I find it interesting how these women surrounding Robert are simultaneously attractive yet vapid, their heavily made-up faces as vacuous as those of runway models; something assembly-line-ish about them. They never compete with Robert for the camera's attention, but rather wonderfully enhance his own elegance.

He died of a heart attack in his 50's. Very sad.
When my brother was in Australia a few years ago, he met a concert promoter through work, he said he looked after Robert palmer several times when he was over there, a absolute gentleman, you could not meet a nicer guy r.i.p. Robert.

When I was a young Black man in the late 80's to mid 90's I couldn't stand Robert Palmer. Today in 2022 as a 57 year old man I love his music. The man was a cool blue eyed soul brother. He really felt the music he made & his voice is one point. I wish I appreciated him sooner.

Saw Robert Palmer & his band at an open air gig on a hot sunny day in Birmingham in '88 with other guest artists & he was absolutely brilliant. How he managed to wear a suit in that heat, he's one cool dude !
