank you sir! I no longer play NA, but have never uninstalled it :)) Sometimes nostalgia of the great old days brings me back for a day or two. Who knows, maybe the same nostalgia will make me do another content for the players like the Mastery of Tactical Cannons :D
@@koltes3930 The new Caribbean server is pretty hoppin' if you should decide to return.
@@ringmasterblaze For someone who grinded to top rank number of times with over 10k play hours its getting pretty old do it over and over every 3 months or so on the Caribbean server :)
@@koltes3930 fair enough
well done, thank you
Thank you kindly!
Just thought I would add something to your naming of sides. In the days when these ships were sailing the Port side was know as Larboard Side. It wasn’t till February 18th 1846 that Larboard became Port, as it was too easily confused with starboard.
Good piece of info thanks! Just keep in mind this is not a "history" accurate video. This is a tutorial for a video game, which is not a sailing simulator and is not historically accurate though quite realistic. Cheers
For me this is key to win pvp
Thanks you very much dude, im gonna save this video
You are most welcome sir!
I do not play the game but was always interested in sailing ships. This is by far the best content on how these ships are controlled!
How about manual sailing for schooners (non-square rigged ships)
Since fore-and-aft rigging ships are much easier to tack with most people dont bother with manual sailing when sailing them. Watching this tutorial and understanding how wind affects your ship you can apply same techniques on schooners. All it is is that you need to rotate your ship around its own pivot point using the wind and sails.
hi, i have difficulties to beat the fist ship in tutorial please provide a guide video please i just pass the first page 4 tutorial, but next to the 2nd page, first tutorial to sank the enemy ship, ( 30 seconds to prepare and you have to sank him in 10 mins) that quest is so difficult please show us how to defeat htem please....ty :) deeply apprecaited
Hi, there are quite a few tutorials that teach how to pass the exams. You should not however rush into it. Just learn the game. If you dont know how to pass it then you probably shouldnt be able to. Take your time and learn the game. Get some practice and experience and then it will be a breeze
Wow you still around??? I miss the days off the Black Flag. 7G ruined that for us though
What was your in-game name mate?
Wow! This tutorial is a complete course on manual sailing! I have watched tons of videos but never understood how the actual mechanic works until I watched your guide! Now that I understand everything what's going on with my ship at any given moment I'm able to control it 100% and go and do whatever I want it to do! It has changed my gaming so much. Its the first time in 2 months of playing NA I feel that I really know what I'm doing! Thank you so very much man! I thought I was hopeless haha. My PVP is now so much more improved and PVE is piece of cake! Thank you, captain!
Glad it improved your gameplay and the enjoyment of the game!
@@koltes3930 gameplay? this is not for real sailing? lol
@@jorgealbertomantillagongor2033 This is tutorial on manual sailing for the game called Naval Action, which is to date is one of the most realistic tall ship sailing simulators. Though limited in lots of actual tall ship manoeuvres in general it is very close to how those ships were sailed and controlled. This is why there are lots of people who play this game purely for the joy of sailing such class ship in the open sea and are not interested in the gameplay itself
People must watch videos like this several times before play.
Thanks mate :) Glad you found it useful!
Very good
I like this mate.
Cheers 🍻 I need to duel you more mate 😁
Captains, the timestamps were added in the description for your convenience in case you wanted to return to this video and recap a specific subject.
Thank you so much I was taught way wrong the tutorial I saw the guy said you make an arrow with your sail's in the direction your turning it is faster than auto skipper but the ai make me look bad let alone a player well done make it very clear and understandable ya earned a like and sub hope ya got more like this gonna check now well wishes and thanks again sir
Wow, thanks for the kind words! Very glad you found this helpful!
Very helpful.
Thank you cap! Enjoy!
well done mate, Norfolk
Cheers mate! Long time no see :)
@@koltes3930 yeah fella I should have a look in and see how the game changed. Hope you are well and staying safe. I feel like a prisoner in Hong Kong not travelled for over a year and half. Feels like a life time ago since we played.
That's a great, detailed tutorial. I thought I understood manual sailing, but I learned so much.
Thank you sir for your kind words! Enjoy!
TY, best sailing guide! Was very helpful!
First try I get a damn Wasa that kicks my ass because the piece of crap can turn almost as fast as me and is only a bit slower, managed to get him to 2/5ths before i had to retreat
With a fast turning ships you either need to master manual sailing to be able to turn in time or simply run away and start new mission. Thankfully you have never ending supply of them
@@koltes3930 well i do know how to manually turn fast, even then the bastard still managed to either get far enough to hit me with half his broadside or end up in a T in which he would just ram me and then board me. Undercrewed trinco doesn't do very well tbh, and i won't be wasting my time with wasas again... having carronades could have worked too but I'm broke
@@sheogorath979 What can I say... I have killed Wasas without much problems using these technique mate
I think what u need is to position ur ship in a way such that when the wasa turns he will run against the wind sooner than u do, then u have a chance to deliver that stern rake
Sorta works. The AI doesn't always wanna cooperate though
It depends how fast it is. Pavels and Wasa from top of my memory dont like to cooperate, but 3rd rates, Christians, Belonas, any 1st rates are good as they dont turn as well. If you work his sails down then he will "cooperate" as you will be able to get away from him and reset. Good luck
Awesome!!! Crystal clear explanation
Thank you, cap! Enjoy!
Great Video....I love it when you played it in a speeded up rate then back to normal to instruct again.
Thank you, it worked.
As a new player to Naval Action, this was literally game changing for me. Thank you so much for taking the time to make this excellent tutorial.
You are most welcome captain! Sail dangerously!
Nice Vid. Thank you
Well done. This is the best Manual Sailing tutorial I have seen.
Thank you sir!
I was startled to see a name I recognize from Eve Online, but this is an *outstanding* tutorial . Thanks for taking the time to make this!
Thank you for your kind words, sir! Enjoy ☺️ I will do my best to get the advanced sailing video done soon
Can I add a link to this video in next revision of the Naval Action User Manual?
Sure no problem
CoRlene, is still salty XD
Nice video. Even if I wrecked your forestaysails while chaining a USA captain (oops). Pushing another first rate out of the way of mortar strikes is a trick worth remembering!
Man watching the Connie get raked cut into muh soul
RIP me, good video though
