      Seems to me she’s not just doing tutorials, she’s hawking her products simultaneously. Which is time consuming, get to the point! I have one word for “aging, droopy eyes.” BLEPHAROPLASTY!!

      @Cinnamongun1 Not hawking, suggesting, simply because Nikol has put a lot of work into developing products that will help our particular concerns.. she is also aware of texture of same, how this may affect sensitive, older skin, such things that other product lines may not be considering. The design of her brushes too help older women achieve the look she is teaching, better.
      Not everyone can afford eye surgery or particularly wants to go "under the knife"..

    Love that you are allowing yourself, and encouraging other women, to age gracefully and not try to look like 20-year-olds long after it’s realistic. Aging is not the end of beauty - it’s just a transition in how you present your beauty. I love this eyeliner trick! I’ve dabbled with lining in the lash line, but I’ve never tried the little lift at the end of the lashes. Definitely trying that out! Thank you!

    • @ThundermansThunder
      @ThundermansThunder 2 года назад +16

      You make a good point. There is a beauty that comes with age that can sometimes rival that of younger women. Some of the most beautiful women that I have ever seen really seemed to peak in their physical beauty in their 40's and 50's despite the minor "imperfections," such as wrinkles, grey hair, etc. that may be present. Of course, physical beauty is temporal. The old saying "Pretty is, as pretty does" plays the biggest, most important factor in anyone's overall beauty, because inner beauty endures forever, the precious beauty that is not affected by time!

    • @CC12398
      @CC12398 2 года назад +7

      Yeah but seriously this woman has beautiful tight , skin no lines, if she colored her hair she would look early thirties or younger. I think that beautiful gray color is so nice on 60 and above.. it's like I know she's not old but I can't tell how old she is I would put her anywhere from 40 to 60 by the hair... This is coming from a 50-year-old woman .
      This woman is just beautiful

    • @EssentialTruth_
      @EssentialTruth_ 2 года назад +8

      @@CC12398 She really is beautiful. I think a lot of older women sell themselves short when it comes to beauty. Women in general do, though. Not that this woman in particular sells herself short, just reflecting on women’s beauty expectations in general. And we forget how outer beauty only takes a person so far. Inner beauty, in women AND in men, goes so much further. Anyone who doesn’t value you because you don’t meet their expectations of outer beauty, especially when your inner beauty (kindness, loving nature, intelligence, helpfulness, protectiveness, etc) shines so bright, is not worth your time. No one gets to the end of their lives and wishes they’d been around prettier people. They wish they’d surrounded themselves with inner beauty. It’s so much more fulfilling and brings so much more beauty to life than looks ever could even dream of doing. Anyway, that’s my monologue for the day. lol

All the other makeup tutorials that I've watched always use a ton of concealer and not only does it smell like clay, it makes your face feel like clay and it clogs your pores, dries out and breaks out your skin. I like how you kept things simple and highlighted your NATURAL beauty. This was full of nice tips and tricks and I also appreciate that you to the time to explain why you are choosing to use certain colors and explaining each step as you go. It made the video very easy to follow and the results turned out great! Thank you!

    Thank you Nikol for being SO VERY encouraging to all of your viewers; especially so, for us mature ladies. You are a tonic, yourself ! You do more than just lift and boost the eyes here but you lift and boost the soul, with your honesty and humour. Ive watched many other beauty channels, over the years, that just dont quite make that really vital, human connection. You are not just making videos but you actually connect with your audience, at that heart level. That is a game changer, imho. Instead of feeling that putting on eye makeup, especially for hooded eyes ( my upper lids sit right on my lash line ) is such a huge negative experience, you guide us through the whole process. The simple techniques you teach actually work! ..all the while encouraging us, as we come out the other, much sunnier side. I also love the way you, respectfully but cheerily, address us all as " ladies". Have a wonderful day. God bless you !

    Subscribed. I love, love, love your energy and information/tutorials. Just the other day I tried to give myself a winged look and I looked atrocious. I am 50 next year and can admit no more batwings for me. I am growing old gracefully and your make up tutorial about the eyes has helped me have confidence in my appearence and use of make-up. Thank you.

    thank you so much for this. I just turned 59, and like you said, the eyes are not the same as they once were when we were in our 20's, 30's and even our 40's. I've been having trouble with where to put the eye liner when it comes to my corners. And I been doing it all wrong ...lol... so thank you so much.

