Babolat Pure Drive VS tennis racquet review
Power
632 cm² = a bit control oriented
less powerful than the Pure Drive with a 100 frame
among the racquets with a 98 frame, a bit control oriented, it's one of the most powerful racquet
not so far from the Head Radical MP, Radical Pro and from the Wilson Clash 100
nice sensations on my slice backhand, good control
fine also on my top spin groundstrokes
I sometimes lacked control on powerful shots without much top spin
it was fine for my forehand, which is less powerful and less relaxed than my backhand
Top spin
very good access to top spin for a racquet with a 98 frame
not as good as what you can have with 100 frame with 16x19 string pattern but as for the power, one of the racquets with a 98 frame that provides the best access to top spin
Manoeuvrability
very good manoeuvrability thanks to the 98 frame and the neutral balance
better manoeuvrabilty than the Pure Drive 100 that has a bigger head size
just a bit of weight at the tip, enough to provide stability and to help for the power
Forgiveness-comfort
the comfort is correct and the forgiveness on off center shots is good for a 98 frame
of course, you need to be more precise to center the ball with a 98 frame than with a 100 but it was really correct
much better in my opinion than with the Wilson Pro Staff 97 for example
and rather close to what is offered by the Yonex 98 Vcore or Ezone that have a nice forgiveness
For who
not for beginners, because of the head size a bit small and because the racquet is a bit control oriented
for intermediate or advanced players with an agressive game with top spin
not a huge top spin, it would be easier with a 100 frame
players with a flat game but not too powerful, because you could lack control
players able to produce some power and at the same time who don't want a very control oriented racquet
players looking for a racquet with an average/a bit small head size that provides a nice manoeuvrability, a bit of control, and at the same, that provides a good amount of power
players who want a racquet that weights 300 g with a 98 frame because there are not many
at the time of the video, there's a also the Head MXG 1, ProKennex Ki Q+ Tour, Tecnifibre Tfight 300.

Babolat racquets always make that weird tinny sound on contact. How does this compare to the 2013 Aeropro Drive. Thank you!
I think it depends on the strings and the model. The new pure strike and aero have a stronger dampen feel in my opinion and it changes the sound.

How accurate is this racket if you go for the lines?
For me, the precision is normal. Anyway if I make a mistake I always think it's because of me, not the racquet 🙂
