I found this game when it was in it's alpha phase a long time ago and after playing for so long I ended up losing interest. Just recently I started getting back into the game and it changed so much it was like a whole new game for me. This explanation was very helpful in learning how the new system works. Thank you.

Hey, came to your channel after you left your comments on Michael's channel. This video here is exceptional. I am a Vice Admiral and learnt a ton watching this. The devs don't do a good job of communicating how their game works at all. It is a real struggle piecing everything together. These vids are gold! Cheers 🍺

@@handforged8591 - it would be fantastic if you could put more vids out on Navel Action as there are not many people that have the skill stack to make a good video, you are particularly easy to follow and just bring it to life. The game needs your help as there are not many vids on the go. Your right, life just gets in the way lol..... anyway, best wishes 👍
A low risk doubloon maker is taking passengers around. If you get it right you can get 2,400 doubloons on one trip. And you learn the geography. Use a traders lynx. Remember sail alongside an AI fleet on the way out of home port and use the wind boosts, especially going in to a port!
Going to need to make an update on this. Eco missions are no longer worth it has it is about 0.3 to 0.4 as profitable time-wise vs before, the markets are now flooded with repairs as everyone trying to make money that way which worked for a while but now most people make their own so it's now a very slow market. It just seems there is no real way of making good money now, I've been stuck at between 500K and 1 million ever since the update and can't seem to make any money now. So frustrating. And because I can't make money, I can't get new or upgrade any of my buildings. They seriously nerfed eco missions too much with no good alternative to replace it. I also tested normal trade goods, still not worth it and they weigh 100 so can't carry many of them. So stupid, they should have buffed other things and nerfed eco far less than they did.

Is this game worth it to start getting into for PVE? Ive been debating and researching for a long time and it is such a mixed bag as whether it is worth it or not.
Playing on the PVE server is quite fun if you can find a good group to play with. A few of my buddies and I play there quite a bit. But if you want to fight PVE on the war serve...no...it's not worth it.
Thanks Arma! I really enjoy playing Medieval Engineers. It is a time intensive game however, just like Naval Action. I don't see myself playing both right now. But I may very well get to it in the future. I definitely want to check out all of the changes they have made to the game.

We were in a large clan in Great Britain but got fed up with all of the drama that has permeated Great Britain. We don't know if we will join an existing clan in the Dutch Nation or create a new one. But you are welcome to play with us.
Since my previous comment (2 hours ago). I traded between 2 towns (Mortimer Town - Baracoa = 48k distance) and made 2Mil using trading tool (PVE server - i don't know if this makes a difference)
Thats a good question! If you're wondering if people still play this game, then the answer is yes. There is still a population of 100 to 500 players every day. If you're asking if the population is growing, or if I still play. Then the answer is no. Growth is backsliding. I love the game, but ever since the group of guys I played with stopped playing I don't see a reason. I still log on every few weeks to sell some stuff or empty buildings, but thats about it.
go cayman brac , capture 3 Trading Brig, then top right screen, set perks, make fleet, 3 brig go finish all cargo delivery and passenger mission done no need to talk so mcuh
I agree with you now Guillem. At the time I made this vedeo...trade was worthless. They had just released the passenger/doubloon missions and nerfed trade. But things are much more balanced now. Thanks for checking out the video.

Passenger Missions sounds like what i need still havent figured out how to play though , but now i know what i want to do.
if ur uk/us/rus/dutch u can sail a warship in ur own waters and have trade ships as escorts to deter privateer hassles.

Sadly, you are correct. However putting cannons on the ship is far less expensive that buying the ship AND putting cannons on it.

I agree! I often wonder if the devs enjoy seeing us suffer. Haha
how come your reward of your cargo missions are like 100k mine is around only 30k reward?
They've evidently updated the game since this video, cause I made most of my money trading short distances.

trading is profitable atm, i earned 1M in my first day with a fleet of trader brigs. didn't even need to go so far either with the trader tool

Wrong, trade is by far the easiest way to make money. 20-30 min journey with a profit of 500-700%, just use the trade tool.
