Actually that's how refueling worked in America for decades and to my knowledge you can still do it at most american gas stations (pump first, go inside and give your pump number). Source: I am old
EDIT: it appears that most stations now are prepay-only based on what I can find but there are definitely stations that work the old way.
Depends the state you live in. CA for example is pre-pay only.

i’m so here for Yannick(not sure if that’s how you spell his name) and Sarah singing Wonderwall.
I'm not sure why anyone would want to go to an Amusement park for just 2 hours, especially when you've only had 3 hours of sleep the night before. I'd never do it. Oh, and I'd never go to 2 parks in one day either.
Had to search through all of this series to find that awesome Wonderwall performance again. These vlogs just always make me smile, thanks for doing what you do.
US gas stations were like Europe's, 30 years ago before the US society started falling apart.

I have watched your channel and subscribed for about 6 months. I LOVE the fact you all give input and do not DROWN EACH OTHER OUT! So important to hear each version of the story! Holiday Park is part of the Plopsa Group, all of the characters you see (as well as in Plopsaland) are themed to the Belgian TV shows of Studio 100 for kids. The viking area is for example themed to Wickie the Viking.

there are a handful of unmanned prepay-stations in Germany, but usually you fill up and then go pay. They got you and your plate on camera so driving off makes very little sense.

I had the mystery gas station experience in Quebec. Also the first time in years that I had to speak any French to be understood and I was weirdly shy about doing it.
In my mind I think of Expedition GeForce as the German Superman: The Ride, so I imagine it'd be awesome in that way. But I don't know how that compares to the reality.

Hm. I guess 1974 "Vicky the Viking" wasn't a thing in the USA. I loved that cartoon when I was young.
The wiking land is so cute because it's themed after "Wicky", a German viking kids-tv show.

I'm going to agree with you on both Holiday Park and Expedition Geforce. Some say it used to run much faster in earlier years which explains its somehow "elite" status. You could say the same for Lightning Rod as that's now a pretty mediocre RMC unfortunately. It's that hype it needs to live up to and then don't quite deliver. Still great rides though. BTW as always, Sarah's singing voice is awesome.
It didn‘t run faster. Actually as they got rid of one of the trim brakes a couple years ago it runs faster than ever. I personally still prefer it over taron, kärnan or even Hyperion as a whole. It‘s just a better package for me personally 🤷♂️
I visited this park somewhere around 25-30 years ago🤣🤣🤣 it’s changed a lot and that’s good. But mega wirbel (or how it was named) was still there in the I guess the place where expedition GeForce is now. There is still a yellow track piece left of that old coaster ik the park
Superwirbel was at the location of sky scream. That was my first proper coaster waaaaaaay back. I still remember the headbanging though
The real question is: What's better, Holiday Park or Holiday World?

I've never done Expedition GeForce but going from the hype it probably used to be up there among the best but over the 10 years or so there have been so many amazing coasters built since. Its still a ride i'd like to do at some point though.
Exactly! What would it say about all the coaster manufacturers, if 20+ years old G-Force would still be one of the best coasters in the world? It's a legendary coaster, no doubt. And for enthusiasts it's kinda must have. But sure you shouldn't expect it to be overwhelming, if you've already ridden a top tier modern coaster. Ride that legend and be happy about it. It's still a very good and fun coaster after all. Just no world-beater anymore.
I'ts still my favourite ride, to be honest.. BUT I'm a huge sucker for strong ejector airtime.. And while it's my favourite, I have ridden better coasters. Back when it opened, I really do believe it was the worlds best steel coaster.. And I do think it deserved the top spot in the 10 or so years after.. But like you said, there's been almost like a hype in the last decade with so many awesome coasters that now it lacks behind.. Still for it's age it's insanely good

I love Expedition GeForce but i really dont like the Park, i will come Back tho one day for the Mack extreme spinner that i Think they will get
i really don't get it, your 1st review says "it's a front ride, 100% back row is meh" so it is normal that you find it underwhelming or overhyped it just feels like you didn't give it the respect you did 1st time around, not that affects me at all it just doesn't seem fair to compare the last trip to this one tho
Holiday Park looks smaller than I originally thought. I knew it didn't have that many roller coasters but I thought it would be bigger. I love Sarah's and Yonic's singing! Everything you saw on that trip from the long sausage on bread to what was on the road was hilarious 😂
I LOVE how you couldn't figure out how to get your diesel/petrol for the car!! 😅😅 Just paying in the shop seems crazy to Americans.
We did this park in July after a 5 hr Tripsdrilll whirlwind. Agree that the family coaster was cool, Exp GeForce was good, but not as good as Millenium, and the plane ride (flat ride) that is also available In Tripsdrill was a must try. This is definitely a 2-3 hr park for most US visitors. 1st half of the video was the best!

I would love CS to tour South America, but unfortunately they have nothing left there as far as roller coasters. Believe me.. I’m from Brazil and luckily I live in LA now, but the closest thing to experience a roller coaster as a Brazilian kid was watching POV RUclips videos.
I mean… at some point we had record inversion roller coaster named Monte Makaya, but that park unfortunately doesn’t exist anymore. Other parks like mirabilandia, Beto Carreiro World and Hopi Hari sucks.
Other countries in South America also don’t have anything interesting and worthy checking. :/
Same my family lives in Florianópolis so I took a drive from there to Beto Carrero. It’s fun to go there but it’s more like a Disney park
Going to a theme park with zero sleep is an experience…. I highly recommend

Up until about 20 years ago or a little more you used to be able to gas up and then pay afterwards here in the US

Keep in mind when we do that, we are comparing the respective ride to other rides in a similar category. Family rides are compared to family rides, thrill coasters are compared to thrill coasters.
