Even though you recorded in 4k. You didn't set the editing programm to 4k yet. So it downscales to full hd 1080p when rendering. BUT! The difference between the two cam's is huge! Its so crisp that i think by looking at your hat i can knit my own now. And when from total black too an image. It does auto focusing so fast you dont even see it. Congrats with this purchase. Im very excited too see more future crispy carpetbagger vids. And too be part of the new era of your channel ❤🎉..
Even if he had, part of it was filmed in 1080. I don't believe RUclips allows a video to switch between resolutions. Even so, filming at 4k and outputting at 1080 would still improve the overall quality as you can see.

Hi Jacob, what a great camera, and yes, the microphone is much better and will be great in museums when you talk in a hushed voice.
@@JohnKelly2editing software can use footage from any resolution and output in 4k

honestly this looks really good overall. the focus is really nice, the audio is really clear not just from your vocals but also the background noise from the ride and such
I like how it tracks you, especially at Selfy Park when you were posing at Dolly and Willie. It seems like someone else is running the camera, which is fantastic. That effect is smooth, fast, and without overdoing it. The sound is different but decent; the added mic might allow you to talk to us without disturbing others. I think you made a good choice.
I think the face tracking feature is pretty cool… it’s smooth. It keeps you centered and in frame. I think you made a great choice.

The low light footage has been the best I've seen on your channel
Totally the video quality is great. The face tracking feature can make some people seasick. The onboard mic is out 100 times better than your old camera I heard new sounds in the dark ride that I had not heard before. I think the best use for the mic will be when shouting in museums so that you can record with a quieter voice and we don't get so much background nose.
Skin tones and color fidelity seem to be spot on. Sharpness is good. Looks good. No problems with the audio. I haven't been in a car wash in years. Always great.
I actually love it! The sound quality is so much better! I watched you ride this ride with the other camera and this is so much better. The detail and sound is fantastic! The colors outside is more vivid. Love that microphone and face feature. That camera is a winner to me!
Love my Pocket 3. Just started filming a few months ago and then bought one, and it works great for me. Definitely an upgrade from my phone.Taking it to Vegas in the morning. I just wish it had a more powerful zoom. Also, it's a great primary camera, but want a secondary that's waterproof. I forgot to test the lowlight when I was at the Denver Meow Wolf, so I have to remember to test it at Omega Mart when I get there. 😉

Yay! I'm one of the many who suggested the Osmo Pocket 3 and so glad you got it! The digital zoom isn't the best, but it gets the job done. That's part of the sacrifice for having such a compact camera, I guess. One of the main benefits is the formfactor being less conspicuous than a traditional camera, which will allow people to act more naturally when you're out and about.
Looking forward to future vids with this new gear!

Tracking does have it's uses.

Love this new camera for the channel! I think it fits you perfectly, sometimes in your videos you will set up the camera to go stand under or near something now it will follow you and we got audio! Awesome choice Jakob it definitely makes a big difference.
It is a crisper picture. Sharper background. It is a better camera. Tracking will be fine once in a while. We can still hear you but the sound of your voice is diferent. I think the camera is pretty good!

I really like this camera for your channel!! 1) Love the Bluetooth mic- curious to hear how well it works filtering wind, which always sounds dreadful w iphone. 2) I like the face tracking when the camera is stationary. It feels like the viewer IS the camera. May take some getting used to when walking through attractions with face tracker. You may not need to use it all the time, but it’s an excellent feature. 3) Love the wider screen. 4) My only criticism is wishing the zoom was less abrupt, but that’ll certainly get worked out in the newer models!
I just purchased a really nice gimbal for my iPhone, but this video has me thinking of replacing with this camera!

I love honking in the tunnel. I like your new camera I like it. It follows you around. And the microphone sounds great. I feel like I can see more on this video in the dark on that ride than any other video I’ve seen before.
Yes definitely use the lavalier mic with the wind filter on it 👍🏻 always use that over the camera microphone 🎙️ and always keep the wind filter on! That's what I do! Even if it's not windy it always sounds better with it on. 👍🏻

To be perfectly honest, I was fine with the old camera, but the bells and whistles on the new one are very cool, and when you had the microphone clipped to your shirt it looked like you were being attacked by a tribble. The Jurassic boat ride was cool as always, and only you can make going through a car wash feel like an adventure. Also, a quick glimpse of Clark in the Bunker! Yay!

I usually put your videos on the TV while I make breakfast and start my day-. On the big screen TV, the new camera looks great, crisp and clean. The head tracking is smooth. The low light seems to be good too. I don’t make RUclips videos, but I kind of want one!

I really like this new setup Jacob. DJI have great products! The sound with the mic is much better and crispier. The lighting on the camera is much better. I’m glad you’re trying something new.
I am loving the new cam, the colors are so much better, I love the feature that follows you around, the Bluetooth mic is amazing. It will be so cool when you go to take pics with statues and stuff and we'll be able to hear you. It looks so good when you're driving. I really like the face tracking features, the zoom looks great. I think the low lite looks great, I love that you can see the beams of light from the spit lights. I think you're going to love the nes cam especially the way you hold it, were going to be getting a whole new carpetbagger.

The pic looks good from my end. The face following was good when far away. When you were testing in the bunker up close with the face following I felt a little disoriented. Have fun using the camera. Looking forward to seeing the upcoming videos.
If you’re worried about the facial tracking, I’d say to only use it when you’re walking around. When you’re sitting still, it is constantly adjusting itself and that can be quite distracting, so it is better to just turn it off (to keep a “calm-close-up” a “calm-close-up,” for lack of a better term). Other than that, I was quite impressed, definitely an improvement and worth the purchase! Keep making great videos!!
I like the new camera! I think the face following feature has a LOT of potential at museums or other situations when you want to walk around and show us things. It's like having a second person to operate the camera for you. At first the mics seemed a little low, but by the end, the mic levels seemed normal. The focus was a little soft when showing us the pressed penny, so you might experiment more with close ups and macro shots. Love the 4th of July Buckee!

All I can think of for Willie Nelson ON THE ROAD AGAIN.... I don't know if that is the name of the song or not but whenever family used to go on a road trip that was how we would start it off. WITH ON THE ROAD AGAIN. AND WE WOULD HUM THE REST CAUSE WE HAD NO CLUE WHAT THE REST OF THE WORDS WERE. So stupid now that I'm recalling it now. OH WELL... I LOVE YOUR NEW CAMERA.

Used my OP3 last night for the first time. Love it.
Footage looks crisp. But when in selfie mode concentrate on looking at the camera lens instead of the view screen so that it looks more like you are talking to us and not to the camera. Good luck bud.

Pocket 3 is a great choice. I use both the Dji Action 4 and Pocket 2. You'll love the built-in Mics, Gimbal and low light quality on the Pocket 3.
I had the original DJI osmo before it was pocket-sized and it was really good! ☺️💯 You're in good hands Jacob just be careful not to lose the micro SD cards!

By the way this only showed up in 1080p for me but that is more than enough. In my experience the additional file size and hassle of dealing with 4K videos isn't worth it. It looks fantastic already

For what it’s worth I liked the face tracking when you were outside, but wasn’t so much of a fan at your desk. It felt mechanical at the desk, but outside it worked. Probably because the movement was natural outside and not forced. Overall, I like it. Good camera choice

The face tracking is great. I really appreciate the stabilization of the footage with the pocket. It is a definite yes to keep using for me.
Much better camera. Everything seemed super clear. I compared to older videos and definitely a difference for the better. The first thing that jumped out was the detail in your hat. Definitely a thumbs up for camera.
