My theory regarding the wooden leg: I like to think that the Strawberry shop owner is a Civil War veteran. Assuming he is around 60 years old in 1899, he could have easily enlisted in the army as a volunteer in 1861. Mind you, limb amputation was the most common surgical procedure executed at that time (three out of four surgeries, or about 60.000 operations; the introduction of the Minié ball was quite bone-shattering). The shop owner's leg reminds me of a specific prosthetic from around that time found in Woodhull, Ilinois. You can search it up yourself!
That actually puts some perspective in the situation of the homeless fake Civil War vet you meet, maybe they planned the shop keeper to interact with him about stolen valor?
The theatre ticket secret is a really cool one. Honestly amazing how something so missable, and such a small item can be held in your inventory, for hundreds of hours until you decide to go to the theatre and watch something there. A specific theatre at that. I'd assume some people would have grabbed the ticket and just forgot about it. Then not noticed when they eventually did go to that theatre. It's small things like that, which put this game Levels above any other game ever made in terms of detail. I truly think red dead 2 will be unmatched in terms of detail until the videogame market eventually dies.
The ticket is actually one of the requirements for gold on the Gilded Cage mission that’s how I knew about it. You know you get a ticket from that stage performer lady? The one you meet in Van Horn in the bar & you have to fight the Sherry Giant. I forgot she gives you a ticket for most of my playthrus & once I realized what I was missing I felt so stupid lol
The Wapiti one hurts so much, such chaos and death for getting the natives of Rain Falls out of that land for the oil, ending up with their tribe being destroyed just for the land to be dry, i never knew this but i did visit the reservation as John expecting a oil field to be there and instead only found some remnants of a driller and the place was deserted, all of that for nothing, thats so sad
It's so frustrating, the fact that not only did they do horrid things to the people there while trying to get them to leave to get to the oil, but also so many of their young men got manipulated by Dutch and lost their lives fighting a completely pointless fight! Rain Falls lost his last child, his home, and so many people for nothing!
@@lacytaylor1501exactly... it hurts because we know Rains Falls was a caring leader that loved his people and loved peace, Eagle Flies was like his father but young and naive with blood ready to boil but ultimatly he wanted his people to be free and respected, and Dutch made him boil, the wapiti indians got totally destroyed by everyone around them without ever doing anything to anger anyone, incredible how a small part of the story has so much depth
