Another hint for feeding the loop thru the hook eye. Use a piece of braid or thin mono. insert the line into the loop and thread both ends thru the hook eye (or bead) and pull thru.
Brad, I'm fairly new to tying my own rigs. This seems like the best one I've seen, because if you use a snap swivel for the weight, you can't really use bank weights (which I happen to have a bunch of). So thanks for the vid. I've learned a lot from you, Brant, and Matt. Thank you
Great video, the #4 circle is the only hook when using mole crabs- too many folks use too big of hook, heavy line. Some times my try something different whiting/pompano rig is same but with a small sliding bobber between top drop and swivel and no beads or floats on the dropper. Tight lines from the Space Coast!
one tip: if you're having trouble getting line through hook eye, get a random piece of line and run it through dropper loop and put both tag ends through loop eye, then slide hook down to the dropper loop and pull. It should pull the loop through the eye. Then you can just take the stray line out.
Great vid Brad what size weights would you use and what would you use for bait tytyty as u k ow I just moved to Florida from Colorado lol you the man tytyty
We moved from Nashville. We’re living in an apartment right now. Coming from Nashville, the home prices really aren’t that much different unless you’re buying right at the beach
2 years late with answer. [ If you get a stray piece of line, maybe about 7 inches or so. Put the stray line through dropper loop then put both ends of that stray line through hook eye.] [ then while holding the tag ends of stray line, slide hook down towards loop and pull through.]
@@BeardedBrad92 just got in from nashville last night. Gonna try for whiting a couple of days. Then reds and sheepshead for a couple days. Maybe I’ll see you out there somewhere.
@@BeardedBrad92 I talked to you at the pass back in October or November one morning before you went to work. I knew you said you were from nolensville.
Check out this video to see the whiting rig in action!

Another great video Brad, Merry Christmas and happy Holidays to you and the family!
Thanks man! Merry Christmas!
THANKS FOR SHARING THIS VIDEO, BRAD!
Nice job. Looking forward to heading that way soon. Merry Christmas!

Nbd, but P Line Floroclear isn’t fluorocarbon line. It’s a co-poly with fluoro coating. Good line though
why we need a bead before the hook?
Great vid Brad what size weights would you use and what would you use for bait tytyty as u k ow I just moved to Florida from Colorado lol you the man tytyty
What do you use for a rod and reel combo for whiting and pompano thanks
Is the circle hook perfect for tiny very small whitings
So, what is the purpose of the beads? I know to use them to protect a knot from a weight. Are they used to keep the loop at the hook tighter?
They’re also used to help attract the fish
@@BeardedBrad92 Thanks for the info. I’m retired in N. GA. And want to move to GS/OB. Where did you move from? Was it hard to find a decent house?

@@BeardedBrad92 I bet that was a hard place to leave. I love Nashville, at least as a tourist. BTW, i commented a message on your latest FB post.
Do you single drop rigs and if so is there a vid showing how to make it? Thanks
The exact same way. I make them all the time. Just don’t make two drops and shorten the length of the rig overall
What size weight do you use?
Where can I find those multi color beads like you're using?
I get them at Hobby Lobby
@@BeardedBrad92 THANK YOU!!
Why do you need the beads?
If you can’t get the loop to fit through the eye of the hook, can you cut the loop at one end and then tie the hook on or will it slip under pressure?
