I really enjoy her. I have never found a person with this personality and I love it! SO informative, funny and the best thing---COLORFUL. I love how it turned out!
I agree Sewing is therapy! I was just thinking that today when I went up to my sewing area and was making stuff. But I had to stop because I was having issues with my bobbin getting tangled. In my early stages of sewing….someone said when you’re having problems or stuff isn’t turning out right to step away from it and come back the next day. So I covered my sewing machine, came downstairs and decided to watch a RUclips video and so happy to see a new one of yours! That dress you re-purposed was gorgeous, and I absolutely loved the bows on the back so cute!
I come for the sewing, I stay for the personality ( and the seriously amazing clothes)😊Sewing is my therapy, too. I never would have made it through 2020 without it.
LOVED watching your process here, and I'm living off the energy you're bringing. BRB gonna dive into the pile of dresses I've been wanting to hem and rework!
I’ll tell ya, it’s how I usually roll….it was a different beast trying to film it at the same time, but I’m glad I did- with social media, I hate for folks to get tricked into thinking people sew up things perfectly with no issues. Issues are opportunities!
My nine year old just watched the last few moments ('peace out, emphasis on peace') with me, then went back to her wordsearch saying, "She sounds cool." You deffo are (and now I want bows on all my things). XD
I love your style so much! This is just how I love to sew with no plan and winging it! You never know what will happen and your always pleasantly surprised!
Sewing is therapeutic for me also. It allows me to relax and feel free to do what I want and exercise my mind. I love it. I do it for me.I won’t sell anything I make. I give them away freely and rarely sew requests of others unless it is something I want to do. If I made a business out of it, that would create unwanted pressure on my time. Also I’m new so I don’t want the criticism if it isn’t perfect.
😍🤩 This is SO FUN! 🤩😍 I have a few pieces hanging around that need to get the edit, time to start plotting. 😊 I already know I’m going to have to twist them bows, I want all the patterns! On a personal note, shout out for talking about the hard things in the most relatable way. The recognition that this “craft/hobby” is so much more, it’s the way we get to heal ourselves, have those inner conversations…. cause when we say it out loud, we might make a bit more trouble for ourselves than we need. Maybe. 😊 Most of all, we get to connect and thank you Marcy for helping inspire that connection and growth. Preciate you! 💖
I always look forward to watching your videos while sewing, your personality in these videos is therapy for me! You are like a fun play cousin. The bow at the top of the back is beautiful; definitely something I will try. I immediately thought of a remnant bow on a clutch purse or tote as well! I also love that you self draft AND are technical usually sewists are totally one or the other. Thanks!
Oooh yes you just reminded me of a clutch I made with a giant bow as a handle! I need to make one of those soon…. 🎥 And thank you so much for the lovely compliments 💗
Oh, I love this! My lazy self might have stopped at putting the first bow edges on top of the sweater fabric instead of under and let them hang off, but then I’d have missed out on the triple bows. I swear I think I had something similar back in the 80s. 😂 Glad to see you back, missed your shenanigans!
Thanks for the bow tutorial. It's just that easy. Also, I want to thank you from the bottom of my easily distracted SQUIRREL!! brain. There are a lot of presenters on ytube with a lot of fingernail. Not throwing shade on those with imaginative or fancy manicures, not at all. We do what makes us feel like a million bucks. But the nails pull my eye, and then I start wondering about what the person's thought process was on those color choices, and if their friend helped them, and if they do nails for their day job and how do you go to the powder room with those, and and and. So having you sew with quiet clean nails is appreciated, and I enjoyed how you saved the deep cut with festive bows. The backside looks like a grown up glamorous set of stealth wings -- deities or butterflies, your choice. Be well. All the best for the coming years. your pal, Miss Ruby
Miss Ruby this made me laugh out loud! Sometimes I pause to point out that my nails aren’t manicured or painted, I just can’t keep up with keeping it up 💅🏽 but I often think I have the worst sewing nails on RUclips 🤣So I appreciate it! Also want stealth wings on everything now…..
Hi Marcy, I just found this video. I was in AZ last month when this one dropped. Love the "fix." Boy do I need my sewing "fix," lol... You look GREAT!!! ~Muzette
I saw your post on IG and was waiting for the yt notification.. yt notification failed me. I'm so glad I got to see your refashion. It looks so great and the binding for the knit is a wonderful idea. Thank you for sharing.
I love you and your hubby. Not only do you have great info and ideas, you make it so fun! When I found you originally on Craftsy, you inspired me with your jean jacket remake. Thanks so much for sharing with us!
Wow Wow Wow! This video was soooooo much to watch. I love that you improvised along the way. You inspire me to think outside the box to create something beautiful! QQ: Can I use this same method to change the neckline of a T-Shirt? I have a short neck and would love to open the neckline of the T-shirts I acquired on vacation. QQ: Do you have a video for changing the neckline of t-shirts or will you create one? I’ll search your video library! Thank you for sharing your sewing skills and knowledge ! Best to you and Rob, Christean A.
Hi Christean, sorry to miss your Qs! Yes, you can change the neckline of a T shirt this way-if you’re not as raucous as me 😂, cut less than you need at first and keep trying it on. I don’t have any T shirt videos, but that’s a great idea!
Hmmmmm….you could use them on smaller pattern pieces, like a yoke or a collar…ooooo actually I just got a brainstorm, lemme test something out and see if it’ll work!
I really enjoy her. I have never found a person with this personality and I love it! SO informative, funny and the best thing---COLORFUL. I love how it turned out!
😁thank you so much Gail! I do crack myself up 😬😬

Love it! Totally inspired to rehashing sweaters. Twill tape is on my list of supplies! The much needed tip! TFS!
I’ve always got two rolls!!
I love that you just jumped in and showed us the whole process and pivot to fix what could have been a total fail.
I’ll tell ya, it’s how I usually roll….it was a different beast trying to film it at the same time, but I’m glad I did- with social media, I hate for folks to get tricked into thinking people sew up things perfectly with no issues. Issues are opportunities!

That is a VERY high compliment. I’ll take it!!
You are Priceless, you given me the desire to sew again, thanks so much for your wonderful video, you ROCK!
I love your style so much! This is just how I love to sew with no plan and winging it! You never know what will happen and your always pleasantly surprised!
Always, always be the one to tell the fabric what to do. 💪😤... ❤️ it!
Thank you so much! You are so right. Life should be made of bows!😂 Keep it up, you and your bows, you are wonderful!