    Nikol, I am trying very hard to make the right choices for my makeup at age 77. I already started buying your products and some of those you recommend. I don’t want to miss a single video you do, you are so great at explaining every step you take and it’s purpose. I’m a little lost when it comes to what I need to buy first and how to organize all these products on my new vanity 😃. To simplify, I want to keep my products separated as to morning routine, night routine, and an everyday makeup routine. With all the products you use, where and how do you keep them separated ❓ BIG HUGS TO YOU FOR HELPING US ALL THROUGH THE DIFFICULT YEARS OF AGING. BettyGene

      One thing I decided to do was to put all products up to the point of makeup near my sink. Cleanser, facial spray, serums, moisturizer, sunscreen, etc. i had room fir a bamboo tray and put a plastic bin under the sink for the refills or things I may only use 1x/week.
      Then makeup goes elsewhere (vanity, top of a tall dresser, a wall mounted shelf…along with mirror with lighting appropriate for where I’m going). I went to the Container Store for clear lucite organizers to match what makeup items I use. A pretty piece of pottery or class for brushes, etc. It seems like the time spent flows much better now.

      You're my new hero. I tell everyone I plan on living to be 125. That doesn't mean I have to look 125. We will never look like we did in our 20's. We will continue to evolve as we age and I choose to embrace the journey and be the best I can be. Getting older doesn't bother me, but that doesn't mean I should no longer care about appearance. I know it will constantly change, and I will need to adapt and adjust whatever makes me feel good. I will never have plastic surgery, so I will continue to take good care of my skin.🙃

    Beautiful technique and application. I’ve been heading in that same direction with the liner going up or even not wearing eye makeup at all that often but still doing concealer, Blush, contour and lipstick. I don’t seem to look that great eyeliner anymore so I actually bought a couple of old school colored mascaras (green and blue) to bring a hint of color near my lash line as a liner substitute. I actually get a lot of compliments.

    This tutorial fell in my lap and I unexpectedly enjoyed it. Most make-up videos show layer over layer, over layer of cake and it looks terrible. Technically, I can still pull off a good wing tip, but at my current age, I reserve it for occasions I'm going for a more dramatic look. As I get older, I appreciate a more natural look. Being overdone on a regular basis just makes some women look even older. There's nothing wrong with ageing, but I have no interest in speeding up the process! Lol, I simply love that when she applies her eyeliner, she naturally runs the liner across the lid, and doesn't grab and pull on her eye like so many women do! At any age, but especially as we age, one technique or habit all women should follow is to not yank and pull on the eyelid to apply liner. I cringe when I see it done, The skin around the eye is so thin and delicate, with so little elasticity. Kudos for showing how it should be done.

    Nikol, i am enjoying your videos and am looking forward to trying some of these products. You are naturally beautiful and you make this look so easy and even fun. I am almost 74 years old and have enjoyed wearing make-up, starting with mascara and lipstick when I was 14 yrs. old. I will continue to wear it until I meet my maker. I am so jealous of your gorgeous hair. I once had very dark brunette hair and it is taking so long to lighten . I love your color. Thanks for sharing .

    Dear Lady,
    Thank you for the eyeliner tutorial! I'm 64, and eyeliner was always a challenge, more so now that I'm older. I do great until it's time to Apple eyeliner. Pencils have a tendencias to stick to my skin, for lack of a better way of saying it. You are majickal! I am dwfinitely subscribing to your channel. I love the máscara brush, as I have always had short eyelashes, and thin bristles work way better for me, but hard to find in the drug store, you know? Just because we aren't 25 anymore doesn't mean we are no longer beautiful. In many ways, we are more beautiful than we were before, because our lives shine through our beautiful faces.
    Love,
    Raquel 💜

      Don't be bummed out, this is a great time in your life, we experienced women are so lucky. We don't have to follow the crowd and look like everyone else. We know we have so much to offer. Feel strong and fearless, you are beautiful. Every line and wrinkle you see has been hard won, wear them with pride (but keep the skincare routines too -haha) We have to show the upcoming generations of women the great things that are in store for them as they add years of life. Just be you and let the glory of your beauty shine forth. The world needs us more than ever.
