Hey Josh, congrats on the 1k subscribers. My son does car detailing and has applied ceramic coating to his R32 just recently and we’re thinking to do it to my R50 Touareg. I like the result you got here and will get around to doing it to my R50 sometime soon. Thanks for all the clips and hoping for more Touareg clips through 2020!

That is a great shine considering this is 11 year old original paint. I've always thought the Touaregs had great paint quality that holds up very well with time, especially the T1's. Unfortunately my T2 has a small spot on the hood where the clear coat is peeling, and the roof is a total disaster. I'll have to address those two issues soon, right after the front end rebuild and repairing the parking sensors...again.
2 out of the 3 Touaregs I have owned have had the same faded paint problem. You should check out the video when I fixed the hood. Made a big difference. ruclips.net/video/V7cZl6PSjyY/видео.html

Did you clay bar before applying the $14 Ceramic Coating? That will make a big difference on how smooth the paint will feel. Clay barring is the best way to clean the paint pours from contaminants first before applying any type of wax. It looks like it made the paint finish much better.
