    Holiday Park is my home park and I'm so glad it is because I love Expedition Geforce to death.
    for me it's the overall ride experience and the details that make it so great that I even prefer it to untamed.
    besides the obvious awesome drop and great sustained ejector you already mentioned, it's the perfect balance of negative and positive G's, the trains, the lap bars and the re-rideability of this coaster that make it so great to me. I can marathon that thing all day and won't get tired of it, nor will it make me uncomfortable in any way or even hurt my legs.
    (like untamed for example did after several rides because of some aggressive parts in the return trip like the double up, double down or some other of the last ejector hills.)
    this and the fact that it's still so relevant and can compete with all the great new rides nearly 20 years after it was erected makes me so obsessed with this coaster.

    I just came from your DC Rivals review and I can see a lot of similarities as you pointed out. This would be up there, looks like a wicked first drop, superior airtime but DC Rivals does look to have slightly superior elements in my opinion. This sure is on my bucket list!

    Great review! I haven't ridden it, but I don't think I'd be wrong in suggesting that people try riding this in one of either two rows of the back car for a back seat experience, and less likely but also possibly one of the either of the 1st two rows of the front car for the opposite physical sensation the ride can provide (Like I did with Millennium Force during the only time I rode the front car when I rode in row 2 because the wait for row 1 wasn't worth the wait over row 2 in the same car.) Thanks for posting!

    • @CanobieCoaster
      @CanobieCoaster  2 года назад

      I agree the back 2 rows ride similarly. The front 2 rows have similar sensations to each other, but row 2 doesn't get the same rush of wind.

    • @Paolo8772
      @Paolo8772 2 года назад

      @@CanobieCoasterThat rush of wind messes up my hair. Then again, what coaster that goes faster than 23 MPH doesn't? ;) But seriously: my favourite FRONT row ride on a coaster is probably Leviathan. Now THAT'S a rush of wind! (I also rode Top Thrill Dragster in the back but never in the front.) Otherwise I'm usually more of a back car coaster enthusiast, with extremely rare exceptions. That's why I'd imagine the best ride on Expedition GeForce to be in any of the four seats that make up the last two rows in the back car.

    The strenght of the airtime blew my mind away, espacially on the smaller hills. But I defently prefere Kondaa, I also like Kondaa's drop more even though they are pretty similar and its first airtime hill gives way more sustained ejector airtime in the back row than EGF's. But EGF ist still awsome and my favourite coaster in Germany for sure and Kondaa is just the modern version of EGF😂

    Expedition GeForce is still my number one coaster ride experience wise. Probably because I love ejector airtime the most in coasters. Even though the setting isn't bad, with theming on for example Phantasialand level, this coaster would probably still be number one in most polls.

    • @CanobieCoaster

    Just came across this video once again... I've got to say: When I rode GeForce a couple of months ago, the intensity differed extremely between front and back row. On the bunny hills at the end of the ride, the airtime was maybe not stronger, but absolutely relentless in the back row. In the middle or front you could take a breath between the hills, but in the back you were either ejected from your seat, or pressed down.

    I find it kind of annoying that ejector air time seems to have become almost the only judging criterion for many coaster enthusiasts these days. While I certainly agree that Expedition Geforce is a very intense roller coaster ride, I never found it particularly enjoyable as it's more of a headache machine for me. It's a shame that some of the more relaxed and balanced roller coasters don't get the recognition they deserve.

    • @CanobieCoaster

    • @robertmuller1523
      @robertmuller1523 2 года назад

      @@CanobieCoaster Yes, I believe it's the abrupt negative Gs pushing the blood into the head. It's not like I always get a headache after riding such coasters once. But after riding 2-3x in quick succession on a warm day, I can be pretty sure. I never had this on a B&M hyper with their more gradually increasing negative Gs, and I also never had this from high positive Gs.

    I can say that this coaster seriously awesome and really that good. The Airtime is seriously that intense and good, even middle rows deliver.
    That Drop is spectacular and the whole layout is very good.
    If anyone says Geforce is overrated, they are wrong.
    I rode it in August for the first time and it literally shot up to my #1 spot during my first ride.
    The and only 2 complaints for me is:
    1: Expedition Geforce has only 1 train so it always runs on one-train-ops even on full days.
    2: Some of the restrains are pretty obvious singns of use since the padding on some restrains are a bit damaged which causes the thighs to hurt on strong airtime.
    Conclusion: They should get 1 new train and replace restraint padding on the existing train.

      They used to run 2 trains, but they had a time where the park was very low on visitors and was pretty much neglected in some areas, so my guess is that they took the second train for cheap parts.
