‘The Red Dead Redemption Show’ is a channel that’s pretty much doing it the exact you just described. And they’re doing a great job at it, they already have a few episodes published.
Don't know if you'd like this idea, but I'd like to see a video about all the good things that happened because of the Van Der Linde gang's actions over the course of the game. It didn't work out for them personally but there was a benefit from their rampage like exterminating the Grays and Braithwaites.
The Grays are still active in (and still pretty much own/operate) Rhodes during the epilog chapters... so the gang didn't "eliminate them". They're still working the cotton gins, still in the sheriff's office, and still just generally in the area. Same with the Braithwaites... their main house got burned down, and several of the family were murdered... but there are still Braithwaites and servants living and working on the property... Some of the tobacco even grows back. And in my experience, the Braithwaites are not usually too hospitable if you go back during the epilog...
Man, I can't describe it but I've been on a rdr 2 binge both gaming and video watching wise but hearing the Gta music show up in the ned luke part brought the biggest dose of nostalgia out of nowhere
Agnes Dowd’s story made me think, imagine how creepy it’d have been to go to the mountains as John in the epilogue and hear a ghost whispering “I gave you all I had, I did”
I mean, you can go back to the old camps as John and hear the "ghosts" of gang members who passed. I think they're more like memories than actual ghosts, though.
late to party, but according to many cultures and beliefs, and to Agnes story in this game, ghosts that are still here and are repeating past tragic experiences can't leave this world and are stuck here, at least for some time. Maybe it's good we don't hear the ghost of Arthur, because that's how we know he's resting in peace.
I like the effect you do that as the Stagecoach driver is telling the story, the events sort of happen. Great story-telling. Immersive, if it were a film or children's story the world would slowly warp around them into the setting like a play.
It could be that they decided the dialogue would be too much on the nose. The ghost, for instance, loses a lot of its spook if you already knew about it from the beginning. But without having the slightest hint of an inkling as to what's out there in the swamps, you'd ride on through there by night (through an area that's already creepy enough by day) and suddenly saw that white entity shimmering through the crooked trees... The wolf man is another peculiarity that would be best discovered by the player on his own, without prior knowledge. He's less creepy, more really annoying, but will still make you raise your eyebrows - literally or figuratively - the first time you meet him and his bad doggos. Now, had these chats been more about worldbuilding, giving us the history of our destinations, places nearby, personal stories or plain gossip, with dialogue about the "weird stuff" having only a very low chance to appear if at all, this would have been an amazing feature indeed.
@@hunter_0221 no, I mean Strange Man’s directing. That wouldn’t happen in game, you’re right would ruin the scripting. Just random talk if you didn’t skip if that was still a feature. Strange man made it come to life I mean.
Why did they get rid of the stagecoach talk?! I love these stories. If only we had Undead Nightmare 2, this game is so spooky and would be an amazing setting for it!
Considering dialogues were already recorded my guess is it was due to some late gameplay-related issue, probably that they couldn't find a way to make the stagecoach not crash into random NPCs or make it not get stuck in places.

You know what I wished for? Instead of cutting out the gossips entirely and the optional long ride from RDR1, maybe after you pick your choice of destination the drivers would tell you some gossips through the loading screen before arrival at any chosen destination.
